Waaayyy backdated.... sweatdrop Amirynth Ora wonders into the park bundled up to the chin in coats and scarves. While he wasn't quite sure why he opted into going to the cold snow he knew there would be good food and though it would be worth it. Looking around for somewhere to huddle until others showed up, the dragon decided to meander towards said food. One cauldren steamed in the cold and attracted his attention. Sniffing the steam and tasteing it with a few flicks of his tounge, Ora identified the apples but couldn't work out the twist. With a shrug he decided to try the apple cider anyways.
The first sip almost burnt his tounge. Wow it was hot! Blowing on the steaming cup however soon cooled it down to drinkable levels and he liked the way the hot apple drink warmed him up and vowed to shair the news when everyone was around. With a second cup of cider in hand he wandered over to the swings nearby and sat on one, lazily swaying to and fro and enjoying his warming drink. Zero Dream Nice and warm in his coat and boots (but having already lost the gloves to some messy corner of his room), Akoni made his way toward the mysterious tent with Ty following. Today was the big day... maybe ? The young gila monster wasn't the best with dates. Anyway there was a tent that hadn't been there the day before, and it was enough to warrent exploration.
He peeked into the tent and saw a whole lot of yummy things ! And the smells... oh, the smells ! His tail wagged at an incredible speed as he made his way directly torward the table with the hot chocolate. This was drawing him in most of all, and it was a good thing because he was starting to get a bit cold. Nessylove Forlornly, a young girl sat on the edge of the fountain, scanning the area with large red eyes. She didn't really know anyone, but was nervously eager to do so. With one hand out, she brushed over the snow. It was one of her favorite things.
As the two boys entered the park, she slowly stood up, brushing off her skirt and smiling shyly. Perhpas they would come over here? What if they didn't?
Fingering the small beads of mistletoe in her hair, the Mistletoe Rosin stepped onto the path, putting herself out there. Zero Dream After serving himself a cup of hot, chocolatey goodness, most of Akoni's focus went to drinking said cup and savoring the taste. Hmm, perfect !
As he did so, Ty sniffed around and, upon catching an unusual smell, the dog slowly padded his way to the mistletoe girl, sniffing at the base of her dress, tail wagging.
It took a moment for Akoni to notice that his trusty companion was gone, and a look around to notice the girl. Grinning from ear to ear, the little gila took another cup full of hot chocolate and went her way.
"Hello ! Want some hot chocolate ?" He asked, tail wagging at the same speed than the dog's did as he held the cup toward her. "Don't let Ty scare you, he's nice and he like people. Im Akoni, you are ?" Nessylove The smile was quick and delighted, as the green-haired girl lightly patted the head of the dog, scritching his ears. "Thank you for the offer, I'd love to go get some if you will come with me!" It was someone new, new people were always good! Wasn't that the point of this dinner?
It didn't hurt that this was her favorite holiday, either.
"I'm Lihanma. You can call me Li if my full name is too much!" Stamping her feet lightly to keep the snow off, she entered the warm tent with the first person she'd met. Well. First Rosin, at least. The Nameless One had been there, and a few Constructs she'd had to meet.
"Don't you just love this time of year? It's so beautiful outside!" Though she did make sure to step wide of the copse of mistletoe. It may be her plant, but she had NO desire to be caught up in the symbolism. Zero Dream Thanksfully so, in fact, since, clueless as he was, Akoni waltzed right under the mistletoe without giving a second thought about why the plant was hung there. He didn't know what the plant was, and knew even less about it's meaning.
"It's really really cold and I get really sleepy if I stay outside too long." The gila mused, leading his first friend to the table where the hot chocolate rested. "But I made a snowman and that was really fun !" He grinned, as the golden retriever followed the kids loyaly. "And I made a gift for someone, I hope the person will like it..." This seemed to be his biggest worry. Amirynth It was then he spotted other rosen entering in the tents. Ora hopped off the swing and headed back into the tents, happy to stay inside now there were others in there. His stomach growled slightly at the though of the roast so he figured he would grab a plate of meat and then go meet the others. Shuffeling his feet to knock the snow off them the dragon meandered to the tables and grabed himself a plate. Feeling shy all of a sudden he hung back and watched the two as they chattered. Nessylove "It gets a little hard to move if I stand in one place for long, but for the most part, I love the snow!" Her enthusiasm was showing as she sipped at a large mug of the chocolatey goodness. Had to be careful though, too warm, and she'd start to wilt. That was never good.
"A gift? What kind of gift?" She'd never gotten a gift. That was an interesting prospective, and she wondered in passing who it could possibly be. And would she get to meet this person?
Hmmm...
A bit distracted by her surroundings, she noticed the other boy was there as well now. Well. She was a bit braver. Now, that is. Stepping a bit to the side so as to open up their little chat, she made it clear she wouldn't mind extra company. Amirynth Ora noticed the other girl looking his way. Picking up his drink he glanced at it, noticing it was mostly empty. The dragon steped forward with a bit of a smile before almost stunbling over the corner of the table. A slight grimice swept over his face as he righted himself and then looked embarissingly at the other rosen to see if they noticed. Making his way safely past the rest of the table, Ora filled in the space that she had left open and nodded a greeting, listening to what they were chatting about. He recognized the gift part of the conversation but kept his mouth shut as the letter had said not to tell anyone and spoil the secret. Zero Dream "I can't say~" He answered, looking oh-so-very-serious. "It's a secret. That's why they call it a Secret Santa, you see ? No one can know until the presents are given." He shrugged. "It's a person I never met, so im a bit worried. I could make you a present, too, if you want !"
