The place:
Neko City,
no one has ever left Neko City, nor do they seem to care. The few who do never return, so its location in the world is unknown.
It resembles a modern Japanese town, electricity but paper walls, there are cars but they are electric. It set in a beautiful mountain valley with a lake.
There are catgirls and boys in the city, and all television and media make us think the world is full of catgirls (and kitsune girls, wolf girls etc) there appears to be no pure humans only hybrids
People can either play a resident or a new arrival.
But heres the trick for new arrivals, you can't remember how you got there and the longer you are there the more like the other catgirls you become in personality.
The locals think this is just you settling into the new city, but is there more to it?

New arrivals only have vague fragmented memories of their past self and are 60% sure they were always who they are now.
New arrivals may also have some unique ability, but not always. Any powers must be countered by a flaw.

Personalityzane is a kind person and always seems to be in a good mood, he also has tons of curiosity that some times puts him in akward situations due to the fact he is very agile and flexible as well as fast which can allow him to get to almost unreachable places, his claws that he can seem to manifest from his own nails also help in those situations, he also always tries to help someone in need even if he has to put himself in danger
Bio: zane has hardly any memories of how he wound up in the village but he dosent really care anylonger he has grown happy in this place he now calls home all he makes sure he remembers is to get to work when they need him but seeing as how he runs his own market he dosnt show up often unless he is called. that aside he often wonders if he could use his heightened reflexes and agility for anything other than protecting himself

Expanded World Details
The secret of Neko-ville. Nestled in a magical pocket of reality Neko-Ville is a living dream. However The numbers of new nekos born into this magical word have been declining. And so the great god of the land sought out others to bolster the numbers. Either people with a strong fantasy and recreating them in that image or people who were getting to close to uncovering the secret and endangering the sanctity and purity of the realm (such as Nala).
Later on if artifacts of their old life try to break through (such as Bast retrieving her champion Nala, or a powerful dreamer forcing his way in to say save another's character) The Mayor Neko will "promote" them to Magical Cat Girl protector. This grants them some magical powers and a "familiar" who usurps the body of the intruder (who always appear as talking cute fantasy animals only the intended person can hear talking) with the familiar "instructing" and reinforcing the new Magics to make them fit in better.
Will our heroes be able to fight against their draining willpower and escape or become true Magical Cat Girls in some fantasy adventure when they leave Neko-Ville?

Velden wandered down the road, his cat ears twitching at every noise the night made. This place... It seems to be my home but... something doesn't feel right... he said half-heartedly. Well, that doesn't matter right now, first I need to find to find some shelter for the night. he continued his way down the street.

"You, get lost on the way to Neko City? We have some room, need a lift?"

NekoNala A bus rumbled past slowing to a stop as it passed Vel. After a moment a Bunny girl emerged from the door. "You, get lost on the way to Neko City? We have some room, need a lift?" Velden seemed transfixed by these words and, without knowing it, ended up on the bus to the strange sounding place. He stared out of the window and his eyes widened as he saw a formation in the horizon. A small voice in his head said, Not there, anywhere but there. but in his current state Velden did not hear the voice. He just stared out the window, gawking at the city in the distance.

The city rolled into view slowly as they continued on. It seemed that the bust was virtually empty

The bus arrived at it's stop and Velden quickly got out. Flashes of buildings ran through his head as he looked around. Where have I seen this before... he thought as he started to aimlessly wander down the road, taking in the sights.

Nya walked along beside Vel silently, trying not to be a bother. Her head was still swimming and it was hard to consentrate. She hoped Vel didn't mind but she felt safer knowing she wasn'ting wandering alone in her state.
