The Pelican landed near one of the MAC gun generator not taken over by the Covenant, yet. Liz jumped out of the Pelican, followed by the others. She detached the Corvette, and, seeing that were no visible heat scaring on the car, or that the wheels had not popped, she turned to the sound of a Marine walking up behind her. She did not recognize her, she must have been the leader of the Marines who guarded the MAC generator. They saluted to each other, and she saluted to Liz's team. They saluted back, and went back to unloading the Pelican.

Liz talked with the leader a bit and found out a few things. First, three MAC generators remained under human control. Second, to win the battle obverhead, at least 2 more generators must be under human control. Third, ONI was offering a prize to whomever could capture one of the Covenant's new Anti-Air Wraiths, which no one has seen yet, although hundreds of Hornets were being shot down a few miles east of here. Finally, the generator that they landed near was about to come under assault from Covenant ground and air forces. She told her team what she had learned and then asked the leader if she knew if the UNSC could spare a few extra Pelicans. She said that she didn't know. "Okay, listen up Marines! Aen and Thomas, you two stay here and guard this generator with Shelby (the leader) and her team. Sarah, you and John will go and take that AA Wraith. Bring a few heavy weapons, but don't destroy it! Take a Warthog, too. Me, Tessy and Ace will go and capture the two other generators. Dismissed!" Liz ordered. She got into the Corvette, strated it, got out and jumped onto the roof. "Tessy, you drive. Ace, you have shotgun." She said when she loaded the gun. "Shelby! You take control of that Pelican! Don't get it shot down! It's our only way off of this rock!"

"They are here ahead of scedule! For the moment, defend all perimeters!" Liz yelled while Shelby backed into the Pelican and ran to the controls. She lifted off and turned around, aiming the gatling gun on the nose of the aircraft at the now hordes of Grunts streaming out from the forest. "Get in the car!" Liz yelled at Ace and Tessy. They jumped in and Ace leaned out of the passenger side window, one of his Magnums in hand. "Gun it toward them!" Liz yelled again. "Excuse me?!" Tessy yelled over the gunfire of the Pelican. "Just do it!" She yelled back, then over TACCOM, "Shelby, be more warry of incoming Banshees!" "Fine!" She replied, and zoomed over the Grunts and started to circle around the generator before hovering to a stop over it. Tessy raced the Corvette toward the Grunts, and in reply, 400 hands lit up with Plasma Grenades. "Incoming!" Liz yelled, Aiming the Maching gun at the Grunts, hoping to get at least 1 plasma grenade in that bright blue light.

Sarah nodded and pulled out her pistol, shooting at one of the grunts that appeared, one of those without a grenade. Her pistol flared red at the end as the rounds poured out on the ailen. She took a quick look around to see where John was so they could go afterwards. With her free hand she quickly felt her back to check her sniper rifle was still there. It was. A second grunt appeared behind the now bullet-rided first. She shot at that, too, making her shots count so she wouldn't waste ammunition.

Aen leveld the rifle to his shoulder, and fired into a oncomming group of grunts, soon to be follwed by a Elite. He lit the Elite up with lead, but it didn't do much from its shields. He took the empty clip, and slammed another one in, and fired into it. The Elite fired back with its Plasma Rifle. Aen dodged the hot stream of death, behind a part of the generator.

"With plesure!" Aen shouted back, smiling. He stood up and fired into the armor and head of the alien. It was down in seconds. The plasma took out the grunts aswell. "A second helping" He muttered to himself, looking in the direction of the covanent assault.

Sarah did a quick duck-and-roll before springing to her feet. Her little move had narrowly made her avoid the plasma beam that shot out of the rifle an Elite was holding. IT had also helped her avoid the launched plasma grenade nearby, which fortunately weakened the Elite's shields on his left side. She quickly ran to the alien's left side, but it turned. She thought quick, and fired at his head. It gave a ping sound as it bounced off the shield, then rocketed off the gun underneath. It was just enough of a distraction for Sarah to get around to his side and fire several rounds into the Elite.
"Score three," she muttered to herself, searching for any ammo for her gun.
