tab Upon walking into the Academy, Inikko had looked around. There were plenty of young ninja there attempting to develop their skills, either through reading scrolls, sparring, or their own individual meditation or training rituals. Inikko was a smart girl but she knew that she would not be able to pick up a technique just by reading a scroll, but rather through the actual mental training of it. And thus, begins Inikkoβs training method; meditation and expression. As she stood there contemplating, she wanted to honor her clanβs name with the techniques that she would be able to use in battle. The Yamanaka clan is known for their strong sensory abilities and that is where she would start.
tab Inikko walked over to the wall of scrolls and it had been a while since she had read a scroll for the information like this. They had categorized each scroll based on type of technique and rank. Grabbing a sensory scroll, she opened it while resting on the floor. βYamabikoβ¦β She had muttered to herself. It was a sensory technique that would let the user locate the relative location of anything in the vicinity by listening to the echoes of a sharp sound. The technique is activated by some form of sound caused by the user. Louder sounds travel farther. βIt effectively works like echolocationβ¦β She continued to mutter to herself as she sat there. She sighed as she rolled up the scroll and placed it back with the other scrolls.
tab Walking to the corner of the room, she noticed other ninja in the room, so it was a perfect time to test this new technique. Pulling her headband over her eyes, Inikko took a deep breath, spun around and then let out a small whisper, βYamabiko.β She said after forming the hand sign.

tab Once she had released the molded chakra from her mouth, it had bounced around the room and gave Inikko a vision of what was in the room. There were people talking low to each other and some other younger ninja even talking. With a smile on her face, she pulled her headband up and saw what was in her mind right in front of her. It was a great feeling.
tab Going back to the wall of scrolls, she had grabbed from the genjutsu section of scrolls. She was on a roll for learning these techniques. Grabbing three scrolls for this section, she returned to her corner where she had studied before. Genjutsu techniques were inherently harder to learn for her, but she could just feel the power coming off of the techniques just by reading it. βKuuden.β She read as she began to read it. βIt disrupts the hearing of people in the areaβ¦ Interestingβ¦β Inikko said as she looked around the room. There were some people to try this on.
tab As she formed the hand sign to start it, Inikko began to mold Raiton chakra around herself. The Raiton chakra would act as a medium for the static, being lightning itself. βKuuden.β She said as a wave of miscible chakra filled the area around her. People began to look confused as they looked around. Many of the ninja were poking at their ears, but some of them shook it off quickly and looked toward Inikko. With a salute of guilt, Inikko smiled. This was a training area, they should expect it.
tab Going back to the scrolls, she grabbed a second scroll, Inikko quickly opened to it to reveal a seemingly simple technique. βKiri no Jutsu.β She muttered to herself as she continues to read the scroll. βAn illusion that charges towards an enemy and βexplodes.β Very interestingβ¦β She said as she rolled up the scroll and looked back at the room, seeing if there was anyone the could work on. The issue with learning genjutsu is that you need a target, dummies donβt have senses to affect so you never know if you can actually get results from it.
tab Inikko saw someone in the corner of her eye, she quickly set up her hand sign and spoke. βKiri no Jutsu.β She said as she molded her chakra and shot it toward the unsuspecting individual. In that instant, a clone walked over to the person and βtappedβ them on the shoulder. In that instances, it popped in a cloud of purple flower petals. βA bit quick but it seemed like it worked.β She said as she let out a deep sigh as she looked around. βI think it may be time to start doing things around here. I need some moneyβ¦β She said as she started to walk out of the academy. It was time to go to the mission board and get things done.

Chie returned to the academy. She had been away from the school for too long. The young woman returned to her classroom as she noticed the schedule. Her classes would be empty at this point for recess. Chie organized her notes. She originally had a substitute fill in for her since she was gone for so long. Now that she had returned, however, she was ready to take care of some kids.

Kenta Kuhn [ D-Rank | Genin | Worker | Sensor ] Kenta made it to the gates of the academy after a while of running. He was panting and falling forward with his hands on his knees, gasping for his breath. He looked up and out to the academy. This was where he meant to originally spend his day, but that mission just happened all of a sudden. He would get up and proceed forward. Kenta was determined to get in some serious training today. He pushed himself through the front door and continued through the halls. He knew that Chie was an instructor here, but had no idea where her class was located. As he kept walking through the halls, he eventually came across the room where Chie happened to be. He looked in through the open door and saw her looking at her schedule at her desk. He waved from where we was, but realized she'd never notice him, so he ran forward through the door and came up to Chie. He waved at her again and waited to get some sort of response.

