Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I didn't see it on the front page.
All of a sudden with my main ACWW character, I get the birthday glitch. When it's an animals birthday, if I give that animal a gift, it freezes, you have to "reset" and then deal with Resetti. It really makes me mad, because it's never happened before, but suddenly with 2 different birthdays I've experienced it. I've looked around online and as far as I can tell, the only solution is to not give that animal a present. I can always use a secondary character to give a gift, but I don't use my secondary characters very often. It's just annoying I guess.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone find a better solution than "don't do it?"

From what I've read about it, it's not a common glitch. It's just really annoying, since Kiwi (my main character) was able to give gifts before, but all of a sudden can not. I think I remember reading that it has something to do with the code in the game cartridge, which of course, I can't do anything about, but I didn't know if anyone had any other ideas since it wasn't always this way for me.
Thanks anyway! 3nodding

~ ~ ~ Well, I do have a villager's birthday coming up fairly soon, so I guess I'll save before I give 'em a gift. Eh.. ~ ~ ~

I haven't had a problem so far with the birthdays I've given gifts to... [moe >_>] Who did you give your present to?

One gift that glitched was Bud and....I can't remember who the other one was. I think it was a duck though! 3nodding
What I do now is when there is a birthday, I go straight there first, so if it freezes, I didn't do anything major and I know not to give a gift when I start over.
I'm really glad that not many are experiencing it though!

My game was glitched, too. For some reason, in the second floor of Nook's shop, one of the racoons (Timmy) stands still and does not follow my character around. This is annoying because while he's stuck there, you can't go back downstairs or examine the furniture for sale. The only way to fix it was to physically walk into him a little bit and that little nudge was enough to wake him up, I guess, and after that he follows you like normal.
It's weird. confused

I get this, but only if when I come upstairs I walk immediately towards the carpet/wallpaper. If I walk right into the 2 raccons straight ahead or towards the other wall (towards nothing) he'll move. I agree, it is a bit annoying.
