Even know that both Jade and Shin are twins, they could never really pinpoint where one would be. Thus, Jade and Ashlin were searching the entire country to find their missing friend/brother. Marko had allowed only Jade and one other to search for Shin, afraid that if something had happened to him could also happen to the remaining members. A heavy sigh escaped Jade's lips as he was looking about, he wanted to find Shin and see if he is alright.

~~~~
A bitter cough escaped Shin, as he looked about. He found himself if a little home, or so that is what he felt like. Laughter could be heard outside the door, causing his opal eyes to look towards the direction, as Shanti slowly walked inside with a small smile on her face. "Where am I?" He asked, his voice rather harsh from the beatings that he was taken from the men that were chasing after him. Shanti shook her head, as she sat down near him. Violet eyes looked at Shin that held a hint of sadness. Once again, the man tried to get her to tell him where he was at, and once again, the young woman shook her head. Shin was close to losing his patience with the young woman. opal eyes closed as he rested his head back on the floor.
Shanti frowned slightly as she handed Shin a bowl of water, the man was half dead when she got to him, and now he was some what alive.
To be thrilled was an understatement, Shin was staring into space as the young woman was helping him drink His throat burned and his body ached as she continued to help. Even though she never said a word, she checked on him every hour with a sad smile. Something must have happened, but what? He dared not ask, the woman already gives him a cold shoulder. Or so he thought, he only hoped that his brother and the others would find him soon. He had yet to find the ones that he was searching for. Shanti was humming to herself as she was making something from the corner of the one room, every now and then her violet eyes would look up to make sure that Shin was still alive and breathing; then she would go back to whatever she was working on.
~~~~~

It was as if the evil one knew that Shin had gotten away, for the fact that his two faithful servants came back empty handed. With a heavy sigh, the man began to tap his fingers on the arm rest of his throne. Both of his servants were bowed before him, neither wanted to face their lord; with him doing the silence treatment, neither wanted to be around. "So,"he started, both cringed as the dark lord continued to tap his fingers. "You let him get away..how can you two let him get away?!" Both servants cringed once more, as they both looked up. "Well, I am waiting."

"My lord the one you sent us after," Gargin started, his midnight black hair was pulled back into a high pony tail, his bright ember eyes were focused on the lord in front of him. "He ended up in a village that no one knew about. We did not want to spoil our pla-"

"That man still has the power that I seek!" Their lord bellowed, causing him to stand up; both servants took a step back. "I want that power and I want it now. If you two do not get me that power then so help me it will be your hides!"

Both Kiliar and Gargin shrinked away from the lord, neither wanted to feel their lords wrath, so both bowed once more telling him that they would find Shin.

~~~
Jade and Ashlin were looking about, they went to every village that they know of and have yet spotted Shin. "Maybe he did not make it," whispered Ashlin as she looked up at Jade. The man shook his head as he continued to look right and left. "Jade, if we can not find Shin, then he may not be alive."
"No," the man said rather harshly. "I know my brother is still alive, the only problem that I have is the fact of not finding him." Ashlin sighed lightly as she placed a hand on his right shoulder. Giving a little squeeze, the woman slowly pulled her hand back. "Trust me Ash, he's out there, I know he is."
"Then," her voice was rather small as she looked up at the man. "We continue our search for him." Jade smiled at the woman next to him.
~~~

