Eruanna wasn't... precisely... sure where she was. Not that she really cared, mind you. She'd gone out exploring and that was precisely what she was doing. She had a keen sense of smell, she could find her way back, no problem. For the moment, however... there was a rabbit right over there that looked like it needed some chasing. The young kitsusagi smiled a fangy little grin, smoky tails flicking in anticipation. She was going to see if all that play-practice at stalking and pouncing was doing her any good. Not that she was sure what she'd do with the rabbit if she did catch it... but she didn't tend to think that far ahead.

His single red eye narrowed, as the odd male stood unmoving staring down a pebble. He was sure the pebble had spoken to him, and as such hadn't moved from its sight since. Wing marked ears fliped back against his skull, as he lowered his head just enough to poke the pebble with his nose. Swiftly he pulled his head back, blinking his one good eye. "Why does the pebble not talk to Eir'Vidar anymore?" he questioned it, before gently taping it with a black paw. "It was talking to him before." a grunt passed his nostrils as he circled around the little rock.
How rude of it to talk to him and then stop and stay silent when he talked back to it.
A sudden russtle behind him caused jump, swiftly turning around. His one eye fixed upon two long ears in the distance. What was that? It kind of seemed like the ears of a cotton tailed creature. Eir'Vidar canted his head to the side, blinking as he lookd from the ears to the pebble. Shruging it off, he quietly walked away from the pebble and towards the ears. After all he didn't want to insult the pebble for just leaving, and it didn't have eyes so clearly it wouldn't see him leave.

Eruanna crept silently forward until she felt she was close enough and then FWOOSH she darted forward. The rabbit turned and bolted and she went after it, stretching out one of her paws every other step to try and swipe its back feet and trip it up. She almost had it... and then she was the one that tripped, right over a small rock. With a squeek she went tumbling right into DarDar's legs.
She blinked once, slowly, and stared up at the male. When had he showed up? She probably ought to say something. You know... when she wasn't dizzy from involuntarily sommersaulting several times in a row and could actually stand up and stuff.

Eir'Vidar gasped, as a younger female crashed into his legs. His brows raised, as his one good eye opened wide he blinked at the female. "Eir'Vidar wonders if you are ok?" he soon questioned, flicking his usty rose tails. "What was the you doing? You should be more careful." the half nightmare gave a nod. It was rather odd that someone had crashed into him. That had never happened to him, aside from when he was playing with someone, but then crashing into each other was rather intentional.

Eruanna sat up and shook herself when she felt it was safe to do so, holding quite still for a moment afterward since it appeared she hadn't quite gotten over the dizzy part. "I was trying to catch the rabbit. But... there was a rock. Tripped me. And I went rolling. ...Eir'Vidar?" Hey... he had horns... Atae had told her about another kitsu she knew who had horns... cousin or some such. Distantly. And hers, distantly. So... "Heeeeey I don't suppose you're related to uhhh oh what was her name, Atae told me... Oh! Nessa. I heard she's got horns like those. Half Nightmare or somethin'..."

The male blinked, oh so it had been rabbit ears he had seen. That cotton tail's red liquid probably tasted good, and just the though of it made him feel like attempting a nibble on the female's tails. "Rock?" he couldn't help wonder if maybe the pebble did have eyes and and followed him and triped the female. It was possible. Very possible.
"Yes. Eir'Vidar." he pointed at himself with a nod. A slight grin peeled onto his face as Nessa's name came up. "Nessa is Eir'Vidar's sister. But her scarf cheets in pouncing games." he gave a wise nod as he sat upon his haunches. "Eir'Vidar is half nightmare too! Father is a nightmare, who has very good tasting red liquid."

Eruanna grinned when Eir'Vidar confirmed his identity, revealing her over-large fangs. With a tail wag and an excited bounce from paw to paw she exclaimed, "Heeeeey so if you're Nessa's brother then we're cousins!" Though the mention of red liquid made her tilt her head and blink slightly. "Red liquid what?"

