(Had to shorten the title a bit in the end there, sorry!)
Has anyone read the Belgariad series by David Eddings? I really think this series fits in with the themes in this guild because of one of the characters: Polgara (who has her own book -- a prequel to the series). She is like a goddess herself... she's a very strong female character, and one of the people that the other characters go to for help (which makes sense since she's about 3000 years old).
Another character, Ce'Nedra, is also "goddess-like" because she is the fairy-tale princess of the story, but she also has a very developed character, and is not all that she appears when the reader first encounters her in the series.
I recommend these books for all the goddesses in this guild -- I'm sure you'll find them as enjoyable as I have.

I own every book ever writen by Eddings. I don't recomend the God series, and stay away from the Redemption of Athelis, but I do love the Belgariad and Malorean, oh and the Tamuli and Elenium series are good too.