Emiko walked towards the academy after her little detour at the park. Sure she might have missed class for the day but it wouldn't be like anybody would care. She was already behind anyway. What harm could come from falling behind a little more. She pushed the door open as the warm air of the building smacked her in the face as she walked inside. Her feet carried her through the hallways and into the academy room. Her luck seemed to be shining on her since none of the other students were hanging in the halls for her to be picked on by. Out of habit, Emi kept her head down until she got inside. It was there that she saw a familiar face!
M-Mayume! Emiko mentally told herself while spotting the loud and outgoing student in her class. She was practicing or at least trying to look like she was practicing. Her techniques weren't going through all the way and he looked pretty ignorant to the fact. At least she wouldn't be alone in her failings. After a few minutes of staring at Mayume, Emiko stepped forward and gave the student a timid wave. "H-Hi Mayume...Are you practicing techniques too?" She spoke soft, the kind of speaking a child did when it was in trouble of something. Her emerald eyes looked at the child before looking away.
Mayume's legs were aching with stiffness by the time she got done with her little training session. Unfolding her limbs, the dark-haired girl lifted herself up and stretched herself as tall as she could, reaching her hands high up in the air as if reaching for the sky. There was a content look on her face as she brought her arms back down, shifting to one of mild surprise and curiosity when she heard a voice pipe up not too far away from her. The girl turned around and her hazel eyes lit up at the sight of her fellow shinobi and classmate. "Emiko!" She returned the flame-haired girl's greeting with a welcoming smile, nodding in confirmation to the question being directed at her. "Yes I am. Just rehearsing the basics though, nothing fancy." A thoughtful look crossed her features as Mayume briefly regarded the shorter girl. Emiko was giving off a timid vibe, but Mayume couldn't place it, and hoped that it was not because of her. "Ne, Emiko.." She began, her voice somewhere between a question and a statement, but then solidifying into a question. "How far are you with your elemental ninjutsu? I'm just asking because I am at a point that I would need some help on them.. so.. y'know.. I mean. Would you be willing to share some pointers with me?" The young girl felt a bit awkward asking for help for something so basic, but needing some help was a very euphemistic way of saying that Mayume was yet to begin with the elemental ninjutsu. She had recently discovered her chakra elements, but other than that she had absolutely no idea where to go from there.

WRENxxxxxSENJU Wren wandered the halls for what seemed like an eternity looking for a classroom with a teacher who seemed free. He didnt want to impose on anyone, but it seemed like every teacher had at least one or two students occupying their time; some even had full classes. Finally, the boy gave up and settled on whoever was in the next class. Slowly, he opened the door and spoke up in a soft voice, "Um... hello? I'm here to um... I'm here to train... I think."
Chie lifted her head when she heard the boy call out to her. She was surprised to see not only the boy without a headband, but also her little mouse companion. The frantic waving the mute one caused her to internally regret getting so wrapped up in her studies that she was unaware of these kids. "Well, thankfully you came to the right class to learn." Chie said as she moved away from her desk. The young woman then raised her hand as an incantation circle appeared around her hand. With a flick of her wrist the circle molded the handseals she required, and the empty cup of water on her desk filled mystically with water. Chie then reached for glass and took a gulp. "The first trick both of you could learn is the water manipulation technique. It's a basic cantrip which creates water." She said as the woman walked to the window. Chie then opened the window and dumped the water out of the glass. She then moved back at the table and placed it in front of the two boys as she stood behind her desk. "Alright. Take turns learning it." She ordered. This jutsu was essential for water manipulation, and the woman figured they both had the water element. They both seem predisposed to overly polite behavior, which was a very water element thing.

Standing at the academy's edge, Takumi would glance at the facility. It was quaint. He was nothing akin to a sensor ninja but he would feel his sister's presence in this place. It radiated with her direct, warm, yet...harsh nature. He turned to the other two. Taylor seemed to have wandered off to explore of his own already, which was fine. He looked back to Kagami " I have an assignment for you, Kagami." His attention would remain on the building before him as he spoke. " Keep an eye on Taylor. Inform me of any contact he makes with other ninja. I want a detailed report." He was trusting the woman, having seen though her malice, deceitful nature.
With the order given, Takumi would move inside. He would pass by a few academy students, two females. The two seemed be attempting to learn their basics. He observed them for a brief moment, realizing how adept Kagami really was. His pupil was gifted with three affinities at such an early stage in her training as well as advanced water manipulation. It was more notable, seeing the children playing at ninja. Finally, he would locate a small silver haired boy standing in the hall at a doorway. He paused, noting the boy was waving in order to gain someone's attention. "Ah" He said, approaching from behind.
Kenta would feel a hand placed softly upon his silver top. When the boy would look up, Takumi's eyes would meet his. " Sorry boy, I'm afraid I'll be borrowing Miss Saegahara for a moment." He said as he smiled coyly, releasing his hand and moving past the boy and into the room. He would close the door behind him, blocking any evasedropping. " My my, dear sister. Seems you've blossomed into quite the kunoichi beneath mother's wing." His self confidence would seem somewhat strange to the meek child that she had last seen fifteen years prior. He too had grown, far from the comfort of parental guidance.

