Hello everyone! Midnight here once again, and although its a little late its November so you know what that means. mrgreen
October was indeed a quiet time for the clan, with the funds only going from 1.3 mil to 1.4 mil.
In other news our own Usul made a return momentarily. According to him his accounts were hacked while he was gone so he's under a new account for the moment. and if he can't get his account back he will rejoin. For the safety of us and our clan I have kicked the account out for now.
With that said let us begin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the last meeting I talked about a possible exchange area within the clan. And although there was quite some interest, stupid me didn't bother to go further into detail. sweatdrop Well I'll be doing the explanation here, keep in mind that this would be in no way a mandatory thing. I know we all have quests on Gaia but I figured maybe we could all probably help each other with this.
If were all for this I'll be opening up a new subforum for this, probably use one of the empty ones we have in this subforum I would sticky a thread. anyway lets say I have a whole bunch of game items that I want to store in the mule for the clan so I make the trade to the mule. But at the same time I go into this subforum and post in this thread what your putting into the trade so that way we can verify it and keep somewhat of a record of it. Now at the same time I can choose to either donate this to the clan or I can choose to exchange for gold. Now here's what's probably gonna kill the idea but since we'd be just starting out I could only do a 1 to 1 ratio exchange, meaning that lets say I in my trade I gave 1500 tickets I'd only get 1500 gold for them if I chose to exchange.
Anyway this could be risky I know but hey that's why were discussing it no?
Anyway next order of business: As you know november is here which means that time of year is fast approaching. I of course am talking about Christmas, which means we will be running our annual TROGK Secret Santa soon, an announcement will be made soon for it. This is actually one of the events that runs quite well and i'm hoping it will continue to do so this year.
Well that's pretty much all I got for the time being. if anyone has questions or suggestions or idea's feel free to post.
I'd far prefer to just donate items I don't need than worry about tradeoffs, unless they are for things that will help my wishlist or alchemy. Clan can have all my pinball items though lol.
Something I would like to know how each of the members is doing in Alchemy, (or if they don't use that system, they can say why), I'm using it because I want to work toward the still unreleased wings. I am at the level 3 blockade myself, but if there are members who are much higher, then eventually one of them could help me create it when it comes out.
Secret Santa: bearing in mind that I am offline for the week or two around xmas and new years to visit family, if I do participate I'll have to again finish my present shopping early and let the clan mule hold onto it.
Would we be able to exchange junk for junk as well?
Also only one person should be in charge of the mule when it comes to tradin' items, or gold. It will be a good idea to take a screencap when you trade, and post it in the thread.
We could also do a little fundraiser to get gold for the mule/clan. Maybe if we can get some clan members to do smob runs. Each run usually nets you about 17k. Each person could donate a part of their gold earnin's to the clan. That might help to build up some more funds. I've been doin' a lot of runs, and I don't mind givin' back to the clan.
I can't believe next month is Christmas. I so would love to do the Secret Santa again this year. I hope a lot of people take part in it this year.
I'm at lv. 3 in Alchemy at the moment. It's hard to go any higher than that at this time.
As for the Secret Santa, if you do take part, there shouldn't be a problem with the mule holdin' onto the gift.
That one level 10 guy in the forums said he spent around 100 mil!
Whereas I have 2 mil...
I do smob runs as well when I have the time, since I'm still missing a divinity ring.
This is good, this is what I wanted to see. Your opinions are all valid let me try to answer them for you.
Tay - You're welcome to do that if you want the reason for my idea of keeping records is that if we ever get get as big or as well off financially on Gaia with the mule I'd like to do some special things and hopefully keeping records will allow me to do those things without much backlash. Doubt it would happen just basically covering my own a** here.
Darc - you'd have to define "junk" before I could give you a good answer to that since junk items are usually game items as well. I was just using the game items as an example. And those suggestions you gave are excellent. And as far as one person taking care of it It would probably be me in the end since I'm taking care of the finances.
As far as alchemy goes I'm at level 3 like most of the gaian populace. And the mule is at level 1.
If anyone is willing to donate pure gold to the mule go for it. Like I said before this isn't mandatory. heck I got the clan mule set up for PS runs at the moment she is capable of doing runs and holding her own.
As for the concerns of the Secret Santa the way I see it is if it worked before it can work again.
I like the exchange/quest helping concept, just think it needs a bit more refinement! heart
And DMS can be quite brutal if your not prepared. I've noticed some rings that normally are used in the other area's not as effective as they have been before.
