Holy s**t, that's a huge a** list. eek Of stuff not airing this season, I'll probably watch the first two Da Capo seasons to watch the upcoming one this season.

But still, holy s**t. This season looks really good, with stuff ranging from an anime based off an Arakawa Hiromu manga, a Key eroge anime, a SHAFT anime, and an anime using the three VAs for Haruhi as the main cast.

I'm going to be too busy this season, but odds are half the stuff I want to watch won't be subbed. crying

Never seen such a big watch list since I saw my friend's watched list! eek

Problem is, I ain't much into watching stuff that's still being aired, because looking for the torrents is a big ******** mess of loose chapters, missing subs, keeping my eyes open so I won't accidentally download a raw I'll never understand, and so and so on. I prefer keeping it safe and downloading stuff that's already been compiled in a single huge torrent.

Dragonaut is going to be your best bet to Haruhi prior to season 2. Not because of storyline, however. The hero is played by Ono Daisuke, and the heroine is played by Chihara Minori. Three other side characters include the voice talents of Tomokazu Sugita, Goto Yuko, and Hirano Aya.

Wtf?

Wtf, indeed.

I guess I'll just comment on the stuff I've watched so far, striking what I've already seen the first episode of.

Kaiji is actually quite an awesome series. If you get past the fact that the outline of the characters are a bit awkward and Kaiji's nose is quite large, then you can enjoy the series. It's similar to Akagi, but seems to be more focused on gambling and card games.

BLUE DROP is going to be one of the strangest series this season. It seemed to start off quite boring and the series gives quite a dark aura, but it has potential. It really got interesting when Mari got choked, and how the females reacted to everything. I wonder how they'll implement both yuri and sci-fi into this series.

Myself;Yourself is really quite a generic harem/romance series, but it has a lot going for it. Using the generic coming back after a while background, it still has potential. The protagonist isn't necessarily likable, but you don't really mind him. I liked how they ended the first episode at a good point.

Dragonaut has too much potential this season, if anything. It appears to be a simple sci-fi series with big name VAs, but I'll expect more than that. If it really hits off, I can see it being the next Code Geass/Gurren Lagann. Well, the only flaw is that this isn't mecha, so it'll be interesting at least.

Clannad happens to be the best thing this season in my opinion. But then again, I'm a sucker for Key Visual Novel based anime. The protagonist is likable in a sense, and Nagisa's dad is awesome. I really would like to see how they'll implement the story, since it's obvious that it will go down the Nagisa path, but I'll assume that Tomoya will help out every other female along the way.

I'm anticipating quite a lot from Jyuushin Enbu, as it'll be an FMA successor, along with Shion no Ou, as it's similar to Hikaru no Go except it's shogi.

I just skimmed their sites of this stuff...

Kaiji: Art style looks familiar and there looks like a clown in the BG. D:
BLUE DROP ~Tenshitachi no Gikyoku~: blah?
Myself;Yourself: School anime?
Dragonaut: I agree with you on the potential. The art is likable (reminds me of Eureka 7/DNAngel kind of?) and it seems like an interesting watch...
CLANNAD: D: Another school anime?

Ninomiya-kun isn't actually as bad as most people say it is. Sure, it's definitely going to be a generic harem anime, but I need some good generic harem anime after Nagasarete Airantou. I don't have much large expectations for this, but it'll be one of those things I'll watch for fun.

Shakugan no Shana II actually has quite a bit of potential. The first episode was pretty much season one in 30 minutes, but it doesn't seem to have lost its luster. Because of this second season, I might actually like SnS more than ZnT, since ZnT was good only for Colbert. Colbert was too awesome.

Anyways, I really see Myself;Yourself as the unexpected hit this season, kinda like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei in the last season and sola in the one before that. Kaiji happens to be my favorite at the moment concerning none romance, but it's only a matter of time until Dragonaut gets good if ever.

Bamboo Blade seems to be my staple sports anime this season I suppose. I always have to watch sports anime for some reason, no matter what sport it is. Anyways, kendo seems quite interesting, and I guess it will turn out good in my opinion, despite any sort of hate people take toward it. I guess I'm just strange like that.

Mokke was more toward the creepy sense. It seemed to be one of them supernatural anime, with strange ghosts and demons and everything. The strange shadow freaked me out though. It was all black and fuzzy and not in the cute way, but in that shadow-y way like that one boss from Kirby 64. Chills, man. CHILLS.

Kimikiss pure rogue seems to be the typical romance that will end up being a harem type of thing. I don't expect it to be much considering I've been so wowed by Myself; Yourself and Clannad. I don't expect it to be as touching as the two, but I'll probably expect this to be stronger in the comedy edge.

Neuro was a bit on the boring side the first time I watched it (half asleep)... So I gave it a second chance and watched it again. Wow, it was pretty awesome. The OP was good, and the story isn't actually too bad. If they plan on advancing the plot and elaborate more on the concept of eating mysteries, this actually has potential to be a good shounen, that simply isn't a crappy Conan.

ef, if anything, was completely unique. The artwork was pretty decent and it wasn't an eyesore or anything to watch. It's pretty hard to follow, since I can see them intertwining the two separate storylines as they are related somewhat. I still can't really tell what's happening at any time, but I'll give it more chances as it has potential to make sense.

Sketchbook was actually pretty good. It's similar to Hidamari Sketch, but really less focused on the comedy aspect and more on the art aspect. It's a peaceful slice of life anime and it doesn't fail at its job. This is one of those things you just watch and relax.

Labyrinth, I have barely any memory of sadly. It wasn't memorable nor did it stick out. I guess it might take another episode before I can get devoted to it.

Minami-ke was pretty good. It's slice of life, but more comedy centralized unlike Sketchbook. The comedy reminds me somewhat of Azumanga Daioh and other school slice of life other than Lucky Star, but the characters really aren't that diverse. The oldest and youngest sister are too similar, while the middle is completely different. And I learned it is okay to kick the soccer star's leg if he's trying to add you to his harem.

Jyuushin Enbu wasn't too bad, and it isn't way too similar to FMA either. The story is just starting and it seems pretty interesting, albeit the current villain has a striking resemblance to Bradley. Anyways, the Beat Crusaders OP is only a plus. I can see the series doing good, as long as it doesn't screw up bad.

Kodomo no Jikan is entertaining, but they really need to focus more on the story. A good amount of the anime material is taken directly from the manga, and they just censor it. It's not the amusing censoring, but the more annoying kind. If they try to make it a fanservice anime and they censor it, what exactly is that? Anyways, they should focus more on story.

Shion no Ou was freakin' amazing. It had the amateur player trying to be good aspect of HnG, yet didn't involve any spirits of any sort. Rather than playing through force, Shion is playing to try to solve the mystery of the murder of her parents, but that doesn't seem to be the largest aspect. She also has a rival, who is a trap. The trap is a good female player, but doesn't do well in the male tournaments, so he decides to be a trap to win tournaments to pay for his mother's surgery. So both Hikaru and Shion have non-manly rivals who are still males. neutral

Prism Ark is quite confusing, but it has some potential in terms of being a fantasy anime. The fact that they switch between the past and the present, explaining the life of the protagonist's parent's childhood and the current situation, kills any sort of understanding. The fact that they didn't animate the first game kind of ruins the storyline for those new to the anime, and it would've been more helpful to release an entire episode that can be the recap of the first game instead of throwing bits and pieces everywhere.

Negima drama is being dropped, since it pretty much has no potential from the screencaps. Ghost Hound is the only series I want to watch now not subbed.