Noticing the other boy finally, Akoni finished his hot chocolate in one glup and started to wave. "Hello !" Amirynth Ora waved back with a smile. "Hullo!" The dragon paused, thinking of something to talk about that didn't involve presents. He didn't want to accidentally give his away. "Did you like snow? It very cold and wet but Ora likes a little. Looks pretty." He smiled again as he leaned back, using his tail like a third leg. He was really enjoying the food too but it looked like they had just sampled the drinks for now and he wasnt quite sure they would like the same things as him; the plant-looking girl especially so. The other lizard might though and he pondered upon that for a moment.

Ora wandered into the mall wrapped up in a dark green bedsheet. His broad shoulders rippled as his newfound strength showed through his lythe movements and his tail swayed to and fro with every step. He felt a little self concious with the loose cloth pinned up around his muscular shoulders but what was a dragon to do? Peering through the windows he looked for a shop that had the style of clothed that he liked.
Akoni needed to get dog food. And... a few others things that eluded his mind at the moment, to be honest. Colored pencils, maybe ? No, no... No need for modeling clay either. What was it then ?
"Hnnn...." The little gila was trying to focus, really. It wasn't working too well. He had left Ty at the entrance of the mail and stepped inside a few minutes ago, but was now walking in circles, so to speak. As always, a random sound completely snapped up his attention, and he wound up finding himself into a clothing store to investigate. And there he saw... A giant in a bedsheet ? There was a sense of familiarity, but... Nnn. In a lack of anything else to do, the curious little lizard walked up to Ora. He was so tall. Did he even see him ?
"Why are you wearing a bedsheet ?" He asked innocently with a raised eyebrow.
Ora looked down at the gila monster and scrunched up his nose as a memory flittered through. After finding clothes for himself he was going to have to get some food and drink for his headache that was developing, Man growing up was surely hard to do. A name came to the dragons mind and he smiled, "Well hello Akoni. How are you this fine morning." Not only had the dragon grown but he also seemed to speek a lot better then he used to also. He didn't allude to why he was wearing a bedsheet hoping that skirting the question would mean it would be forgotten as he wasn't quite sure himself why all his clothes had dissapeared.
Thankfully for Ora, this is exactly what happened. The gila's one track mind had already forgotten about the question as soon as another had popped up in his mind. That person knew him... Did that mean he knew him too ? One could almost hear the little gears running in Akoni's mind.
"'m fine, really, I came for dog food and some other things but I forgot what else I needed and- Uh, Ora ?!" Finally ! Of course ! Brownish and scaly meant Ora, duh !
"Whoa ! How did you get so tall ?!?" Akoni was very impressed indeed.
Lahhhhdedahhhh....what a boring day! Lihanma had figured that if she had left the park, and her room, she might find something interesting. The mall was certainly interesting, but it was only full of contstructs. She wanted something more stimulating. Where were the other Rosin?
The mistletoe girl was nibbling thoughtfully at a warm pretzel, when she rounded a corner and nearly banged right into two slightly familiar faces. She'd seen them at Christmastime, hadn't she? When she had first come out of her room?
Well at least she had found..oh my god. "Oh my God! What are you...oh god." What the heck was going on?! He wasn't wearing anything!!!
Dylan paced his room for awhile. Where were they??? He couldn't finish his designs if without them! When the sea slug finally found the colored pencils, they were nothing left but knobs and ends. He would have to get more.
The boy resigned to the fact that he would have to leave. He rarely left his room of late, preferring the company of his inventions and mechanics. Well, today would have to be the day....
Dylan went to the mall, opening the wide doors, and walking around. He rarely came, so never remembered where anything was. So, it was trial and error. The sea slug went around, looking in windows to find the elusive one with his precious colored pencils. It was then that he noticed the small group. At first, he was reluctant to approach... but, if he wanted to get out of here soon he'd most likely have to ask for some help.
"Excuse me...." the boy interrupted, without even bothering to hear their conversation. "Might any of you know where I can get---" His eye lingered on the teen in the bedsheet. He arched a brow, why was this guy in a bedsheet?
Well now the cat was out of the bag. "I am so too wearing something!" The dragon tried to think quickly and found he was able to for once. He gestured towards the bedsheet that covered all the necissary parts and grinned "This is a traditional robe of the Greeks... umm... I read about it somewhere." He faltered trying to come up with something intelligent to say. As if to change the subject he turned back to the gilla and nodded. "I grew up yesterday night it seems. It's wierd and itchy but kinda cool." He caught himself unconsiously scratching his arm again, it wouldn't do to be pulling his molt off in company. It was then he noticed the new member to their little gathering. "Hey!..." He had to think for a moment before realizing who he was, "...Dylan, how did you like your christmas present?"
It looked like he was about to flash someone. And she told him so. "You look like you're about to do something indecent...what happened to your other clothes?" She much preferred him in his normal clothing. If she could remember what it looked like.
