So I certainly believe Riddle's idea can work throughout the entirity of the day. Simply put it's a forum invasion. Though not in the style of the 4chan/420chan/doc bot invasions, which will get people banned.
Instead it's more along the lines of people who know the rules of certain forums make threads which may or may not have to with the movie, comic, or Guy Fawkes day itself and post the link where all of us can follow it and post ON TOPIC in costume. So we're not taking over forums as much as taking over a thread.
She and I and others have been planning this for a month now, and we'd really like to see it reach full potential.
Rules:
In order for it to work, there are a few things which absolutely must be followed to protect the integrity of the event, as well as prevent warnings and bannings. (And trust me, the main discussion forum mods are super discipline happy. >_<)
- Before you create a thread or even post in a forum, take the time NOW to familiarize yourself with the rules of each forum. Generally, the rules of General Discussion and Gaia Community Discussion are the most strict and you might as well apply most of the rules to both forums.
- Unless you are in the Chatterbox, do not bump, post a simple emote reply or go off topic. Part of V's draw is the intelligence and we should maintain that we are intelligent people and do more than post lazily, which will reflect poorly on ALL of us.
- If you doubt your topic will work for a certain forum, run it by me, or a mod, or simply don't post it.
- Just because one person has already posted in a particular forum, does not mean you cannot make a thread there as well. As long as it fits the forum, go ahead and make it. The more we can reply to, the more people will see us. ;D

- No Anti-2%.... Personally I request that because you can bet you'll only end up with me and others V fans that are Pro 2% upset (I'm neutral personally, but Anti-bashing2%). Spending the 5th arguing in the forums about it will not make anyone happy. It also breaks our unity as an event to have fans argue with each other. I request that if you do make such threads... that you do not link them here. I will heavily regret ever suggesting this idea if it turns into a "Bash the Admins" Event.
-Keep the event fun. Celebrate your freedom to do this. Don't cry murder if this ends with mods blocking all our threads.

We realize that the entire point of this story is bucking the system and toppling corrupt governments but as that will get our threads moved and deleted, and most assuredly result in disciplinary actions, we'll have to suck it up and be as good as possible, else we won't have a presence as is the point of this event.
On the day of the event, post your links in this thread and I'll add them to a list in the next post.
On a side note: Some of you may or may not be familiar with the GCD (Gaia Community Discussion.) Recently, a GCD guild I was in played a little prank which is similar to what we will be doing in the forums. We all went in and created threads with very similar thread titles (why,______ why) but made each thread absolutely relevant to the forum with a proper discussion. It worked. For nearly an hour, those were the only thread titles on the front page. Some people still have screencaps in their sigs. xD
Unfortunately, the mods scoured each thread looking for any excuse to move the threads, which is why we must make absolutely certain we're posting legimate threads.
However, the success of the majority of those threads does prove that what we want to do will work - as long as you follow the forum rules.
