Welcome to the only Elder Scrolls library you will find on this site. I am the current Lore Master, here to expand any knowledge of Mundus, Oblivion, and Aetherius. The Void is something I will not answer any questions on, as all who serve under Sithis should understand already who our Dread Father is. If not, be glad the tenants refrain me from killing you. But should you have any questions on the history, lands, or races and beasts alike, I will try my best to answer.

Personally I view Sithis as an abstract entity, and The void being a place beyond our comprehension, rather than just seeing Sithis as a snake god.

A small tid bit of information as a little gift for those who cannot obtain the Shivering Isles. This will not spoil the story, so worry not. The Isles themselves were designed as a prison, being truely fabricated by other Daedra, as Lord Sheogorath WAS one of the strongest and most feared Daedra and was not always as insane as he looked. When I can get some free time, I will do a little history lesson.

Legendary_Reploid_Zero ...When I can get some free time, I will do a little history lesson. wow, i have never once, before now, been eager for a history lesson. I can't play the game becasue of my paretns, but I really want to...well, anyway, i know about the Noghtmother. Please don;t kill me for askign this...but, people pray to her, asking her to kill people, and she passes it on to the listener, right? well, is there anything else she ever tells the listener, beside killing contracts and death wishes and such?

In a nutshell, we revel in killing others for money, we kill them and send their souls to our Dread Father Sithis, who resides in a place known only as The Void. We are actually quite a loving group amongst ourselves, we just don't value human life very much.

Your definition, while good, is not entirely accurate. We of the Dark Brotherhood are the very servants of Sithis, enticed to do his will which is spoken by the Night Mother. We do not "kill" for money. We tend to...."ferry" souls to our Dread Father. Rewards may be great, but the very thought of being able to gain power and gifts from our Mother and Father. The part of ruthlessly ending someones life in a creative way is....just a perk. But we are a family, a family that watches after one another.

And, why does Sithis want the spirits? I mean, he is "the void" and such...but is there any true reason?? Also, when a brother/sister kills soemone, their soul goes to the void, right? I also heard (not sure if it's true) that when brother/sisters die, they too go to the void. So, in essence, wouldn;t killing people to send them to Sithis be a blessing?? or would dying be pian and sufferign for the dark brethren in death?? To add to that, they say daedra are from the void (which is sithis correct?) so if brothers, sisters, and victims ALL go to the void, does that mean the daedra are just their reincarnated spirits or something? Sorry if it's really wrong, but I've picked up bits and pieces here and there...
