I'm here to "serve others"--that is, help others learn and grow while trying to do the same for myself.
I just hope for a long, peaceful, happy life. heart

To die, but most of all to be alive for those I love.
To brave the pain of failure, loss, and hopelessness in the pursuit of what's right.
In an infinite universe, nothing we ever do could ever really matter. I try anyway.
If God was wrong and abandoned me it wouldn't be possible to beat him. I'd try anyway.
Live your life changing and changed causes, through things you'd give up your life for, and you realize how precious it is to be alive.

I stay alive because whatever problems i have now I will probably still have in death so there is nothing to gain by dying
I've actually been told I will have More issues to deal with when I am dead so I'd probably be less happy even if I was allowed to interact more etc.
That sucks...
But the reason I still have will to interact is my over whelming curiosity... Thats a big reason
I want to know... about people about other ways of being. I want to try everything once. I want to do everything once. I want to know all I can about everything to whatever extent I can!
I want to know how people are and why people are... and alot of things about people. Also it is pretty fun most fo the time to be alive. I mean... what is life without change... and I don't think I could give up on the movement. I like moving I like being I like changing things.
I like building and teaching and just being... its pleasant...

Also, if this thread stays only a "Here is an idea and this is what I think" fest, and no one discusses the posts of others, I'll consider it a failure. We are here for more than recording our own thoughts.

What is your meaning for life? I am not quite sure.
Why do you stay alive? I believe it's for my family's sake, and because I'm sort of a coward as well. sweatdrop
What do you hope for? A lot of things... actually...
Some things are obviously not obtainable at this point in time... but maybe it's a matter of time as well?
What keeps you going? Being a coward and also the want of seeing new things...
What makes you do what you do? Some mysterious inner drive I guess.
What with parents thinking that I should have been gone by now... I honestly don't know what I would do besides the computer and talking to people... and playing games when alone. I seem to have been doing the gaming less and more of reading in my spare time if applicable.
Speaking of talking about other views...

I would like to hear more about your view of death and the like... things be harder? I'm... sadly assuming you mean something after death in store for you...?

What is your meaning for life?
To help others learn and grow and love, while learning those things myself.
Why do you stay alive?
Mainly for my family. If they all disappeared randomly one day, I'd make sure I did too.
What do you hope for?
To find a strong sense of self and perhaps be able to exist for myself someday; to find peace.
What keeps you going?
My friends and family, as well as my neverending reservoir of stubborness
What makes you do what you do?
I love people so much, that's my main motivator for my actions.

@Knola: I never thought of those things being a necessity before. Huh. Maybe if I can learn to see it that way it would make things a little easier. heart
@Sin: I'm curious on what you meant by things being harder after death, too. If I go by what I've been told and feel in my heart, I agree that death won't make things easier. But harder?
@aaarhus: To keep going is NOT being a coward. You may find it cowardly that you can't actually commit the act of ending your life, but I can tell you since I was there that it's not as hard as you think when you let things take over. But letting yourself do that, THAT is what is cowardly; not continuing on living.

Why do you stay alive?Because of a bunch of organs and cells working in unison within my body by a respiratory and digestive system.
What do you hope for?My friends/family to be happy for me to die(yeah, it'll never happen...)
What keeps you going?My slight desire to learn and my friends' incessant "don't kill yourself" speeches. That and the fact; though I have no reason to live, I have no reason to die either.
What makes you do what you do? Boredom, or just the want to prove I can do it to an extent. Also helping people, and respect for others' self interest.
Yeah, I'm not afraid to be selfish coward sometimes xd

What is your meaning for life?
Three words: "Wait and see." Not in the sense that "you'll know the meaning of life when you die," but the meaning is literally "wait and see."
Why do you stay alive?
Do you want my emo reason or my super-emo reason? My emo reason is that it'd tear my extended family apart if I died (saw it happen when my 12-year-old cousin died). My super-emo reason is that death doesn't really have anything for me. I think death is the separation of the mind and body, and while I surely hate my body, death wouldn't get me away from myself, which would be ideal. Emo enough for you?
What do you hope for?
An interesting life. Dying young, preferably murder. To find a passion.
What keeps you going?
Curiosity, mostly. Kind of goes with the whole "wait and see" thing.
What makes you do what you do?
The people who are offended by me don't deserve to know me, and the people who aren't offended by me become my best friends. I don't make a point to offend people, but hey, it happens. Seems a bit egotistical, I know. But frankly I don't care if people like me or not unless I get strong benefit from them liking me. For example, I told a friend of mine something the other night (after his demanding that I tell him) that has now caused him to try and avoid me. I mean, while I'm a little annoyed at him, I really don't care that much if he doesn't like me or tries to avoid me.

Just in case one of my greatest fears is true and there's nothing after death, I guess.

Eternity. To become either one with singularity, which might be bad, or good, or to become the height of whatever archetype it is I am.

What doesn't? Time heals everything.

My own interests, I suppose?
