Gawd.. I haven't posted here in forever. I'd really like to get some feedback on this, though. I'm pretty new to doing anything more complicated than cell-shading in Photoshop. I just finished a more paint style photoshop of my favorite Pixar villain, the late Mr. Pine. Comments?
Details:
 
I rarely do backgrounds and I almost always draw the base sketches with my tablet so this thing was a whole lot of new stuff for me. The original sketch was pencil on paper. Obviously you can't tell that.. but yeah.

Overall it's all very good - I'd say the biggest problem I have with it would be his right hand. His fingers seem to fit together too well, like they are too square or something.

Yeah hands and feet aren't my strong suit at all. I think the bulky look of Incredibles digits helps hide how poorly I did. XD

I feel that this piece could benefit greatly from some color bleeding. All the blue of the background should be affecting the lighting on the character, too. I see some purplish blue backlight here and there (the guy's fists for example) but you could definitely use more of it.
The lighting on the trees don't match the lighting on the figure D:
My favorite part of this picture is the white part of his outfit. <3

I think the character is great, very true to the film.
I am confused about the forest, he seems to have flow pretty high based on the smoke trail but the forest detail doesn't get smaller towards the sea so it looks neither close and far
Maybe look at an areal photo of forest to get a better idea, other wise the sea is great and sky is fine <3
was this a direct painting in photoshop or a sketch scanned and painted?
