Dir en grey will be opening for Linkin Park as the guest band for two shows: November 23 and 24 at Saitama Super Arena. This will be the first time that either band has played this stage, and Dir en grey are only opening for these two nights.

[ Dark san ] I was kind of pissed off when I heard about that.
Dir en grey can do better. Really. They don't need Linkin to get a gig. Linkin Park should be opening Dir en grey's show evil I've got nothing against Linkin Park, but they're old and Diru is new, so when the two come together and Diru is working for Linkin, I get a little ticked stressed

Well actually Dir en grey are only one year older than Linkin Park.
Plus, pretty much everyone knows that Diru are fans of Linkin Park so they probably see it as fantastic.
Not to mention, however you look at it, Dir en grey are NOT as famous/successful/however you want to put it as Linkin Park.
So I think it's good for them, it's not as if it's going to do anything amazing for their career because it's two shows, in Japan... I think it's just great because they get to play with a band they admire.

I'm afraid they won't with the way some american people act at there shows confused xd but if we send Die a lot of requesting fanmail (since he's the best with english, I heard cool )) Then maybe he can 'recommend' it to Kaoru and they'll come back!! *cheers*

They probably won't if we make a lot of their fans fanmail them biggrin Not spam, but fanmail like crazy. In that time frame I should be able to hide me and a couple others on the bus... twisted it's the perfect plan!

Hm...Dir en grey seems to be taking the underdog approach to things these days. Playing with other bands, opening for other bands...playing on smaller stages sometimes...it must be a humbling experience. That's good, I guess, because really if you don't every now and then you get big headed and just nasty to be around.
Too bad I miss them by one month or so...anyone know if they're playing any gigs in Tokyo around Christmas??