"I grew up yesterday night, it seems." Oh. Well. That explained something. "Congratulations on your advancing age." Was that a suitable response? Lihanma didn't really know much about interacting with others yet, so she was still overly formal and more than a little rude sometimes.
This proved interesting. Maybe she should follow them until she had to go to the greenhouse.
Hmmm. "I wanna be tall too." Akoni announced, before his attention diverted to the two newcomers. "Li !!! Hey !" He gave the mistletoe girl a wide grin, before turning to the blue and white boy. How... odd ? "Can get the what ?"
Dylan decided maybe he should have listened a little more. He watched for awhile, drawing conclusions from what the big guy was saying. It was then that the spotted one spoke to him. The boy literally shook his head to clear it. "Oh, I am looking for supplies... colored pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and the like. Would you happen to know where they are?"
"Well that's why I am here, I need to find something a little more suitable to wear." He looked around and saw t-shirts and pants close by and wondered how he was going to go about trying on clothing with everyone around. At the green girl's congratulations he smiled, "Why thank you, I hope it'll be as fun as it was when I was a kid." Turning to Akoni he grinned, "I'm sure you'll grow up soon, I remember when Krait grew up in the library, it was one of my first days awake and I was so worried he was sick... but then I was very sleepy so maybe it's the same thing..." He pondered upon that for a moment.
"Oh, yeah, yeah, I know that !" Akoni grinned, his tail wagging. As much as the little gila's attention span was sometimes lacking, he loved to help ! "You're in the wrong store, this one sells clothing. You need to go to the recreation store. The art supplies are in the back so don't let the skateboards throw you off or anything. Hm..." He tapped his head, as if it would help him remember. "About, uh.... 3 or 4 shop ahead, I think. Just keep going to the left, it says Recreation Store on the front..."
Dylan frowned a little bit. Yes, he knew this was a clothing store, he had only come here for the others that he saw to see if they had any ideas where the others were. Hearing that they were in with the skateboards made his eyes flash with exasperation. Why would they do that, hide away supplies he needed. "Thanks," he mumbled.
He sighed and looked around. Well, there were some new clothes he needed anyways. One of his experiments had completely decimated one of his work shirts, even though he sewed on leather protection. Fact of the matter was, he needed a new shirt... and then he needed to go by some leather as well.
The white and blue one didn't seem to be too happy... Maybe he hadn't been clear enough ? But he hadn't asked for more. Uh. The rhythm of his tail wagging slowed as the doubt entered his mind, and Akoni began to look around himself. Some new clothes might not hurt... And while he did not realize it, it was exactly what he had forgotten.
Dylan saw the emotions change in the spotty creature, just by seeing the slowing wag. With a deep breath, the boy released it. Maybe he might as well be a bit polite, maybe even social. "I'm Dylan." He nodded a great and then walked off a little bit to go look at shirts. He would bee gloves too, now that he thought of it.
Ora saw the other's looking around and nodded to himself, he doubted they would mind if he took a look at a few shirts. Brwosing through one of the stacks he came across a dark blue one, "Hey this one looks like it's work for ya, Dylan." He pulled it off the shelf and showed it to him. Right next door to it he spotted a dark red one, "Got one here for you too Akoni..." He wondered if he would find one for him too if he just looked a little further and sure enough he was in luck. A dark green one would be just perfect... now he just needed pants and he'd be somewhat dresses for now.
"'m Akoni." He answered a bit absentmindedly (and also a bit late) as he had been trying to make out where the shoes where. His sendals where starting to be a bit worn out.
Thankfully, his mood seemed to improve rapidly, as the tail gained in speed. Akoni walked down the aisle to peek at the other, but looked up as Ora spoke. He usually liked brighter reds, but it did look nice. "It does look great, thanks !" He grinned, taking the shirt. "There's bigger things over there, Ora..." He said, pointing at the other side.
Dylan gave the tale, scaly one a look of interest. He thought that maybe this one enjoyed color-coordination. After consideration, the boy thought maybe that wasn't so bad an idea. Walking over, he gabbed the shirt and looked over it. It was soft to the touch, but the threading was not too thin.
"Yes, this one does seem a little too small." he chuckled as he held it up to his chest and relized he was in the wrong section of sizes. "Hmmm..." wandering into the direction that the gilla monster pointed he looked around and, after some serching, managed to find another dark green t-shirt. "Ahh this looks like it's a much better size." He looked around for pants and found a pair that looked comfortable. "I probably should go try them on..." He mentioned as he looked for the changing rooms. It was time to take off the sheet.
Akoni wasn't really listening anymore, really, his attention to the alleys as he tried to find what he looked for. Sandals, or at least shoes, before those he wore all the time would give out on him. Walking around bare-footed was fun sometimes, but not always. His tail wagging (and knocking a few socks off the shelf in the process), he continued to explore.
Having just slipped out of one store Mackenzie was humming along to her cd player. Her hair like normal was down around her face. With her backwards white cap she adjust her white jacket as well as her white crop top.
Her baggy jeans were at her waist as she walk, slipping into the store the other rosin were in she looks around before heading right to the shoes. She wasn't a fan of girls shows, she like her skater shoes. Dropping her bags down she place her hands on her hips as she looks over the shoes.
