Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a great summer... As I post this I can't believe its been a year since our last meeting to be honest.
Well no time like the present! Now before I begin I'd like to welcome our newest members: CH1BES, Sadistyk Soul, D_S-Tarheels
Let us hope that these 3 are the beginning of our clan's rejuvination. With that said let us begin.

As most of you know July was a good and bad month for our clan. The good was we were celebrating our clan's 4th anniversary. The bad news however was that the creator of this clan our former leader, this clan's creator Kain-Senpai left us for reason's of her own. She will be missed.
That was July, this is September and right away I know 2 things that need to be dealt with right away.
- to recruit or not to recruit?: When I made the thread giving everyone the choice to stay or leave only 8 people answered/took the poll. Our membership is 41. Minus the mule and our newcomers. we have 29 inactive members.
- finding our clan's purpose?: Adding to our ranks is one thing but its pointless if we have nothing for us to do.
I have some ideas but I'd like to hear from you all first. Well with that said I open it to you all. and feel free to use the poll for a slight gold boost.

I think recruition should always be an effort. At least being open to new people and helping them join the community of trogk, being open to them is necessary. Otherwise, people move on, as we've seen, and we're left with less and less. Maybe the people we would prefer don't stick around, but the community stays alive, for another generation of people.
Who needs a purpose? Let people make trogk what they want to make of it. Having a mission statement is great, and it'll serve the purpose of being a clan for zomg, but I don't think, even with my great inactivity, that I'm the only one who doesn't play the game now. If some people want to treat it like a hangout, saying it's strictly for campaigning and the hardcore questing or whatever the ******** is in the game, that deters people who have grown close to the community aspect of the game. Likewise, saying it's a complete social guild deters the people who yearn for the hard side of the game the guild is made for. Having a "purpose" isn't going to be healthy. Let people make what they want to make from it.

Nothin' wrong with tryin' to get more people to join. Problem is we want to do stuff, but at the moment nothin' is happenin'. We have to keep the peoples interest if we want to this clan/guild to grow.

I agree we should always try to recruit new people, but maybe we should start doing probation for new members if they don't post or participate a certain amount in the first three months they would be booted to try to cut down on inactivity. I hope that soon I should start being online more often and be able to participate more.
Hopefully with new stuff starting on zomg we will have more to do together. I myself haven't played in about a yea but that's due to lack of online time, running a house if neverending i tell ya lol.

Ok 1st off I could have sworn you quit the clan a long time ago Mercain. and 2nd I agree with most of what you say there. I personally never saw a problem with us just socializing in the thread. I mean hey as long as there's people posting our place will remain on the 1st page.
I personally think that although we've started off as a zomg clan we should be incorporating all aspect of Gaia. There's more to Gaia than zomg after all.
Something else I want to bring up is our clan mule: as of right now we have around 700k in the mule account, and with all the recent changes in gaia I see loads of potential I even see a possibility of reviving an old idea.
Any suggestions on what we could do with this source of revenue is much welcome.
