K'jatu loved the start of autumn here. It was so different than the red sands of home, this coastline had trees that changed color, and the weather was a treat. Even now, thunderclouds threatened over head, and the air was warm, tasted slighly metalic, and hummed thick with potential. By this afternoon, she had no doubt that there would be lightning and rain, accompanied by the symphony of rolling thunder and blustering winds. And as long as she was just watching it, she was going to be content. She lay quietly in the feild, in a small hollow in the ground that she often occupied, for it was comfortable and nothing prickly grew nearby. From here, she could just watch and think.

Vudeux could sence the change in the air, the warm updrafts where mixing with cool breezes off the ocean. The clouds where becoming heavy and gray, the whole sky seemed to be buzzing. As much as the stallion loved to fly when his wing was not hurting him, he knew better than to stay out while the thunder loomed in the distance.

Tucking his wings the stallion dove gracefully from the sky. Letting his hooves skim the ocean waves as he made his way towards land. At lest here the sea did not have much in the way of sand. Oh how he hated the surf.

Dark spots in the sky in the distance, diving and swooping over the sea, just out of range for clear sight. Only the color of the stallion seemed at all familiar, and the glint of silver at his hooves and throat. He was afar way's off, but K'jatu was happy to see that he was flying. She had worried that he would not be able to do so again, not after that spill on the beach from so many months ago. She watched curiously, and pondered whether to go out closer to the beach in order to speak with him.

Vu eyed what sand tehre was along the shoreline with a wary eye. He quietly stepped to the tree line and more solid ground where he felt not only more sure of himself, but he felt less of that seething hate. Shaking his head he inhaled the sea salt air mixed with the metalic sent of the impending storm.

He almost didnt see her there against the grasses, in her littlw hallow. And when he did see her, he was too late in pretending he hadnt. Of all teh beaches in all the world, she had to be here on this one. He snorted softly and almost walked away in the other direction, yet there was something about K'jatu that bid him forward.

Reluctantly, as if his legs moved against his will he walked towards her. "Hey." He said simply when he was within ear shot. So much for a warm friendly greeting, yet Vu had never been the best with social plesantries.

K'jatu almost smiled inwardly and gave him a knowing look. "hey." She tried to hide the curl of a grin starting in the corner of her mouth, but she got up, shaking herself and her tail out. Wandering forward, she inquired innocently, "How are you feeling lately? Glad to see you flying again."

It was in fact, probably the most polite thing the little mare had ever said to him. Oh well, there was always time for firsts.

Vu raised an eyebrow at her, yes... he was quite sure she was glad to see him flying. He was entirely bitter about the situation, how his wing to this day ached. Yet, she hadnt been fully to blame, he was just to stubborn to admit that he had been showing off for a mare and had caused this pain out of his own stupidity.

He looked down at her, indigo eyes watching her intently, searching for any sort of hidden untertone in her voice. This mare was quite the double talker, so he had decided. His tail flicked as he finished looking at her. "well... yes. " he said and cleared his throat, flashing her a handsome smile at random. "You know me, cant keep me from the sky. Land isnt for me. "

K'jatu smiled knowingly at his words, "Well, I am certainly glad you have the skies back. This storm coming up though, I'm sorry to see it drove you down here, though not entirely unpleased..." She threw him a wink and cocked her head to the side.

"So, other than taking to the skies, how have you been?" There was a phrase, left hanging and unsaid. It said, I've missed you...

Pale eyes watched her, the playful turn of her head the way her mane fell over her shoulders and caressed her neck lightly. The coy expression she wore and the way the words drifted from her lips. He watched her, a mix of revoltion and intrest. She had played this game with him before, a game that had cost him his wing. Yet she'd also saved him.

And still mares, where sneaky foolish things. Using others, toying with emotions to bend to their own will. His mind wandered through a valley of dark pleasures and hidden desires, mixed with memory and heart ache. "Yes... well. Not safe to fly in a storm." he said at length, moving his eyes from her to the very sky itself.

The clouds above where drawing close, a chill wind racing over the salty waves. To much like that fateful night, well..minus the storm. Beaches just unnerved him now. Perhaps she was a siren.

He looked at her again, that would explain it all wouldnt it? Vile woman. He'd missed her too.

Perhaps she was a Siren...bringing storms with her, and more trouble than she was worth. She nodded sympathetically and moved closely, "I'm glad that you've taken to the skies as you may though, you were never meant to be chained to the earth." She offered a coy smile.

"Other than being able to fly again, what have I missed in your life? I could easily call you a dark stranger again." She winked slightly, smile still tugging at her features, and she flicked her tail. He'd refuse a race with her, but her heart was racing a little anyways. She'd missed his banter, more than she'd realized. It was a rare thing for anyone t keep her attention for longer than preliminary introductions, and he held all the allure she'd missed for these months, and it hit her like waves on a rocky shore. The little mare, once again, felt something akin to the unusual and disconcerting feeling of desire.

Vudeux watched her for a moment, that coy smile graced her lips and like a salior he took the bait. He smiled back at her and even a bit of a chuckle drifted from his throat. "Well, the earth could never chain me for long. I hold to much contempt for it and too much love for the sky. To chain a child of the sky must be one of the gravest sins I could ever imagine. " He chuckled again and looked down at her as the wind washed over him, causing the chains that had once bound him to jingle softly.

"Do storms always seem to n** at your heels?" he asked her, avoiding the question of what he had been doing. He didnt exactly want to tell her, for two reasons really. One is that for all her charm he still didnt fully trust her, and two being that he didnt want to give that much information about himself. Thirdly though he didnt want to admit it, he was ashamed that he had had children with that winged mare, thought the children where the light of his life.

She chuckled slightly, "Tempests seem to be in my nature. It always storms when I'm around, in one way or another, didnt you know?" She continued to chuckle, she was being far too facetious for her own good, but the rhythm of idle word play was easy to get back into, and anything to keep the dark stallion talking, in a good mood was her goal. She had been idle, and this change of pace was more than welcome to her.

She almost wanted to ask again, it had been a long while since she had seen him, but then, perhaps maybe his last few months were un-noteworthy. She mentally shrugged it off and made a note to simply ask again later.

Vu watched her with his pale purple eyes. The movement of her head as she spoke, the way her long hair caressed her neck and fell like a waterfall over her shoulders to pool in the grass beside her. He sighed a little, inwardly wondering what would have happened had he not been so foolish that last meeting on the beach. He smiled at her, half of him wishing to push those thoughts from his mind, The same half that called her siren and blamed her for the pain that still ached in his wing.

"Well then, when I think of storms I shall always have to remember you." would be a plesent change from thinking of her when his wing ached. He blinked a little and caught himself, that had slipped from his mouth before he had any chance of stopping it. He cleared his throat and glanced down and to the side. Silly woman, why did she have this effect on him.

She siddled closer to him, smiling genially, "It'd be a great pleasure to be associated with them..." She winked playfully and tossed her head lightly, "Want to go for a walk? No racing this time, I promise." She spoke gently, slight remorse tinging her words beyond the top layer of casual friendliness. She still felt partially to blame for his injuries too. Perhaps she could make it up to him.

He looked at her and smiled softly, she always had a way of tuging at him and making him smile. He couldnt refuse her, though at times he would like to. He nodded softly, chains quietly dancing against his velvet neck. "Sure.. I think a walk would be nice. Nicer than just standing here in idle banter." He waited for her to stand and looked down the grassy shoreline. So long as they stayed away from her surf he would be fine.