She hadn't really notice the other rosin otherwise she would have covered herself up rather quickly.
Akoni continued his journey trough the store, going trough a very weird section with very weird things with cups on them (later he would realize there where bras, but right now the boy was perfectly innocent) and trough more shirts... to finally find shoes ! Yay ! Mission accomplished ! Oh, and there was someone there, ever better !
"Hi miss !" He announced himself quite cheerfully.
Ora had just found where the dressing rooms where and he head over towards them. He happened to pass by the scorpion girl that he had met once and wondered if she would recognize him. He made his way over there before remembering what he was doing. Chuckeling to himself the dragon turned and made his way back towards the dressing rooms, he'd go talk to her after he put on a little more clothing.
Hearing another voice Mackenzie removes her headphone looking towards the boy, with a smile she nods "Hey wassup?" she was actually in a cheerful mood for one. Looking the young one over she was trying to figure out if she knew him or not, he didn't seem familiar to her "I'm Mackenzie, but everyone calls me Mack." turning her cd player off she places it along with her headphones into her back pocket.
She didn't want to be rude after all he did say hi to her. He didn't run away, so that was a good sign.
"'m Akoni." The gila answered with a bright smile. She liked music too ! She was the only one he had seen with a cd player so far. He had left his' at home this time. That reminded him that he had wanted to pick up a cd on the way, maybe. Hey ! Everything was coming back bit per bit. Maybe he wouldn't forget anything... for once.
"Glad to see you~ How are you today ?" He peered around to the shelves, spotting a pair of sandals to try out.
Ora safely found his way to the dressing room before getting changed and making his way back to the others. He felt a lot better now he was dressed in traditional clothing. Picking his way through the shelves of clothes he spotted Akoni chatting with the scorpion girl. The komodo couldn't quite remember her name but he was sure it would come to him when he talked to her. With a wave he greeted the girl. "Heya, looking for shoes? I've seen a lot of people in the mall today, usually it's pretty quiet."
Mack smiles before she hears another voice, turning she arches a brow "Fairly well Akoni, shopping." pausing she tilts her head smiling to the other teen "Yea shopping for shoes, need a few new pairs." pausing she shakes her head trying to figure out if she knew this older rosin.
Placing her hand out she smiles "Hi I'm Mackenzie, everyone calls me Mack though. Nice clothes by the way." turning slightly she takes a small step back just so that she didn't leave Akoni out of the conversation.
Akoni picked up the pairs of sandals from the shelf. "I need new shoes too, my sandals are wearing off, that tumble I took on my board didn't help." He frowned a bit at the memory. "Landed on my feet at least." He left out the part where he had lost balance and scraped his knee out of the conversation, neither teens needed to know that. He didn't want to look like a crybaby.
Sitting down, he kicked the old sandals off, and tried the new pair on, content to listen to what the two would say to each other now. It was the first time he had been relatively alone with two people older than he was, and while it did not make him nervous really, he still felt the need not to look just like a little dumb kid, so he was doing his best to stay focused on the conversation. It was hard.
"Thanks, I just picked them out." He looked down at them and smoothed out his t-shirt before pausing as the name sank in. Mack...? Oh wow... you've grown too!" Ora could hardly believe his eyes when he saw her with new rememberance. "I hardly recognized you at a glance. It's Ora, do ya remember?" Even his speech manarisms had grown up with him and he had lost his tendency to speek in third person but it was his size that really made the differance as he now towered over the scorpion girl.
Mackenzie's eyes widen slightly as she looks up at Ora, he wasn't a child anymore that was for sure. Smiling she chuckles "Wow Ora your taller then me that for sure." looking down at herself she shrugs "Yea it seem growing for a girl means we also change body wise. I didn't like it at first but now I'm use to it." glancing over at Akoni she chuckles "Sandals? Hmm I might have to get myself a pair, those look pretty nice." turning she kneels looking over the sandals to see if she could find a pair in her size.
She was mostly trying to act confident, only because she wanted to hide her body now. Even though she was use to her look, it didn't mean she wanted other to knwo she had grown.
The sandals did fit pretty nicely. He turned his feet in circles before getting up from the bench, looking almost like one of those garden gnomes next to Ora.
He walked next to Mack, glancing at the sandals she was watching at. "Those ones maybe ?" He pointed at a nice black and red pair. It seemed like she liked those colors, so...
"You look really... pretty..." Ora blushed slightly as he spoke before looking down to the sandels, trying to find a pair for himself to divert his thoughts. The dragon was kind of embaressed with his observation. He wasn't used to seeing girls in this light but something about the way his mind was working now...
He shook his head slightly as if to clear his thoughts before studying the sandles that Akoni had found. "Yeah, they do look pretty cool, they match really well." He nodded with a grin to the gilla monster, "That's a good find."
Looking to Akoni she chuckles "I think you are right." pulling the sandals off the shelf she kicks her shoes off before slipping the sandals on. She was trying to hide the blushing that form on her cheeks from being called pretty. She wasn't use to that no matter how many times someone said that to her.
Looking up at Ora she tilts her her head licking at her dry lip for a moment "What do you think? Do they suit me?" looking back down at her feet she smiles. Akoni had actually found a pair she like.
