From here on out, Seira will not be doing anything to conceal spoilers from season 3, episode 1. If you haven't seen it and don't want it spoiled, don't read this s**t. That's the agreement.
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. (Insert fangirlish squee.) The regular opening just got me even more pumped for the episode. After the obnoxious preview, first bit is of Aang, being angsty. (His name works too perfectly for that.) Ooh. Look, his hands! A fire nation flag! Aang blows a puff of air at some Fire Nation guards for apparently no reason. Joins up with the Gaang, and passes out from the excitement. s**t. Zuko looking hot with amazing hair, then some Maiko action. (Saddening Seira immensely.)
Some boring explanations of s**t no one cares about. Angst about hair. Katara bitches out her father and asks for some privacy. Then they have a "healing session." (Seira remarks that, taken without the visual, this scene would be wholly and completely wrong. Seriously, go back and watch this part with your eyes closed. Try not to laugh too hard.)
Some annoying summary of some boring s**t. Azula looks like normal, and Zuko looks a lot like he did when he was 6. (Way to mature, Zuko.)
Another annoying summary, but with the addition of Seira's new favorite character, the Earth King, who looks like a pirate, and rides into the sunset on his bear. Some more of Katara bitching out her father.
Enter commercial break. A nice break from the insane amounts of ongoing angst. However, Seira has been scarred for life with their morph of "Lil' JJ" and Zuko.
Aang is sad that he's dead. Who would have thought?
Oooh. Batoh and Katara's Dad get schooled by 'Da Commander (As he shall so be named. Seira's too lazy to rewind to see his actual name.)
Enter fight scene #1. Toph kicks a**, Katara kicks a**, and everyone else pales by comparison. Zuko feeds some turtle-ducks. Nostalgia much? Then, enter Azula to generally cause trouble. Turns out, Zuko knows that Aang's not dead. Apparently, Mai is in a good mood, however (Gasp!).
Comic relief from Sokka. (Hurrah! Angst fest is slightly interrupted!)
Aang throws a hissy fit. Katara tries to console him, and fails.
Hey look! Aang being compared to Zuko! (Aanko fans rejoice!)
After a frighteningly easy question about footprints, we return to see Aang flying away from the ship in a fit of... angst. (I don't know any other word that describes this episode quite like that one.)
Some more of Katara bitching at her father, then some crying and general unhappiness. Oh, and throw in comment from Katara's father that Seira interpreted as hysterical innuendo.
Ozai is pretty. Zuko is suspicious.
Aang is an emo surfer. Whoops. Dropped your fan!
Azula looks like a whore. More general angst. Zuko sounds like an idiot. Azula doesn't look like herself. O.o
Aang is emo. Roku is emo. Yue is not emo.
And they reunite again. Some symbolistic glider burning, and the episode ends.
-----
Even though I'm making fun of it, I really did like this episode, however (for lack of a better word) angsty it is. The shipping made me sad, though.
I shall forever be a Zutara shipper, no matter what happens.
Wow. I really shouldn't type and watch at the same time, ne? Forgive me for this incoherent bit of babble.

XD Your review is so funny! "Enter commercial break. A nice break from the insane amounts of ongoing angst. However, Seira has been scarred for life with their morph of "Lil' JJ" and Zuko." I felt the same way.
I'm a big Zutara fan, but if they end up with other people, I wouldn't mind. I just hope that they do it tastefully.

Hah, nice summary. I kept a notepad on my lap and wrote like mad for the entire commercial break. It's funny to read through it. xD
I screamed so loudly at the normal opening. I was like, "AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" And then I clutched onto my penguin plushie for DEAR LIFE.
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the episode. See, I basically judge episodes on four pillars: humour, plot, shipping, and character. The humour was lacking in this episode. There was a total of 3 or 4 moments that made me laugh. The plot... I dunno, I GUESS it was alright. There wasn't anything in particular that made me gasp loudly and dramatically. Well, except for Ozai's face being shown, but that was rather anticlimactic. I was like, "....That's IT?!" The shipping was veeeery satisfactory. Maiko was THERE, not hinted at, actually THERE, and Tokka wasn't particularly discouraged, especially with the heavy Kataang. (Though, I kind of got a feeling that Toph was being friendlier than usual with Aang...) Character was great. There was lots of character insight and development and all that fun stuff.
So, I dunno. I'd rate it about 8/10. Not awesome, but still pretty good. But then, of course, it was amazingly awesome to watch just because it was NEW and I didn't know what was going to happen.
Can't wait 'til next week. ^^

They really shouldn't morph anyone with Zuko. Or just don't morph anyone unless they turn into Power Rangers or something.
I liked the episode, it had a really dark tone that I'm not really loving for Avatar but whatever.
Next week: Blah blah blah blah blah... rofl

You guys got a preview?! D< Damn spoiled Americans. I know the summary, The Gaang goes to a school to try and 'fit in' the Fire Nation... Did it have anything on Zuzu n' Crew? (I'm officially calling it that now. I mean, it rhymes! xD)

I know. Even the art was dark and gloomy.
Next week's should be good, though.

Loving the review, describes the episode perfectly. Totally... angsty. Though Azula did not look like a whore. I liked her better that way. She doesnt look to good with her (or any other female character save katara only) hair up and tight like that.

Why, thank you. biggrin
I didn't mean her hair looked whorish, I was just referring to how low her robe-jammies went. Her hair looked a lot better than it normally does.

I'm thinking he will hurt Iroh... emotionally, I mean. Not intentionally, of course, but... I mean, he's already done enough to hurt him. I think he's just going to accidentally pour salt in his wounds. So, uh. I recommend getting something to punch, strangle, stab, and/or beat for next week. You know, a plushie or something.

Scenes like that make hentai, my dear. If not for animes showing things like that we wouldnt have the single weirdest porn on the face of the earth.

Hah.
I think you'd have weird, geeky porn whether or not animated princesses wore low cut robes in children's shows.
Apostrophes and commas are nice.
