 The suns rays shining down upon the land, a gentle breeze whispering across the field. This was what people would call a beautiful day. Not so for Quezacotl. Not that he dislike this weather in particular, it was indeed soothing. However, not so much as enjoyable as a good lightning storm, where the winds howl and the first thunder clap sends that cold chill down your spine.
With a slight motion of his body, he rolled onto his side and continued to bask in the suns rays, abandoning his current thoughts of the weather. Leviathan wasn’t with him today.. No, his aquatic friend wasn’t keen on visiting an area with very little bodies of water. Instead, he decided to hang around in the lake today. Unlike the usual where he hung around his feathered friend.
Not a big loss, Levi could be quite annoying at times, especially when he begins to chastise him for every little problem he causes.
Today he’d just relax, instead of trying to pull worthless pranks on his adopted siblings, like Kumo. She was always fun to tick off, but difficult to deal with in the aftermath.
With a small yawn, he stretched, got up and walked over to shaded area under a large pine tree and plopped himself down to take a nap. Maybe by taking some time away from them, he’d be able to meet some other kitsu’s? It was always a possibility and in place like this, it was likely to happen.

 Soaring through the air was one scaled angelic Kitsusagi. Colors of the sunset painted on her fur, along with a stormy grey. An intricated sun design on her belly and a necklace about her neck... while a pair of angelic mini wings were perched atop her head.
Noelani gleefully sailed along the air currents that carried her along. Enjoying the lovely day thoroughly, she absolutely had to go out for a flight. She laughed merrily while barrel rolling and twisting through the air, eventually flying upside down.
Something did catch her attention though, a curious looking kitsu under a tree... and with a halo! It was an angelic like her! Oh she must meet him! "HELLLOOOO!" she called down at him, waving a paw and not really watching where she was going as she neared the trees. The femme kitsu inadvertantly plunging into the branches with a yelp. Tumbling down through them and eventually landing on the ground with a flop. "Oooh... that one hurt" she winced, before getting to her paws, "But Noelani is okay!"

 Quezacotl was about to slip off into a daze, when the sudden word ‘hello’ jerked him to awareness.
A brightly coloured female was dancing through the skies, quite energetically he observed, and was now calling out to him. With a slightly groggy effort, he rose to his feet and looked skyward, trying to spot the angelic female, but to his surprise she was gone!
Am I losing my mind or something..? Hallucination maybe? Just as he was about to agree with his conclusion, a loud snap and rustling of leaves caused him to look up, only to see a haze of colour collide with the tree branches and come plummeting down to the ground.
"GOOD LORD!!" He gasped and jumped to avoid the furry mass. "Are you alright!!?" He questioned, even though she had clearly stated that, all was fine.
His heart was pounding, and he was wide awake now, no more sleep for him for right now! But he got what he wished for, though not quite how he’d expected it, he met a new kitsusagi, and an angelic no less.

Noelani giggled at the other's rather horrified surprise, while using her paws to dust herself off before shaking herself to rid her colorful fur of twigs and leaves. "Noelani told you she's okay!" She then looked a little sheepish, "Noelani does it a lot... not very good at landing, no." But that was okay!
Bounding forward, and doing a little circle around the green and yellow angelic fellow, she seemed curious. "Who is you?" she asked, tails wagging behind her in an excited and friendly fashion. She did another circle around him, looking at the other Kitsusagi at every angel. "Noelani doesn't get to meet other angels very much, nope! You is very handsome too... all green like the grass and yellow like... like... flowers! Noelani likes flowers very much!"
She was rather an energetic and even hyper sort wasn't she? But she was atleast very friendly, and certainly meant well.

"I'm Quezacotl." He finally said, as she began to walk around him, presumably to look at his colours and patterns on his pelt?
"Me either." He said with a flick of his ears as he sat up a bit more. The last bit of sleep being pushed away. "Though there is one other winged kitsusagi in my family, I'm the only one of the angelic breed." He blushed a little at the compliment, though his brows kitted in a glare at the flower part. "I-I do not look like a flower!" He pouted somewhat, which was probably a humorous sight for anyone else.
"It's more like a storm, see? Like lightning?" He said with an encouraging smile. He didn't know how he'd be able to persuade this one. Even Leviathan probably wouldn't support him on this claim.

Noelani giggled at his protest of looking like a flower. "Nothing wrong with looking like flower!" she said back, eventually plopping down in a sit near him. Blink. Lightning? She looked a little skeptical, before shaking her head. "But lightning is scary, and Noelani don't think you look scary. You is very nice!" She nodded her head in conclusion to what she just said. "Noelani likes flowers much better." To her, saying he looked like a flower was a compliment. Even if he was a boy, and might not appreciate it as much as he obviously did not.
She then tilted her head, "You have big family? Noelani doesn't have any." And her ears fell back on her head, "Noelani wish she did." Scaley tails tapped the ground softly as she seemed to think.

"Lightning isn't scary!" He retorted.
Ugh, this isn't going well. He refused to agree that he looked like a flower!
And how was lightning scary? He would never understand that, being able to govern lightning like he could.
Onto family discussion he guessed, well at least they could stop disagreeing with each other about his pattern at least.
"Umm.. No not exactly. None of them are blood relatives. More like adoptive siblings, or close friends." He said with a shrug, though, he didn't really know much about some of them.
"Surely you have some adopted siblings? Or close friends, yes?" He finally said, adding a gentle smile, hopping that he hadn't hurt her feelings from his bad replies about his markings.

Noelani pouted... she thought lightning was scary. But as he started talking about family, her ADD mind forgot about all that and focused on what they were talking about now.
She shook her head, rubbing one paw against another, "No no... Noelani like to help others, but they always leave." She'd met many other kitsu, but nobody ever stuck around long enough to really become her friend or adoptive family. She couldn't say she wouldn't like such a thing... cause she would. It just hadn't worked out yet.

Quezacotl shut his mouth for a few seconds. Afraid that he'd upset her further, which was quite odd for him, he was never really worried about the feelings of others, but this time was different.
"Ah-oh-umm.. Sorry.. I never meant to upset you." He said with a weak smile. After a few moments of silence on his behalf he perked his ears up and fluttered his wings. "I'll be your friend! A permanent friend!" He said with a new found energy, hoping this offer would give Noelani some comfort, she seemed lonely, despite her friendly and happy personality.