"Yeah !" The little gila grinned, tail wagging back in forth very quickly with happiness. She liked them ! "Looks great, Mack !"
Akoni was happy with himself indeed. He always liked to be helpful, and as much as his hyperness could sometime get in the way, it seemed to be working out great today.
Ora nodded with a smile, "Yes, they suit Mack just perfectly." He found a servicable pair of sandals and put them on. They were dark blue and felt wierd because he much prefered to go around barefoot but these seemed to be designed for feet such as him which, after he though about it, didn't seem to wierd considering the other types or rosen there were. Wiggiling his toes against the soles of the sandals he nodded towards Akoni, "Good find! I should let you pick out my clothes too" He grinned all friendly-like happy that things were going much better now.
Dylan stayed behind the racks of clothes and watched everyone go over to the shoes. He stayed behind a little but then eventually went over, seeing the new arrival. The little slug didn't have to wait long to learn her name.
Still holding the blue shirt, he approached and looked down at the shows. With a sideways smirk, Dylan noticed everyone was seeing how the apparatuses worked for them, "Seems they fit." So, that maybe wasn't the best thing to say, but he had said it.
Standing Mack wiggles her own toes alittle before glancing over to the newcomer, with a smile she nods. Slipping the sandals off she slips her own shoes back on "I'll have to find an outfit later on that will work with them." placing the sandals into the bag she leans against thr fixture.
To her surprise she wasn't freaking out with this many people around her, she was rather calm and enjoying herself.
Akoni grinned again, happy as a little boy could be, until he suddenly remembered something very important.
Ty was waiting outside still ! And he still needed some dog food.
"Sorry, gotta go !" He let out to his new friends as he made a beeline for the door. "See you all around !!"

MYSTERY! CHAOS! MADNESS! :: 1 - The awakening It was late at night, and of course, both Akoni and Ty where asleep, not on the bed but in a corner where pillows and sheets had been pilled up to make a makeshift fort. Master and dog slept peacefully there, huddled up one against the other, the gila's tail wagging back and forth slowly, overall slowly making the front wall of the "fort" threaten to fall over. KABOOOOM!Akoni almost jumped out of his scales at the loud sound, and Ty panicked, as he started barking and howling as loud as he could manage, all the while moving to the front as if to protect his young charge from whatever had caused the sound. Akoni got up, stumbled in the pack of sheets and felt face first on the floor, He winced at the pain, but stumbled up to hit the light switch. Nothing. No matter how many times he turned it on and off, back and forth, no light would come. He could hear the other children panic as well, and an hand found it's way to Ty's collar, grappling it hard for comfort and to make sure the dog would not get lost in the darkness. The other hand went to pet the top of his head, as Akoni crouched down and huddeled himself beside the now adult dog, and Ty slowly began to calm down once he saw that his master was unharmed in this sea of sounds and stimulus. After a moment, Akoni found his courage, and opened the door to look outside...

MYSTERY! CHAOS! MADNESS! :: 2 - The development house O_O!
Despite his wish to avoid keeping the others waiting, Yukiko had completly lost track of time with the arrival of his new companion, Snow. He didn't notice the setting of the sun behind his lacy curtains as night crept upon the city, he and his new friend silently chatting, getting to know eachother through their mental bond.
Yuki plucked at his pants in annoyance and glanced back towards his closet where the dress he had seen earlier was hanging. Reluctantly rising from his place on the bed he decided to change into something cooler for when he returned to his friends, taking the little sundress from its hanger he draped it over his small frame and smoothed the skirt over his hips. He glanced briefly to window and blinked at the darkness that looked back. Where had the time gone!? He should have left his room a ages ago! Silently he cursed as he called Snow to his side. At least he had somewhat of an excuse... all be it a lame one. He turned to head out the door when it hit.
KABOOOOM!
The development house shook with an unknown force, sending Yuki stumbling back to fall on his backside and plunged into darkness. He uttered a soft gasp as a furry creature pressed firmly against his side. "S...snow?" He whispered and reached out, clinging tightly to the warm wolf cub.
"Hold onto me, I'll lead you down." Unlike Yuki, Snow was at home in the dark, his keen eyes making out the objects around him. Yukiko nodded and with one hand on Snow's back, stood and was lead from the room, his destination the playground. He hoped his friends were still there... The blast shook the development house and frightened Marisole. Her new plant pot teetered uneasily on the edge of her night stand but didnt fall. She pushed it back and stood absolutly still for a moment. If there was going to be another blast she wanted to be prepared for it.
There wasnt. She wanted to hide under her bed, where it was warm and safe and nothign could ever get her. But then she thought that maybe the loud sound was the building about to fall down. She decided that she should go away from the building, incase it did fall. Before she left she took her plant seeds with her, even if the pot, which she liked an awfull lot broke, at least she could still have the seeds. Very slowly and deliberatly she headed to the play ground. Thankfully for Akoni, after the initial shock had passed, he found that he could see somewhat decently in the pitch darkness. Decently being at he could at least make out the outlines of things. Thus, he saw moth Yukito and Marisole on their way out as he finally peeked out his door, one hand clamped on Ty's collar as he, too, started to make his way out. He didn't really care that he was only wearing his pjs at the moment.