Several days have passed, several long, slow passing days for Shin. Shanti thought that it was time for Shin to move about, but instead of her saying it to his face; it was her adoptive father who told the man that he could finally be up and moving in a rather harsh tone. Opal eyes blinked rapidly against the brightness of the outside world, now he knew how their father felt before his death. A small heavy sigh escaped his lip as he spotted Shanti with several of the children from the village surrounding her. He never really understood the young woman, except for the fact of her not speaking.
Shanti smiled as the children were laughing and helping about. It was odd for a young woman to be loved by so many children and elders of the village, but to the young woman, she thought that the only reason that she was loved was for the fact of being adopted by the main elder of the village. Not to mention that her entire family was killed when she was younger. A small tug and a finger pointed towards Shin who was standing underneath the shade of an orchid tree. Violet eyes blinked ever so slightly against the rays of the sun. Another small smile appeared on her face, as she slowly turned and headed towards the healer's home.
Shin smiled a little, that it, until Shanti's father started to walk towards him. To a normal human, one would have a hard time telling weither the elder of the village was indeed Shanti's father. The man's face was like a stone, never moving, no sign of emotions shine within the murky green eyes of his. But to any type of god, one could easily tell. Something had happened to the woman to cause her to lose her ability of speech. Something tragic. The elder slowly came to a stop as he was now facing the man. "Is there something that I can help you with?" The elder asked, once again, he held no emotion as he slowly turned to face his village.

"You're not her real father are you?" The man asked, never bothering to look at the elder. "What happ-"

"Shanti's family died in a tragic fire." The elder started, he to had not looked at the man who was at least five inches taller then himself. "No one knew how it started and no one knew how she escaped it." A light sigh escaped him, his murky eyes were watching his adoptive daughter walk about. "I took her in when she was only five, someone had to. Though it seems that the healer has taken a liking to her as well. If it weren't for her, you would have been dead."

"A mute child took care of me, how nice." The elder chuckled lightly, causing Shin to look down at him.

"She was a talker when she was just a child, the fire scared her for life. Ever since then, she has been helping the sick."

Shin never replied as he kept his opal eyes straight ahead. "Let me give you some advice: Never judge a human by their appearance, but by the light of their soul."

Blinking rapidly, Shin was slightly taken back by what the elder had told him. His father had told both Jade and himself the same thing, but he never really understood what he had meant until he had meet Shanti. It was as if even a small butterfly could make a difference within the world. The elder could only smile, as he slowly stepped away from the man. "Remember those, and you will be able to know who does right and who does wrong."

"How would you know?" He asked, causing the elder to stop in his tracks, turning he faced Shin once more. "How can you tell who does right and who does wrong?"

The elder laughed lightly, as he placed both aging hands behind his back. "My dear boy, Shanti's father was never the good man within our small village. A thief, and unwanted person. No one wanted him, and his aura was as black as the night sky with no guidance. Until one day, he meet a woman who turned that all around. Never judge one from a family with a member that has done wrong."

"Children who have proper guidance can do wonders to the world."
"I still do not understand you." Shin sighed lightly as he looked right at the elder.

The elder sighed lightly, as Shanti slowly walked out of the healers hut and towards the river. "Shanti's father was some what of a burden to our little village. From the way that he acted, no one wanted him around. That is, until he had meet a woman who turned that all around. Her mother was like an angel, making the man change his way. A damaged soul needs one to help them get back to their true paths. If not, they continue to cause havoc. Watch my daughter carefully, and you will understand on what I truly mean."

With a heavy sigh, Shin watched as the elder turned about once more. An odd one? No, but then again, Shin hardly understood on what the man was stating. But if his adoptive daughter would teach him something. Then maybe he should stay till he found out on what he needed. Licking his lips ever so slightly, the man slowly took out an orb that was within his hidden pocket. He needed to find the people and he needed to find them now. If not, then the whole world would be covered in darkness. It was something that Marko was holding him responsible. Another sigh, the man placed the orb within his pocket, and slowly headed towards the river. Maybe he shouldn't stay, the two men that were chasing him might still be out there. Staying would only endanger the people of this village. Wherever this village is at. Opal eyes looked up at the midday sky. If he stayed, then he would learn on what both his father and the elder of this village meant; not to mention that they could be attacked. If he would leave without anyone knowing, then they would be safe, and he would learn nothing.
Shanti sighed lightly, as she looked over at the man that she helped. A stubborn man no doubt, but yet there was something about him that she wanted to know more about.