"Oh?" Emiko replied as Mayume asked if she could help with her elemental ninjutsu. She did have some experience with them but only because of some outside help of a Sunagakure born ninja that must have still been around. "Er, I'm...okay, I guess." She said while looking at the ground for a moment or so. She honestly had no clue on how to really instruct another person, let alone herself. Emi opened her mouth to respectfully decline the offer but there was still a part of her that wanted to help however she could. Her mouth hung agape until eventually Emiko gave a nod. "Okay. I can try I guess. It's pretty easy...Not that you can't do it! I just found it, y'know..." A bit of an awkward silence later, the student let out a sigh and began.
"First, uh, I guess you should try and tell me what you want to learn." She said before an academy teacher stepped inside the room. She motioned for Mayume to follow and went over to the teacher. "Excuse me! W-We needed some help learning ninjutsu..."
Seeing the other girl's hesitation made Mayume doubt if asking for pointers had been a good idea after all. But, Mayume was a patient girl and she enjoyed Emiko's company. She looked forward to spending more time with her, and hoped that learning jutsu together would help their budding friendship along. A presence tugged at her senses, but it was gone before she could properly register it. The girl figured that the academy building should be a safe enough space that it shouldn't be an issue. Turning her attention back to Emiko, Mayume felt relieved when the shorter girl agreed "Great, thank you!"
She listened quietly while the flame-haired girl spoke, nodding in understanding. It was not easy to teach others, but Mayume was confident that Emiko had it in her. In hindsight, she should have expected the question. As she hadn't, Emiko's question caught her off guard, and she let out a soft "Uhm.." in response. She was about to say that it would be cool to see how Emiko did it, and that she could maybe try to copy it, but she realized that she didn't really know what she meant by 'it', so she kept quiet. Thankfully, Emiko saved her by approaching an academy teacher, and Mayume was more than happy to follow her along, nodding her head in support of what Emiko was saying.

__ Takumi ordered Kagami to keep an eye on Taylor, who he contacts, and any of his other activities within the Whirlpool Village. That was probably a sound idea on Takumi's part given how crazy and unpredictable this bird boy seemed to be. At the same time, she wanted to meet his sister and was curious about why he wanted to send her away. In any case, she figured that keeping an eye on Taylor might keep them out of trouble with the village and build trust between her and Takumi. She left the academy to follow after Taylor.

Kenta Kuhn [ D-Rank | Genin | Worker | Sensor ] Something like this was exactly the speed Kenta needed to learn at at first. He didn't know any but one ninjutsu and this seemed like one of the most useful techniques he could learn for future use. Kenta formed a single handseal as he prepared his chakra. He then cupped his hands and concentrated as hard as he could on the technique. He manipulated the flow of his chakra to pull moisture in the air from around his hands into the makeshift bowl of his palms. It wasn't a lot of water, but Kenta gulped it up and smile. He had the hang of it rather quickly and he'd definitely give it some more practice later to make larger quantities of water.

Mizu Soujuu [ Water Manipulation ] Rank: X [learned as E] Official Description: This involves learning basic manipulation of the properties of water. Boiling, and pressurization of water are included in these studies. Boiling includes the creation of steam by further putting chakra into the water. The user cannot perform these tasks on larger bodies of water with this basic study alone. Furthermore, by learning to draw water from the moisture in the air, the shinobi can use water techniques without requiring a source of water nearby (unless stated otherwise.) A Kage level jutsu always requires a water source, even if the Mist-nin in question creates it first. Guild Description: In this technique, X determines the amount of water to be created. At E-rank, about a gallon of water is gathered, and the amount quadruples with each rank after, capping out at about one-thousand [1000] gallons at S rank [enough to fill a small pool]. Learning this technique also reduces the cost of Formless manipulation by five [5] chakra, to a minimum of five [5].

WRENxxxxxSENJU Water manipulation was a trivial task for Wren. From the time he could walk, he was drilled on the basics needed to begin learning the clan techniques. The only issue was, Wren was too insecure to inform Chie that he already possessed this knowledge; it was far easier to just go with the flow and move go along with the lesson. After a few quick and steady hand seals, Wren held out his palm in front of him. From around his arm snaked a stream of water, forming seemingly from nothing, and taking shape into a small ball in his palm. A wide, cheerful grin quickly grew across the boy's face at his apparent triumph. Wren would offer himself a silent congratulations in the form of fist pump; unfortunately this would only serve to break his focus on the jutsu. As the water crashed to the floor at his feet, Wren would simply wince and look away, shutting his eyes to blind himself to whatever horrific punishment lay in store.