"Guys ? What happened ?" He asked out loud, steering himself and the dog toward the two figures he could make out.Marisole didn't know the Rosin who was speaking to her, but after the fright she'd just gotten she didnt really care. She hurried over to him and shook her head letting her thick strands hall infront of her face.
"Dunno" she said from behind her hair. Then, as an after thought "are you... okay?" She saw lightly colored boy...what was his name? Yukkiko? What ever. She noticed that both of the other two Rosin had dogs with them, she wondered if she was supposed to have a dog as well. "Im fine. What about you two ? Maybe ill't be safer to get out of here." He caught the unmoving Nanny construct out of the corner of his field of vision, the outline perfectly still whereas the construct would usually have started moving as soon as they had come inside. "Nothing's working... Im scared..." He muttered to himself.
Likewise, Ty replied with a sniff of his own. The golden retriever didn't seem to consider Snow a threat at all and thus gave no sign of aggressiveness. The canine gave a thug to the arm that was holding his collar, as if agreeing with his master.Yukiko nodded his agreement and looked around in the shadows. The bright friendly home that he had been welcomed to now seemed dark and gloomy where anything could be lurking in the shadows. "Nothing's working at all?" Outside was begining to sound better and better.
Snow looked up at his master and gave a soft whine, sensing Yuki's distress. "Yes.. outside sounds good. Maybe someone else will be out there too." He said in a frightened whisper. Marisole was against doing anything and everything adventerous on principle. However, she quickly considered the possiblity that there could be something terribly wrong with the Development house. She looked at the other two Rosin and gently touched the packets of seeds in her pocket. She had never been anywhere else that wasn't the Development House... but maybe...
"Should we maybe go...look? For others?" She asked "Maybe....someone else will know...what's wrong""Maybe..." The gila monster answered, tail laid low in the darkness as he squinted at the hall, trying to see if someone else was coming out of his room. "...Can't see much... Maybe the others are already outside ? Can't see anything moving."Ora had been hibernating... it was too cold for him to be outside, even in his older state. However the large blast that rocked the city managed to disturb his slumber. Rubbing sleep out of his eyes and streaching he realized he was in a middle of a shead again and pealed away a few more patches of skin. He would have to clean up the scales laying in his bed late. But first... he wandered outside to find out the source of the noise.
Though it wasn't until later that he realized he had forgotten to put on a shirt...
Peering down the street he saw a few other rosen milling about. Ora decided to wander over to find out if they had learnt of the source of the explosion. He must have been quite a site considering he was dressed in only large baggy pants and half his skin was falling off.[ Dylan was getting tired, just so tired... Even with the makeshift stretcher, Sparks was a lot heavier than the child could handle for much longer. The boy turned around in mid-step to gaze at his motionless friend and mentor. The little man was breathing, but it was ragged and soft, and it worried Dylan to no end.
If only he could make it to the Development House, he could find someone, anyone, that could help him. Dylan could fix a machine, but a life was different, and he dare not open Sparks up to find out what's wrong.
FInally, the boy made it. He collapse by the entrance and lay on the ground gasping for breathe. "Hello?" Dylan called out, hoping anyone could hear him. His voice was still sore from all the work. "HELLO!" he finally yelled... oh, may someone hear him and come out to help!!! Ladon had heard a lot of noise lately, a lot of moving too and fro, raised voices and general oddness. He hadn't left his room though, a bit afraid of what lay out there and at the same time, painfully curious. He'd sat, coiled in his favourite corner, the many eyes of his head snakes watching the door. He hardly even moved, his breathing shallow with practice, his movements slow and deliberate. He'd probably have sat there all day, listening, if it wasn't for the voice close by, the voice of someone who was clearly distressed. He was impartial to events but he wasn't heartless and couldn't stand by and let the other yell. He got up, uncoiling casually, his hair snakes picking up to veiw the way, hurriedly slithering out to see what was happening. Peeking his head and snakes round the entranceway, Ladon looked for the source of the yelling. Spotting another boy not far away. "Are you okay?" he asked tenatively. Dylan had been checking over Sparks as he waited for someone to come out. He had listened to his heart, checked his breathing and temperature, saw his eye response to light... everything he had read in books; but he didn't know what he was looking for.
FINALLY, someone opened the door and peeked out. Dylan looked up and didn't even flinch, he was too concerned. "I'm f-ine," his voice cracked in worry. "But Sparks here needs help, and I don't know what to dooo....!"Sparks is not looking well, he's hot with a fever and sweating badly. Sparks' hand does not look well, on the back of his hand appears as if he's been stabbed twice with something sharp and pointy. He tosses and turns in his unconsciousness, always muttering and mumbling. The words he speaks are utter gibberish it seems, but one saying continues to be repeated on and off. "Redird". Ladon nodded at Dylan before turning half of his attention on the figure that he now knew was called sparks. Some of his snakes lingered watching Dyaln though, something he did out of habit. He didn't say anything for a moment, trying to figure out what was wrong and catch up on the situation. He had no idea though and turned up nothing. Eventually he conceded that though he wasn't sure what had stabbed his hand It looked as though the person before him was in a very bad way. "I don't know what you would do either." he said, with an apologetic frown. "I don't know what'sss going on, to tell the truth. I was trying to ssleep it away. I'll help you though if you need to move him. Iss there anywhere we can take him?" He raised a hand to his lips thoughtfully, as he did so, noticing his fangs. His frown deepened. "I think he might have been bitten." A snake tilted it's head near the prone figure. "And what'sss a Redird?" Dylan frowned and his eyes almost started to tear up with worry. "Let's get him inside. We have to cool him off, what with that fever and sweat. He'll overheat," that, at least was something Dylan understood well.
