Character name: Kaylee Inuzuka Name of bloodline: Inuzuka Bloodlines to be removed from: If Jenna Yukki was on any, yes. c: Adding or replacing: Adding a bloodline to a new character
What do you know about it?: I've only really seen the original Naruto, but like Kiba, you fight alongside a pet, who shares the same skills and attacks as you and can fight by your side, like you're both combined! They are able to properly communicate with these animals, even thought the animals are incapable of human speech. By applying chakra to there noses, they can power up there sense of smell, and there detection skills rise in power, even one long distances away. They rely mostly on speed, strength, and agility. (Side question: I notice they have only really ever used dogs, are we allowed to use other animals as well?)

Character name: Koutetsu Kajibamaru Name of bloodline: Koton: Steel Release Bloodlines to be removed from: N/A Adding or replacing: Adding
What do you know about it?: Given very few demonstrations of its capacity through different formats, it is difficult for me to claim any knowledge related to it beyond what is shown in the Kekkei Genkai section.
That said, my understanding is that the appearance of releasing the steel from the body is similar to Corpse Bone Pulse. However, Utilizing Iron found within the body as well as using iron deposits found elsewhere. While it does not seem to harm the user, they are still affected by the weight of the metal. The mechanics of the system provided make it clear that it has incredible defensive capabilities such as removing strengths and weaknesses of element while simultaneously increasing the fortitude of techniques and items. Effectively making the individual a walking tank.
While I am not attempting to apply for the Combo Kekkei Genkai, I would note some similarities to Jiton: Magnetic release in the use of metallic objects and the benefits of combining with an easy source of production in the form of Koton as it would likely bypass Satetsu users inability to use metal composed from the human body. EDIT: Another interesting connection might be that of Seiton: Rust release. Seiton requiring a weapon with a bond in order to gather the needed flakes. Given that Koton may be used to form a weapon and it being metal directly from the person, one may loosely ascertain there is sufficient history to form appropriate Metal flakes from any Koton creation that stems from the body.
I am applying prior to putting up the profile in the approval section as I do require a few answers regarding mechanics to complete my understanding of Steel Release as my character concept was formed entirely from the idea of using this bloodline.
Query 1: How do the Following two mechanics function in conjunction?
from: Koton: Steel Release "β’ The clan's black steel counts as heavy armor when being worn and unaffected by additional techniques."
Bukijutsu class Discipline: "Juggernaut: The user suffers no drawbacks of any kind when wearing very light and light armor at D-Rank, medium armor at C-Rank, heavy armor at B-Rank, and all other armors at A-Rank. They receive one free custom weapon or armor upon creation and gain a moderate boost to strength and fortitude. Additionally, they start with the following four techniques, rather than the six most ninja do: Bushi Ken no Jutsu [ Samurai Sabre Technique ], Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ], Kai [ Release ], and Kawarimi no Jutsu [ Substitution Technique ]."
My understanding: Jutsu that affect armor, the raising or lowering of Armor classification cannot apply to Koton (Additional Koton techniques do not raise the armor rating either). However, the Discipline provides a passive benefit to erase the stamina strain and other negative functions of using heavy armor (This of course only applies at B-rank or above and is fully applied otherwise. Further noting : "β’ User's suffer a slight reduction to speed for every limb augmented with their black steel, resulting in a supreme reduction for full body. " still applies as it is separate from the armor function).
Query 2: While it provides passive protection at its rank, does the usage of the armor require said rank to obtain? Assuming one has the stamina to make use of it?
From: Rules of Armor: "β’ Heavy Armor: B-Rank, -160 Stamina, range of movement techniques decreased by 50%, no descriptive ranks may affect speed while worn for a set. Heavy armor prioritizes protection over all else, has few openings, and is generally very hard to bypass."
Query 3: Using the following techniques of Koton and rules of armor presented above and below. If one were in non-armored clothing and were to use Black Steel Manipulation and Steel Release: Impervious armor at E-rank, what would be the stamina cost for heavy armor on a finger? That is assuming that the wording of Steel Release: Impervious armor, " This black steel flesh may cover only a single limb or the entire body, depending on the application. " does not imply D-rank usage or above only. Would it be -40?
From: Rules of Armor: "β’ Mixed Armor: Mixing armor of different types results in their defensive properties only affecting the area they're worn on. Movement penalties are treated as the highest armor type present, and a quarter of the Stamina pool reductions are applied for each armor piece of a given tier. Helmets do not contribute to movement or Stamina pool reductions, but do limit the wearer's field of vision and range of hearing. (Ex.: Wearing a heavy armor chest piece, medium armor arm guards, and light armor shin guards results in the movement penalty for heavy armor along with a Stamina pool reduction of 100 Stamina. Wearing all medium instead would result in a reduction of 80 Stamina and the medium armor movement penalties, as listed above.)"
From Koton: " KΕton Jutsu: Black Steel Manipulation β’Rank - X β’ This control allows the Black Steel user to create and or bend metal they have created freely while holding a single hand seal. Black Steel created this way can then be used on the spot, or left dormant for a later time but must be formed by extending off of the user's body. Smaller items can be made at a higher rank while retaining their effective ranking. ___ Rank E: Very small steel. ( A finger, etc ) ___ Rank D: Small steel. ( An arm, etc ) ___ Rank C: Medium steel. ( A torso, etc ) ___ Rank B: Large steel. ( A vehicle, boulder, etc ) ___ Rank A: Enormous steel. ( A small-medium building, etc ) ___ Rank S: Massive steel. ( A large building, skyscraper, etc )
Steel Release: Impervious Armour β’Rank - X β’ The user manipulates their chakra to convert their flesh to black steel. This black steel flesh may cover only a single limb or the entire body, depending on the application. Due to it's chakra based nature, the armor treats complex techniques as simple techniques. Once broken, requires the Reinforcement technique to repair."
Query 4: how does the usage of Earth Clone combined with Iron Lord work? Is the clone only capable of performing Koton techniques? Doton? or are all doton techniques for the clone treated as Koton as well, assuming additional chakra was given to allow it to use jutsu?
Clone usage rules state:"β’ Unless otherwise stated, elemental clones cannot perform elemental jutsu other thaen their element."
Koton: Steel Release Optional PA: "β’ [ Optional ] Iron Lord: The user is able to give the Black Steel properties to all Doton techniques they perform, giving them the appearance of black steel upon creation. Those earth release techniques lose their elemental weaknesses and strengths."
Doton clone: "Doton Bunshin no Jutsu [ Earth Clone Skill ] Rank: E Official Description: This jutsu creates one single clone out of the ground. Its fortitude is incredible, and it's very powerful, but lacks speed. Two hits will destroy the bunshin. Guild Description: After using the appropriate handsigns, see the official description. Clone acts as D rank in Fortitude and Strength, but is only E rank in Speed and Reflexes."
I apologize if questions are intended to go elsewhere, but I felt that understanding these were integral to knowing how to operate as a Steel Release user and given there are none currently listed, I could not ask a current member.

duckmasta 1) Koton Armor once created / worn may not be altered further by Koton techniques. It otherwise functions normally within the armor system so Juggernaut would eliminate penalties in accordance with your body rank. Yes, the penalties from skin augmenting still apply because that is a technique and not worn armor. 2) Armor is not rank restricted, so it may used so long as you can handle the stamina requirement 3) It would still count as heavy armor and since clothing is not counted as armor but were you to wear it with other armor yes the penalty would be -40. 4) The clone would be made of black steal and could perform koton techs or other altered doton techniques. You're also approved if you still want the bloodline.
