Noemi was nervously playing with her hands outside the house. Chelsea was getting married. MARRIED. Married.
MARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIED.
She was really happy for her friend but also sad. What did marriage mean? On their Island? She took a deep breath, expelling all the negative thoughts and smiled at the greeter which...was a halloween creature.
Chelsea's weapon? But he was far too green, she thought.
"H-H-Hello!" She looked at Owain and then around, "Do...Wh...Is this the wedding?"

Chris obediently swiveled on his stool so he was facing away, but he bitched as he did so. "Man ******** you, I'm like a year older than you. You're old too."
He kicked his feet out, balancing precariously on the stool and hummed. "Anyone got something blue? Might as well go all the way since we're already here."

"No, it's a god damn carnival," Jack deadpanned. "What do you think?" Christ, next thing he knew, Finn would bring Oliver over or some s**t.
Owain knelt so it would be easier to talk without tilting his head down so far. "Do not heed him, little one," the golem said as he took her hand gently, almost like a prince. "The excessive amount of irritation is a byproduct of being amongst too many on such a momentous occassion. This is indeed the wedding. Welcome, welcome!" He smiled broadly. "I am Owain, his weapon, here to stand as witness to such a happy union."----- Earlier in the dayDarkHeartedSorrow Text to Steve Rogers: dude its a joke ofc i got actual clothes omg Quote: Text to Steve Rogers: i find ur lack of faith disturbing

EntranceAs if on cue, another youthful, timid face appeared in the doorway. Oliver cleaned up nicely, to the point he almost looked like someone else entirely. His pale eyes were nervous, but he filled out the black suit he wore unexpectedly well, and had somehow fixed his perpetual unruly bedhead. No doubt someone else had been involved in performing that particular miracle. The courage that had brought him into the building almost faltered when he saw the golem, but Finn had asked him to come, and he didn't dare let his friend down by running away now. Oliver approached Jack, Noemi, and the large creature. "Ah, c-congratulations," he offered, suddenly feeling a little empty-handed with his lack of coffee. Did people even bring coffee to weddings? medigel Oh my gosh please be gentle with poor Oliver, his timing is THE WORST as usual.

Noemi made direct line of sight to the floor at Jacks comments, and twiddle fingers at the idea of already upsetting the Groom, of all the people.
Owain though was friendly and cheerful and she couldn't help but look up and and give him a shy smile. "I'm Noemi!" She nodded her head a little, "You are doing a good job! Welcoming, and-...and stuff." Her gaze tipped over to Oliver and she relaxed a bit more, with her close friend nearby, it didn't seem too bad.
"Hi Oliver!"

Not too far behind the small Mist - and incidentally apparently Oliver - was Milo. Naturally. And dressed in his finest, least loud and obnoxious, Hawaiian shirt and nice pants. It would have made sense for them to have come together, especially with what everyone else thought of the pair but it hadn't happened this time; like so many other times though, he did seem to have perfect timing to be just that far off.
"Noemi-chan!" Of course he would notice her first; there was a gigantic tree for Pete's sake. The redhead would find herself engulfed in one of his usual hugs, though a bit different as he had precious cargo in one hand. "I thought I saw you wandering off in such a nice outfit." The Sun grinned from ear to ear before he turned his attention to the groom-to-be.
"Dude, Bean Stalk, gettin' married. Ko'omaika'i 'ana, bruh!" He twisted his grip around Noemi to offer his hand in greeting and congratulations and promptly held out the other as well. "Hawaiian, and well Japanese tradition. Sure Chel wouldn't sit and make cranes, least of all a thousand of all, ya." Not like he did, "but it's for good health and long life and all that awesome stuff." In his hand was a spiral of paper cranes with little beads to act as a sort of wind chime. They were white (unlike those depicted in the picture provided for visual aid) with a few of them having pink and green embellishments. It looked completely hand made, there was probably a bit of duct tape.
"You are amazing lookin', by the way, ya." He had to point out to Owain. He would gush in a minute. And say hello to Oliver.medigel milo brings weird presents!

Bridal partyGretchen assisted where needed, holding fabric, offering a steadying hand. Whatever Chel needed, if she needed it. It might not have been a designer dress, or cost an arm and leg, but it was still very pretty, and very flattering. Like the wedding itself, it just fit, and seeing her standing there in it made Gretchen smile. "Beautiful. Jack better be careful, might have to steal you away from him." She winked before she leaned in to lay a kiss on Chel's cheek. Chris's comment had Gretchen glancing his way and her lips twitched thoughtfully to one side as she glanced around the room. After a moment her eyes lit up. "Ah! I know." Clutch grabbed off her chair, she opened it to dig inside, drawing out a thin strip of blue paper. One of the ones she wrote notes to Isaac on. "Here, we can tuck this into the front of your dress."

GiftIt took Finn a few moments to figure out what Chel meant by the text. He was, slightly hungover, but well on his way to rectifying that as he had already downed a glass of whiskey in early celebration for the days events. But for the moment, his head still felt a bit foggy, and brain processes were a tad slow. When it finally clicked into place, he smirked, and shot her a text back. chiickadee Text to Chel: Well for when you inevitably chicken out of our arrangement, at least they'll make comfortable dancing shoes.

Gift
To be fair, reading Chel's texts was often like having a hangover, so for the hangover on top of the hangover it was kind of a fair response. Lord knew it took Chel twice as long to respond to Finn's text and she hadn't even had a drop.

Chel snorted at the blue paper and said, "You want me to stuff my bra? Damn barbie, words hurt." While it was clear she was in jest she didn't like the idea of having blue paper stuffed in her front, so she instead lifted up the skirt and tucked it around the string of her undergarments. Still technically there, snug and secure. "If it don't count, my eyes are blue anyways."
She clapped her hands together. "Alright, ladies out- need a sec with my maid of honor." Chel might have been laying it on thick but it was the only opportunity she was going to have to refer to Chris as such. "You guys can tell Jack we're good to start this s**t." She pointed to Gretchen in particular, "And you can give Isaac a kiss for me."

Chris spun around as Chel made it clear they were going to have a talk. He kicked his feet, preemptively pout-y, since he was sure this was going to be a 'don't roundhouse Jack while we're at the altar, that's rude as s**t' kind of talk. He didn't like pregame lectures.
"You didn't have to kick them out to tell me I'm the prettiest. I don't think their feelings would be hurt too much. They know it's the truth."

"Yer ugly as sin and you know it," she said as a kneejerk response before crossing a few steps to fix the flower crown on his head. It needed a little tilt to it, like his snapbacks.
"Look. Listen. I know yer still not down with this but I wanted-" She crossed her arms and looked away rather childishly. "I wanna say thank you. Or whatever."

"You don't have to thank me," Chris responded quickly. "It doesn't matter who you marry, I'd still be here." I'm here for you, full stop.
He rubbed his hands together between his knees uncomfortably. This conversation had not started out how he'd expected it to. "Look I'm not going to ******** this up for you or whatever. You don't have to worry about that."