"Can you grab the other end?" The boy grabbed one end of the stretcher to take it inside. With all the tossing and turning Sparks had started to do, he was glad he strapped the man in - didn't want him to fall out.
"I'm not sure what's going on, either," Dylan sighed as the maneuvered the stretcher in, "We can figure it out once we deal with Sparks." The man was his first concern, and to the ends of the world with whatever else was happening.Ladon nodded. "Sssoundss like a good idea to me." he had no idea about illnesses but figured that if someone was way too warm, cooling them down again would be a damn good place to start. He slithered around to the end of the stretcher and hefted it up in his arms, helping to get it into the door, thoughtfully watching the man. What happened to him? It suggested a danger Ladon had no idea about and that unsettled his little organised world a great deal. His snakes fidgeted nervously, snapping at one another as they crossed the threshold into the building. "Good idea." Dylan helped Ladon getting the stretcher and unconscious Sparks inside. He went straight to where a pile of large cushions, pillows, and blankets, waited on the floor. Perfect, "Over hear...." he said, leading the way.
Once the got there, he unstrapped Sparks and with Ladon they lifted him onto pile. "We need to get most of his clothes off. They're soaked through now, he may be sweating, but he'll catch a chill or something." Again, something he had learned from his experiments.
They took off all that was decent, and made sure a nice wool blanket covered Sparks. Then, Dylan sat next to the man, and lifted the hand to inspect it. "I think you're right, ahhh?...." he didn't know the name of his helper, so he let that trail off. "It appears like a bite of some kind."Ladon co-operated with Dylan, helping to get everything in order and Sparks relatively safely laid up and position Still, the boy couldn't relax, the idea that whatever it was that had happened to Sparks could happen to him too, wouldn't let him, he didn't even consider that he could be pretty dangerous himself too if he made a mistake until he dwelled on wether a snake had did it to the man with the fever. He nervously tightened his blindfold. "I'm Ladon. And yeah, it looks like a bite, I've had a few myself when I'm.." he smirked "brushing my hair. " he lapsed back into concern. "If it's a bite and a poison one, is there any way to cure it? If it isn't, what could it be?" Dylan was thankful for the help, and it showed in his actions. He was much more talkative than usual and more open to accept this snake-like Rosin. He even let himself smile a little when Ladon joked about his hair.
"Dylan," he offered his own name and walked away for a moment.
He returned with water that was at a comfortable temperature and a couple rags. Dylan walked over the Sparks and sat down, legs splayed to get them out of the way (being able to just coil upon oneself would have been convenient at that point). He took a rag, wrung it out, and then dabbed at the sweat at Sparks's head.
"I think the head would be the most important to cool down first," he said not only to Ladon but to himself. "Just like with machines, it is the information processor that would be the thing you want overheating the most..." It was had to continue to wipe the sweat off Sparks's head, for the man get tossing.
Dylan crooed and spoke softly to Sparks, a side of him anyone never saw before.
He looked up to Ladon, concern written on his face as he had thought of something. "Redird.... If you spell that backwards, it's 'Drider'.... now, I've read that driders are a kind of...." he tried to come up with a word that wasn't offensive, "well, they are a kind of tauric Spider. Kind of how you are like a snake."
Dylan scurried around and looked at Sparks's hand, "Could that be a spider bite?" Ladon noted the other boy's name, surprisingly glad to have another living being to chat to, he forgot how lonely he'd gotten with only the constructs for company. Even in such a risky situation, the company was very welcome and just as Dylan was being more open, Ladon was making an effort to be less self-obsessed and focus on the troubles at hand over himself. He joined Dylan on the floor beside Sparks, coiling his tail up out of the way. He knew very little other than what the constructs had taught him, not aware of much to do with machines, more interested in fantastical stories than eingeneering. He nodded though. "Yesss, makess sense" the many keen serpentine eyes watched Dylan's concen and he added "I assume he was important to you then?" He interuppted himself at the mention of spiders. "Spider people?" the thought made him shiver. He hated the eight legged things. "Sounds horrible. Really horrible. Maybe it was one of them. It might still be around." Dylan took a hold of the hand and held on firmly as he sponged at the wound with the rag. He was hoping to coax some of poison out, even though he knew it was already too late for that. With a long sigh, he gave Ladon a pathetic look, "I think all we can really do is keep him cool but warm, and comfortable. I waited too long... whatever did this too him did it awhile ago."
"Yeah," Dylan said quietly, "He's sort of a cross between a father, teacher, and friend...." He didn't want to go into more detail, he may get choked up.
