Just my personal opinion, but banning any card is extremely retarded... limiting cards, sure, but banning them is too much. If YOU can't be the dang card, it doesn't mean someone else can't... I hate that this game is geared so much towards 8-9 year old cry babies... especially when the original manga shows it is clearly NOT supposed to be for that age group.

You obviously haven't had any experience playing competitively on a large scale. Cards are banned because they too overpowered, and take the fun right out of the game. Cards like Raigeki, Yata Garasu and Chaos Emperor Dragon are far too overpowered to be used, especially since cards like that completely destroy unique, interesting decks, resulting in little to no originality in the game.

For people like you, who still complain about bans regardless of how much they make the game better, the Traditional Format was created, in which no cards are banned. Traditional Format, however, is not used in tournaments.

I have played on a large-scale... been to Internationals thank you! evil I have beaten Yata-Garasu decks, countered raigeki and Harpie's feather duster... and Chaos emperor is easy to beat too! Like I said, you need to think! use cards like Magic Jammer and Seven Tools and Ring of Destruction... people always try to duel so that they come out having lost no life points... take the damage and win.
It's not hard to beat these decks... and it adds a whole new twist to the game... it just takes a vast amount of knowledge of cards to know what can work against what...

Meh, if you can't see why cards like that are banned, then you obviously lack experience in competitive play.

well it does suck that they ban cards because of there power, even after taking so long to get these cards, now we can't use them, lol i got the black lust soldier- envoy of the begining right after they banned it

If you want to play banned cards, there's always Traditional Format, which was a smart move by UDE, since it keep casual players and collectors playing the game.

If you've got some extra copies of banned cards laying around, why not sell some and make yourself a pretty penny (since over 3/4 of banned cards come in Secret/Ultra Rare), which can then be used to buy cards you can actually use?

yeah I think I will try that, and i don't like useing the traditional format because for me its had to keep to the ban list because i go to tournaments

Well I kinda like the banned list because it helps narrow down the cards in my deck and to prevent major misuse of cards. Ever played someone with 3 Reigekis in their deck?