It took a moment for the half nightmare to process what the female had just said. Cousins? Them? Really? An overly large smile curled ontp his maw as his tails wagged. "Eir'Vidar and the you are cousins?" his voice chirped, he hadn't met that many of his relatives, though he did remember his father telling him that there were a lot of them. It was about time he ran into one! "That is wonderful!" His voice trailed off as Eruanna questioned the red liquid. "Yes. Red liquid. From the feathered ones and the cotton tails. It comes from them when you bite them." the male nodded.

Eruanna wagged her tails right back. "Yup! Second or third gen cousins... it's easier to just remember cousins, all that other stuff gets confusing." She paused for a moment after his explanation of the "red liquid". Speech and movement. Then she grinned, part silly-playful, and part mean-playful. "Ooooh... blood. Yeah, blood's nice. Creeps my dadda's mom out that I like it so much though... 'S not my fault I like to bite things, is it? I mean..." she showed off her fangs again, "I got these! I should use 'em, right?"

Wow of all the people to run into, he got to run into a member of his overly large family. Cousins, yes they were cousins. Eir'Vidar gave a nod as Eruanna explained that they were second or thrid gen cousins, but simply to remember that they were cousins. Yes, he could do that. "Red liquid is very nice." he agreed, soon canting his head to the side. "Your mother and father do not like the red liquid? Eir'Vidar's mother drinks the red liquid too, but Eir'Vidar's father does not like it when he tries to eat his foot. Eir'Vidar's father eats souls, he says that Eir'Vidar has half a soul, but Eir'Vidar does not know what that means. Does the you understand what it means? Perhaps the you has half a soul too?" the male questioned with a flick of his tails. "Of course, the sharp fangs are made for biting."

Eruanna wiggled excitedly. "Huh? Oh, nah, my parents are ok with it. Dadda even lets me try to hunt stuff, he just doesn't like it when I try to bite other kitsus." She gave the general area a shifty look but returned her attention to Eir'Vidar with a confused blink when he asked about the half-soul thing. "I... dunno. I think I have a whole soul. I got a housemate that doesn't have a heart, though, does that count?"
She grinned again when he responded that fangs were made for biting. "Heeey think we can find another rabbit?"

"Ooohhh." Eir'Vidar nodded. "Eir'Vidar's father tells him the same thing. But the others of our kind have good tasting red liquid. Sometimes Eir'Vidar can not help but bite." The male canted his head to the side at the mention of no heart. "They do not have a heart? Eir'Vidar has never heard of that before. That is different." he gave his body a little shake before glancing around. "Maybe. Eir'Vidar usually hunts the winged feathers, but the cotton tail can't have gone far. And maybe there are more cotton tails."

Eruanna shrugged. "I've never tasted much by way of kitsu blood... usually just whatever's for dinner. I think I'm a little farther out on the family tree, maybe I just don't get the same sort of kick out of it?" Frown. Shrug.
Eruanna started looking around for signs of the rabbit. "I think... she's got a physical heart, but not an emotional one. She isn't able to feel things like happy or sad. Though she doesn't get embarassed or shy about anything, either. Blessing and a curse, or whatever that phrase is."
There. She spotted some fluff and stepped over to sniff at it, tails flicking at the tips like an excited cat. "I don't have much luck trying to catch feathers..."

Eir'Vidar gave a shrug as well. He wasn't too sure what exactly she ment about being farther down on the family tree, but why question it. He wasn't aware the family had their own tree and if she was further down did that mean he was high up in the tree? And if that was indeed the case, then how come he was standing on the ground? It was somewhat confusing, but not enough for him to want to ask about it just yet.
"So she has a heart, but doesn't? Eir'Vidar does not understand that, but he doesn't think that he should. She does not feel? How does she live? Would it not be boring to feel nothing? Eir'Vidar thinks it would be." he gave his tails a slight ruffle as followed behind Eruanna. "Catching the feathers takes much practice. It took Eir'Vidar a long time to learn. He prefers their red liquid now he thinks. Did the you catch the cotton tails smell?"
