Anyone heard anything about this? It's going to be a live stage performance, based on Holy Grail. I really want to see it, but so far from all I've heard, the only places it's scheduled for as of yet are a short run in Chicago, and then going to Broadway in New York.

Next year, from what my best friend tells me. She lives in NY and is going to go see it in June.

I've heard about it, but I can't say that I'm looking forward to it. I've heard that there's new material been added in (although anyone's free to correct me on this), and it just seems tyo've been made because Eric Idle needed the royalties, according to the feedback I've seen on the idea.

New material? If it's in America, I can understand, to make it more funny in the eyes of the adverage American. I'd like to watch and see what's different. 3nodding

I'd like to watch and see what's different. 3nodding I think it's that kind of macabre curiosity that's keeping my attention, too. After all, after his "FCC song", it's not as though we don't know that Idle can't still write reasonable material. I just don't see what need there is to fix what isn't broken. There aren't even any jokes that I'd call especially Anglo-centric, and I can't think of anything else that might make the show unpalatable. If there was anything there, the movie wouldn't have been a success in the first place. My main fear is that, for today's audience, it might get dumbed down.

I'm just hoping that they 1) get people who can to british accents properly; 2) don't change the story.
But on the second point, I guess I can see where people could just burst out into song, so it's just picking the moments. As long as it doesn't happen in places where it doesn't make sense, I guess...

*sniff* Spamalot is premering in Chicago... And guess what ladies and gentle-thingies I live in Chicago.. scream BUT BEHOLD THE FOLLY OF MAN parents... *a-hem* stare They will not pay for my most world worthy edevour to view this show of hiliarity. ALACK ALACK I am sent to dream about it. But I suppose I could be worse off. I could mistake myself for Trosky and/or a lounge singer..
