Our clan is basically in a coma. There is little to no activity here, besides the occasional party. I know this is partly my fault because I personally haven't been visiting the clan and planning any events. Another problem I think is the Clan/Guild Announcement system. For all we know people haven't been seeing the Clan's Announcement because they're BURIED in our Notices. And the last problem I think is zOMG! itself, the Halloween Event is fun but we need new content which will be coming soon thanks to Gaia reassigning the proper Developers back to us. So when we finally get that new content, interest in zOMG! will hopefully spark again and maybe our clan can come back to life. In the meantime, I think we should have Clan Farming groups, to make us some gold while having fun wtih Clan friends and that sort of thing. Contests should also be brought back, Raffles, Avatars, Photography and maybe some live zOMG stuff. And if you need help with ANYTHING in the game, feel free to send me a PM. smile

Agreed, been trying to get people more active in the clan now for quite a while, the biggest problem is navigation to the clan, we need a clan button added to the forums area so people remember to check their clans once in a while.
2nd problem is clan chat is broken, this has been hurting all clans universally, and the fact that gaia is bleeding developers has hurt them getting this feature fixed for quite a while.
3rd problem is the announcement system we need the announcements to go back to the old style and not get buried in the useless notices section.
We definitely need you to support the threads that address these problems, the more support we give those threads, the more likely gaia will take them seriously and get them fixed.

Farming parties sound fun. I am trying to finish getting all of the badges I still need in zOMG!. Farming parties would not only be great for gold but for badges, as well. 3nodding
I managed to get all my badges from the Halloween event, by the way. xD

I don't have a lot of time for ZOMG but I do participate in the occasional event and I like the clan stuff you have.

I haven't been playing zOMG! much lately and I've never been much of a party-er on offline, so I guess that's part of why I haven't really been active lately... I might be around more if there were like occasional SS runs or something but in all honesty I think I'd just end up missing most of them anyway due to school and stuff. Sorry. :c I'm pretty sure we aren't the only clan with this problem, zOMG! itself is kinda in a slump with the whole lack of content getting us into a Catch 22 situation... gonk

It's okay, we all know what's keeping people from playing. 3nodding heart
Good idea with the farming groups, I'm extremely busy right now at work but things should *cross my fingers* slow down in a few weeks so hopefully I'll have more time to devote to Gaia.

I played zOMG a few days ago, and it's still fun. Farming groups are a good idea, and maybe some quest groups too? :3

Having been a member of this clan for, well, since the beginning, I believe I know the causes to our clan's activity plight.
Part of the problem stems, of course, from zOMG! itself, but it's not necessarily directly tied to the issues surrounding the broken features. Instead we face an even more dire issue. Like many MMORPGs, we suffer from reaching levels high enough where all we do is grind against things that are either only just able to harm us, or we de-power ourselves enough to make things a "challenge" despite it being the fiftieth time repeating whichever quest the party decided on. It's all the same, and the thrill is leaving the game.
This is perfectly fine for players who just want to grind forever because that's what they like to do. But that type of player is generally a minority in online gamers. We're plagued by the fact that we're doing the same things we've always done in the game, until they give us new content, which has been "on the way" for a while.
Even when we get new content, we still face the issue that the only real thing that brought this clan together in the first place was a collective appreciation for zOMG!. Appreciation of what the game was, and what our clan stood for in the beginning, and still. We are a group that formed to help the weak, to guide the new players as much as to protect and nurture the players who just don't seem to get the hang of the game. We're a place for people to join ideas about the game, or anything else. We're a group who makes sure that when people need to see some rest in their own action, we can help make that happen.
Not everyone who plays zOMG! is in a clan. Some people want to be in a clan, but don't because they, like myself, are a lurker. I joined this clan in the beginning of it's days back when I was far more active on Gaia. Since those first days, I've grown a little distressed at how Commercial Gaia has gotten. And that's just in the time since the game was new. It had already gotten much more Commercial by that time.
I digress, however. Some people prefer to stay to themselves because they either feel they would be a burden or not pull their own weight in a group organization. Some folks just like doing their own thing without having to consider where other people would fit into their plans.
When we started as a clan, that was fine for us. We didn't care if others were in the clan or not, we just wanted to make sure the game was more enjoyable to others.
Now, I don't know how many people still do regular patrols throughout zOMG! for people in need of help, but that was a regular activity in the early days. It helped find new members as well as introducing solo players to the concept of 'random party members'.
This is a social game, is it not? So part of what we could consider doing would be to get back out there. We don't have to avoid partying up with our own members, but we should always seek out other people to help them through their own challenges.
The forums of this clan were usually fairly filled with stories of our Guardian Deeds and sometimes they were told from new Guardians.
I am ashamed to admit this, but I've been a very lurky lurker, of late. I barely do much on Gaia, as compared to my early days in this clan. I'm not proud of the fact that I'm still a member of this clan, despite doing nearly nothing for it. At one point I was even a Vice Captain, what seems so long ago. Due to my own inactivity, that title was rightfully stripped from me.
That said, I am admittedly out of touch with the clan community as a whole. So I may be wrong about what I next say. Our clan may already still be holding true to our original purpose. Forgive my impertinence if this should turn out to be the case. However, I shall shove on and get on with the point.
I wish to see our Clan come out of its coma. We need not be a group that revolves around fabricated events and contests. We already have a purpose, we just need to redouble our efforts in seeing that purpose through.
I guarantee, if we go out into the zOMG! public and help strangers in need, fellow players from other clans, solo players who 'need no help', and any other player that just wants to sit and chill... We will see more activity in our forums, both from current members talking about their experiences and from new members coming to share in our purpose.
Soon, we'll see crew-managed threads about planned aid missions that have entire squads of of Guardians going out Solo or in small groups to aid the new, the needy and the weak.
To that end, I would suggest a call to arms. A call to action for all of our members; the active, the lurkers, the new, the old-timers; every member we can get to pick up their rings and beat on some Animated. With every member we can muster upholding our purpose, the rest of what we want to happen will come to pass by itself.

Yona_Babe I'm not that often on zOMG anymore, but I promise I come back, when I have more time left. ^^ This. Besides, maybe it's just me but this place doesn't seem comatose to me. Not as active as it could be but still active. *has seen comatose guilds and clans before* I just tend to lurk more anyway. I'm sorry. ^.^;;
