It was odd; for one so energetic, Riley sure could sleep. The sun was already high in the sky, beconing for her to rise for the 6th hour straight. Finally she seemed to respond...either that or she had recharged herself and was good to go again. The mare blinked her emerald eyes, squinting in the light and flicking her ears in irritation. "Hmph, stupid sun," she grumbled stretching out her neck and spreading her jaw in a long yawn.
Finally she pulled her legs out from under her torso, bumbling awkwardly to her feet. Shaking her messy mane she finally had her vision adjust. Miles of surging, swooping grasses spilled out before her. Perking up her ears flicked forward and a grin spread across her muzzle. She then flung her hooves into motion, springing across the sea of gold.

It was so hot. The sun smiled down at him from above, or maybe it was laughing? His coat made him sweat, and there was only a small breeze every couple minutes. It was bright too, making Ed squint his gold eyes just to be able to see. His ears moved to every little sound that was made around him. He heaved a sigh and started across the golden field, feeling the grass swish against his flanks.
He started his trek at a slow pace. Soon finding out that he was getting hotter by the second, he sped up, moving into a light trot. The wind that was making his coat flap felt amazing, and his golden hair, held in a braid, bounced from shoulder to another. So intent he was on getting to the other side of this field, he forgot his surroundings and moved into a full gallop.

Despite her current speed, Riley noticed something out of the corner of her eye. Legs still surging and lungs puffing in a thundering, steady rythm she turned her head. It looked to be another equine a bit of a ways away! And it was running too. A feeling of excitement swelled in her chest and she was unable to resist. She churned her legs faster, picking up and turning so that she could run parallele to the stranger. And with a competative bursh she accelerated forward, attemting to pass him. Lets see who's faster, hmmm?

Flying. That’s what it felt like at least, that he could jump and would suddenly be running over grass, and through the air. His eyes were shut, but they quickly snapped open when he heard something. He looked behind him only to notice another horse coming up right behind him. And was somehow now beside him. A race was it? He smiled and willed his legs to move faster, putting on a burst of speed. No way he was going to lose.
