here it goes most guilds that are larger usually have a lot of inactive members but they get new members to take the place of the inactive members but we being a small guild we don't have that luxury and we periodically have to replenish are members but that doesn't always work and we need to find new ways about doing it but by that time are members have went inactive and we find are selves in a bind trying to keep the guild afloat while we find new members but we are are a fire with vary few peaces of kindling but that's just my way of explaining the problem now we usually use the forums and some time the towns but we get about 5 to 9 new members we were biger at one point but as the record shows 2007 was the year most people quite gaia and i believe this is when the rate of decay started but dew to lack of actual moral of members that's what keeps us in the slump of decay we need something new something that can get members active but doesn't fallow are usual ways of doing it i had the idea of ranking but that's to simple then i thought why not look at some of the guilds I've been a members of from that i made somthing even more but that wasn't enough so i looked at the games i've played and then it was finished although ruffly put together i made a list of ranks that fallow my jrotc officer ranks and my own idea for ranks but i'll need to put the rules and the symbols for each of the 14 ranks i'll also be makig those cards i talked about so long ago

Using a Rank system sounds good in the beginning, but many new members might not want to climb them...
I like how it would tie into your "Card" system though. We'd have to call a vote before it got instated. I'm 50-50 on the matter. mostly why i think it should be voted on. xP

I don't really jump instantly at idea's we've had before. From what i remember, we attempted this, and had a lot of trouble with it.

yes but that system although not bad was still hard to understand that's why I've been working on fixing it and that's not what i meant when i said that's what i hopping you would say

Seems I'm going to have to make one last leader statement before I official turn into a super-cop-militant. XD
Your idea is good and it says promise but you must look at it from the member's view and analyze way the guild isn't getting as many people.
People attract people. Before we could ever get more members, we will have to gain a LARGE amount of activity, but how does one start that off you might wonder? Well, that's where we must truly accept the horrible truth. No one really cares about everyday rps anymore. A world of supernaturals we can do anything they want as long as they don't kill each other right away? Too overplayed and overused. But even if you were to fix this, nothing good is to come. People love to have the option to play around or be serious. Choice is key but it can't be the key if the door is already unlocked, yet forcing the members to play along to the rules is asinine.
Randomness is a great topic and seems to get all the activity in the world, but why? Because randomness is the basis of creativity and there is only one way to reach that creativity. By being random! The choice to be serious or random, valued asset.
So if by now you haven't figured out how to fix the problem allow me to give a horrid set of words that spell the truth of the matter.
No one really cares for roleplay anymore. With the possible closing of the world at hand and a globe in chaos, they wish not to fight another war. They want to live in fantasy land where everything they do is what they will to happen.
Getting more and more active rp guilds and clans involved only broadens the mess cause now two will fall instead of one. No survivor but he who stayed isolated. But do not think isolation is the trait of a survivor, it is the trait of a lone dog that no wolf would dare team with. The only way that we can save the guild is by being that which we cannot without destroying our present selves. Gaia, just as it's planet, is dying and there is nothing we can do for it has all been done before. So I propose that there is only one way out of the dying planet. Immortality. And there is nothing more everlasting than Randomness.
So allow me to put it in terms that I'm sure you'll like...
Will you dagger your heart and live immortality in the void of random or will you try to rebel the ominous presence of the shard of fate, surviving till the end in which only the immortal die but you cannot escape Lose?
But I warn you this now, no matter what you do, there will be bloodless death at every turn and there will be no power in your hands strong enough to match the gods of this domain. But without hope, there will be only end and no new beginning to thrive from. Every great organization has tested the trials of time, but only a few have passed with an acceptable grade and be given residence in the hall of fame where no famine of glory is seen. Choose wisely.

the consruction of the ranking sysmtem is still being worked on i haven't been give it the attention it needs dueto other unforseen events
