In America, probably not until December...that is unless ep 311 is the mid season finale...then we probably won't see any until next year already.
Has anyone heard any news if the writers of Avatar are joining with the WGA strike?

I think that all the Avatar episodes have already been written and animated.
I hope that there are no issues with the strike.

well if they are all already written then they will have no problems... the only thing is that the writters can't change anything or edit... whatever was turned in before the strike can be used but with no edits or anything.... so here's hopeing that the new episode will be out friday!

Yes, all the episodes have been written. All the voice work (other than recuts when the final animation comes back) has been done. The animation is being cleaned up and the sound effects are being added to the last few episodes. There's really nothing to worry about in that department. blaugh
From what it sounds like though, only the first 10 episodes (including 11 for consistency purposes) are going to be aired in the first 10 weeks for the USA. Then when December or January hits, is when the last few episodes are going to air. 3nodding

Actually in the second half of the season, they might stretch it out a little bit; like most seasons. I think they all want it to end by mid spring of next year...
But just to clarrify, there will be more Avatar after this season right? Not just with the same characters?

But just to clarrify, there will be more Avatar after this season right? Not just with the same characters? I don't know... they would need a whole new story line... cause this one it will end with the downfall of the firelord which is what the whole three seasons has been about... so I don't know what more they can really do with the idea...

312, "the western air temple" should come out in January for the US, december for other countries. I know they are making some sort of Avatar movie...... Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, in an interview with Robert Moscoe of Avatarspirit.net RM: I'm not supposed to talk about Season Three but do you have any thoughts as to what the future of Avatar might be other than the live action movie that they're talking about, which will be a little off on its own? MDD: Well, we'll be pretty involved with that, so that'll keep us very busy the next few years. RM: So any future for the cartoon? MDD: Well, we don't know yet. We've got some ideas. BK: We've always got tricks up our sleeves. RM: Well I know shows often continue on into OAVs and movie events...that sorta thing. MDD: We love the avatar universe so we want to keep telling stories in it if we have the outlet for it. We're just not interested in watering this storyline down, or filling it...keeping it dragging on. We try to make it as potent as we can. That's our big priority. Still, we'll do some other things. (laughter) We're not retiring. Yeah....There will be more Avatar after Book 3 ends.
