ok, i've come to realize that the last few contest have kinda discriminated against those that can't do art, so.... to make it a bit more fair we're going to have a short story/essay contest for this month

the story will be about what caused your character to take the train to barton town

or

what happened before you got on the train.

the story should end just as you meet frank or when the train speeds up.
the essay can be on pretty much any subject within reason. but seeing as its being voted on by the clan i would suggest that it be something a tad entertaining or fascinating.

it can be as long as you want but dont make it ridiculous, entrys should be posted in the writers subforum. it can be posted as you write it but you MUST state in the topic title that this is for the contest, finished entrys will be posted in a thread about 3 days before voting, but the sooner you finish your story the better chances you will have.

you may ask for assistance in brainstorming, editing and spellchecking from anyone. both Chrissy and kajaro will be helping people with their entry's as much as possible but there is only so much that we can do.

you may also team up on this contest as well. if you have someone that will help you in writing the story for the both of you you must PM chrissy this information. the prize will be split into two in this case.

Winner will also have their story showcased on the home page of the clan.

Rules
1 contest rules as stated in the rules section apply
2 storys may not include political, religious themes or excessive violence
3 if you want to include another person into your story but is not a co-writer you must pm that person for permission to include them.
4 proper english will be used. excessive slang, chat, or leet speak will not be tolerated (you may use some leet speak and such to depict a newbie and such, just dont go overboard)

remember, this is before zomg started, thus the clan would not have been formed yet.

entry's will be judged by the clan, so the more entertaining the better.

now for the prize

20k and two random items from RWCrew's inventory (items are in the process of being obtained/decided on)

for those that haven't been on for long this thread is a great guide to what has happened in gaia since it was founded!

ya this one is going to be alot of work, thus the ability to have a co-writer and also with the money being increased.

i would have the two prize items committed but i'm not sure what ones to give. and i want the guard to be RW's item for awhile at the very least before i offer it to be a prize.

lol only if you really want to. i've been really bad about how much gaia cash i've been useing and i'm trying to save the rest of it for the new EI's that come out or for MC's that i like.

plus her story was soemwhat slapped-on but, i really feel i outdid the shell ketsu's been in lately in her actual universe story by making the alter-universe Ketsu
