This is the official thread in the guild for discussing Norse Mythology. If you didn't gather that from the effin' title. I'm not saying you can't make another thread about them, it'd just be sort of retarded to. A discussion pertaining to the mythology is pretty much a no brainer and a requirement because it belongs here. It's a part of what makes Scandinavian Metal so amazing and appealing. I believe I've said this before numerous times.
This is where we shall discuss how much more awesome Norse Mythology is compared to other Mythologies. Honestly, the Norse Gods and Goddesses are way more awesome and metal than Greek and Roman ones.
Don't disagree, I'll just edit your posts to where you do agree. Kekekekeke.
So, let's discuss the awesomeness of the Gods, Goddesses, Norns, Valkyries....etc..

Archeology is cool though, you'd get to dig s**t up and make discoveries.

Yeah i did it for A level and i love it heart I'll probably end up doing the medieval period i think, so Vikings will hopefully be covered.

That would be awesome if you could excavate battle sites and what not and dig some awesome s**t up.
I know a lot of people have already gone over a good many of the battle fields, but they couldn't have found everything.

I'd love to do that, one of my questions on my exam was about warfare and i got really good marks for it, because i'm really interested in it. When people excavate battle sites they usually excavate only a portion of it, so there might be lots of areas left that haven't been fully excavated biggrin

They have a mythology course at the high school I'm student teaching at.
I'm not sure what it covers, but yeah.
My favorite English professor at my University is Scandinavian, and she's into all kinds of Mythologies and specializes in Old/Middle English and British snuff.
I'd like to learn more about it.

You should sit down and chat with her about it when you both have free time. I did that with my history teacher in high school. I'd skip lunch and pop in his room with some other people and we'd talk about mythologies and castles and battles and such. He was cool, weird... but cool.

You totally should, the teachers I had back in school were all awesome. They used to tell some of the coolest stories.
And yeah, he lives right down the road from me. I bought my first horse off him, lulz.
Suck that s**t hard and don't stop until you can taste the metal.
