The winged unicorn trotted through a field nearby his human's general area. It was something to get away from it all. The energetic Zori was always willing to talk with him. But the young stallion just...wasn't enough. Zori wasn't yet wise to the world. Sui chuckled to himself. The other two were barely there, but that was all right. They had family elsewhere to keep themselves company. Oh...ouch. Yeah there was a hurtful thought...family. He looked up. Guess it was common for one to lose track of one's family...oh well. The male lowered his head to graze.

Abdiel

Abdiel continued his way west as he searched for the best patch of grass to graze in. This was something not quite like exploring new places, but familiarizing ones self with already known places. The grass did change with each new season however, so it was good to find the best places regularly.
It seemed that he was not the only one in the field today, for there was another also grazing. Another unicorn Abdiel noticed! And a flying one too it seemed. He would be interesting to talk to. Abdiel trotted up to him immediately, neighing a greeting as he approached.
"Hello, fellow unicorn. Might I share this patch of grass with you? My name is Abdiel." And he gave a slight bow, so as best to show off his horn to the other unicorn. Despite having three other unicorns in his herd, he'd really not met any others like him.

Sujieko looked up in surprise at the appearance of the other Unicorn Stallion. Taking in the dark colorations of the other male Sui smiled as he bowed his head in greeting. "Sujieko, but most called me Sui nowadays. Its nice to meet a fellow Unicorn, tho you are the first since I came here to this area." the winged male admitted.

Abdiel also bowed his head as a return greeting. "Sui," he repeated. "Nice to meet you."
So it seemed that Sui had not met many other unicorns either. Abdiel didn't think they were that rare, but perhaps he just hadn't explored the right areas. He had heard talk about a waterfall where there were many others, but he had actually never visited it.
"Are you new to this area?" he asked the other stallion. Perhaps that was why he hadn't met any other unicorns yet.

Sujieko nodded his head, "Yes. I...I came from another territory to this one after being seperated from my former family. Its still a work in progress to get used to my new family. I'm getting there...how about you? Are you close to this area?"The winged male was curious. The dark male before him was a stunning unicorn indeed, if he had family close by would they look the same or similar to him Sui wondered.

The concept of changing families wasn't exactly familiar to Abdiel. "A new family?" he asked with innocent curiosity. "You mean like a new herd?"
Abdiel pondered this for a moment. He had met someone once before who had been looking for a new herd. She had been banished from her old one. He hoped nothing like that had happened to Sui.
"I myself don't have any family. Just my herd. We're all a bunch of misfits really." He laughed and then added, "Although most of us are unicorns. There are a few others though. I keep to myself mostly." He nodded his head towards the river. "I live over that way, on the other side of the river."
He bent down to get another mouthful of grass and then asked, "Do you like your new family?"SwordOfTheDarkOnes Sorry it's taken me forever! >w<

Sui chuckles, "Yes, herd. Sorry...being around my new human. they keep refering to the herd as their "family" poor thing that they are." the winged male bent his head to graze a little. His long tail whipped a few pests away before he raised his head to look at the other unicorn. "That's a good trip, I myself live up there in the moutians away from most others." he said with a toss of his head in the general direction he came from, "I adore them..small as they are."

Abdiel chuckled as well with the other male, "Yes I understand how they can be." Humans were strange things. Most of them were okay, but not all of them were friendly unfortunately. Abdiel for the most part just kept to himself and other soquili, or his owl familiar, Dionysus.
"That's good that you love them. That's how it should be. My herd...well we are an interesting mix. I can really only say I'm close to one of them, but I do mostly keep to myself."
Abdiel looked towards the mountains. "I travel through the mountains often. There doesn't seem to be as many hunters there than in some of the forests." Abdiel thought of his recent encounter in the western forest. It would be awhile before he traveled out that way again.

