ยท:I've just spent 3 hours listening to various German radio stations to find some good German music. Unfortunately they only want to listen to English music and it's really depressing.

Haha, I hate when that happens! I'm part of a penpalling site (Interpals), and I look at foreign people's Favorite Music section under their profile, expecting to find some really cool foreign bands to try out...Only to find that they like Gwen Stefani and Blink 182 and stuff. XD

I know the feeling. I listen to a radio station in German that's more news and talk rather than music. I got some German-singing band names from natives. I'm more of an individual song person too. There's only one band I can say that I like that consists more more than 2 people.

Yeah, I know! I went to a German dance place, and all they played was American pop music! I was so dissappointed!

Yes, there is so much English in Germany that the Wise Guys (Mark the name) made a song called "Denglish". It' about those many English words in Germany. I guess you could understand most of the song even if you didn't speak German... wink

Can someone help me find some good rock bands that sing in Swedish????

Kent is okay, but I can't force myself to listen to them enough. stressed Isn't there a law in France restricting foreign langauge broadcast time? neutral Like 2/3 of the airtime has to be in French or something?

Awwh, that's really sad. I hate that. If I ask my friends from other countries to recommend me some bands they know, they only tell me about English language bands. Even when I tell them I'm interesting in hearing their languages - it seems they aren't |:

I quit listening to the radio BECAUSE they play German music. I think in 2008 politicians passed a law that 50% of all music played on German radio stations should be German or at least from a German band. Quality was low before then and the new law just isn't helping rolleyes