Sui nodded, "Hunters. A type of human I've had very little chances to encounter. Of which I'm glad for. I believe the human who keeps a open pen for us protects us from them. I've certainly seen them intimidate males far bigger than them for our sake." he mused thinking back to his sparse memories of his human interacting with other humans. Sui shook his mane out, "Sounds like you have quite a home waiting for you." he smiled gently, "That's a good thing. Abdiel. Treasure it."Senseing the need for a change of topic the winged stallion tilted his head, "What does one such as yourself do for fun?"

"Then you are very lucky," Abdiel told Sui. "I have encountered them several times before. Not many times, but far too many than I would like." He thought for a second and then added, "Probably one of the consequences of traveling alone."
He thought of Rahnya, and what she would say if she knew he were still traveling alone. If only he could find her again... "I did travel with another once, but we went separate ways. I've been trying to find her again, but to no avail."
"It sounds like you have a very kind human looking after you. I'm sure the one who looks after my herd would do the same, though she is a small little thing," he mused. "But I'm not home much, so I'm not sure. I mostly travel in my spare time. Sleep somewhere new everyday, discover new things about the land, meet others like myself, those sort of things." He pawed at the ground for a moment while thinking and then said, "But you're right, I should treasure it. I should probably pay them all a visit soon." He smiled. "Thanks for that I guess."
"What sort of things do you do for fun? Have you ever visited the waterfalls?"

Sui nodded, "I can understand the dislike if your encounters were unpleasant ones." the winged male chuckled, "I would be inclined to agree."The winged male looked around the field, it was wide. Freedom rang all throughout the view, but he felt a sense of imprisonment as well. He knew he had someone to return to, someone who needed him. He looked back as the unicorn stallion spoke, "Oh. Sounds like a story. Perhaps you'll find that friend of yours."Sui nodded, "I find most humans are rather small when compared to us." the male chuckled again, "That is definatly something to remember. Perhaps your next travelling compaion should be a writier, that way you had a record to tell your children. Should you choose to have any." the male nodded, "Your welcome. family isn't so easily replaced, it takes time and trust to established those ties."Sui nickered, " I beleive i asked you that fist young one, but I'll indulge you. For me...racing the younger stallion in my new herd. But, i have not visited the waterfalls yet...though it sounds like a good idea."

Abdiel nodded and let out a little snort, sending steam into the chilly air. "It was a story...still is one...indeed. Ah, maybe I need to move on. I might not find her, but there is still another story out there for me." He chuckled, realizing Sui probably had no idea what he was talking about. Abdiel didn't know how to explain either so he left it at that. Perhaps if the two of them became better friends, they would come to know one another's stories better.
"A writer you say?" And Abdiel chuckled again. He liked talking to this stallion. "Do you know of one?" It was strange of him to mention that, since Rahnya had been a story teller...
Abdiel took a deep breath at the stallions next statement about kids. Abdiel hadn't really thought of that sort of thing. He was trying to find the right mare first. "I'll start a family one day I'm sure...but for now I guess my herd is my family."
"You did ask first, and I told you," Abdiel smirked. And he listened as Sui told him what he liked to do for fun. The next thing that came to Abdiel's mind must have been because he was itching for something new. "I have not been to the waterfalls in a long time...perhaps we should go take a look. Might be pretty this time of year."

Abdiel nodded back and then began to head towards the mountains. He wondered if there would be others of their kind there this time of year. He'd only been there once in the summer. It was a peaceful place. He didn't know why he didn't go more often. Something about the place struck a strange memory for him and he couldn't figure out what it was. It was like dejavu only...different.
As they walked Abdiel spoke again to his unicorn companion, "Thank you, by the way, for inspiring me to head home and visit my herd. I hope they'll be glad to see me." He chuckled lightly. Hopefully they hadn't forgotten about him.

Sui chuckled at the other male. His thoughts going towards his new herd. The older stallion inclined his head. "You are most welcome. I would think so as long as you haven't left things on a negative note. I don't see why your family wouldn't want to see you again."He didn't know much about the others family but things couldn't be that bad. At least the other was willing to see them again and not refuse. He wondered about the waterfalls. It had been a while since he left his new herd. More out of fear they would leave him behind. He knew how to find them again. His human wouldn't leave without him...