The boy got up and replaced the rag since it was now gross. Dylan re-took his spot at Sparks's head and resumed his method of trying to cool him down. "You wouldn't happen to know if there is any warm soup or water? It may help give him the strength he needs to fight this.... thing..." Ladon's blindfold concealed a lot of his expression but he still frowned in sadness at how much seeing Sparks like this seemed to affect the other boy. He'd never really grown attached to anyone and he was really beginning to doubt the benifits of doing so if it could cause this much pain. "I hope he'ss alright." he said, completely honestly. He was feeling rather useless, so at Dyl's question, was only too happy to go get some water and see if there was any soup, even if he had relied on the construct to do all that for him till now. He did know how to use the microwave and could read the basic instructions on things. "I think there is ssoup somewhere around here, and assss long as the water hassn't been affected, there should be that too. I'll go look." Dylan smiled, at least something seemed to be going as it should. "Could you bring it over here? I have something that we can cook it with. I noticed awhile ago there's no electricity. I grabbed a whole bunch of things on my way out, so hopefully that will help.... and a soup that doesn't require and chewing."
The boy left Sparks for one moment, just to reach over and dig in the sack he had put a whole bunch of weird odds and ends. He pulled something out that looked like a bunsen burner, as well as an interesting lighter. Ladon nodded, the fact that there was no electricity only just hitting him. Good thing Dylan thought ahead. "Will do." he said, heading to go retreive the soup. He came back a short while afterwards with a glass of water, a pan of water, a bowl and the packet of powdered tomato soup. So he didn't drop it, he let one of his snakes be useful and carry the sachet, the others carried the bowl. "Thiss okay?" he said, handing over the pan and putting the glass and bowl down. He then whipped the sachet of powder out of the jaws of the protesting snake and handed it over as well before letting his attention fall on the strange contraptions the boy had produced. "What are they?" Dylan looked at them and nodded, "Yes, those will be good." He reached in again and grabbed a metal bowl with a cap, and some attached.... handles made of a strange material. He didn't want to destroy the blass bowl.
"This is something that you can cook on. I've rigged it so it uses energy stored in this kind of battery." he pointed to a very pretty stone. "It will heat of the soup."
Dylan deftly grabbed the water and packet and poured them together, then stirred with a spoon he pulled out of his sack-o-wonders. He lit the burner, put it on and waited for it to heat up. "This is the worst part.... waiting."
The boy returned to Sparks side, where the man had a sheen of sweat on his face now since Dylan was previously occupied.Yukiko nodded and swallowed the lump in his throat as Snow started moving carefully down the stairs. Yuki looked over his shoulder and softly whispered, "W.. watch your step.." as one of his hands gripped the bannister and the other clung gently but firmly to Snow's white fur. As he neared the bottom he could hear voices and shuffling coming from around the corner and stopped, "W... who's there?" His voice was high pitched, squeaky, and most certainly frightened.Marisole noticed the blue spikey boy and the one with the snakes on him. She had never met them before...although this was not a time for introductions. They were doing something to the little man with the tools.
"Is...is he okay?" she asked, hiding behind her hair. Then, as an after thought "Im marisole...".Ora shuffled into view of the two rosen and raised a hand, a slither of skin falling off as he did so. He frowned slightly at the scared face of the paler one and quickened his pace. The komodo loomed over the two smaller rosen his shadow reaching far before him as if to catch them itself. As he neard thme, they could see that a large patch on his face was falling off and slightly waved in the breeze. Ora didn't meed to notice, more intent with catching up to the pair.O_O! Yukiko squeaked as the big peeling thing moved closer to him and the others in the dark. It took him a moment to realize that this was probably just another rosin. They all certainly looked different from eachother. He fidgeted with the hem of his dress with one hand and waved uncertainly with the other. "H..h.. hello?"Akoni reacted quickly at Yukiko's tenseness, by gently taking hold of his arm and getting closer. For some kind of reason - be it the circumstances, the fright in his voice, or even the fact the pale rosin was a bit smaller than him - the gila seemed oddly protective of this one. He interposed in between Yuki and the possible "treat", squinting a bit as he saw an hand rising. He couldn't make things out really well - the person was tall, had a tail... looked a bit like him, in fact...
And that jolted Akoni's flickle memory. "Ora ?" He asked out loud, squinting a bit more to try to make out if it was really him. The rosin had no hair - Ora was the only one he knew like that. "What's going on ?" He turned toward where the other girl had went, making out the faint outlines of Marisole, Dylan, Ladon, and Sparks. Sparks was rather easy to make out, even from that distance. But try as he will, he couldn't remember his name... "Is he gonna be okay... ?" His usual happy-go-lucky personality was completely absent, his voice betrayed his worry, and for the first time in his life, Akoni seemed to be taking the matter quite seriously, and seemed also pretty much focused. Weither it was the panic, or if he actually had it in him all along, was uncertain.
Visibly trusting Snow to take care of the two boys, Ty used his master's shock to break from his hold, making his way to Sparks and laying beside his head, licking a cheek in hope to wake up the small man. The dog gave a small whine when this failed, laying down and glancing at the others gathered. Visibely, Ty intended to keep guard on the small engineer, to watch upon the one who had brought him to his beloved master.Suddenly very aware of the number of people around her Marisole snuck away from the crowd and began walking towards the east. Ora heard his name and nodded, rubbing his arms to get the rest of the shed off. His legs were itching like crazy trying to shed his scales under his loose pants but he wasn't about to take them off to fix that problem. "Heya Akoni, are you all ok?" He looked worriedly around at the darkness and sudden unfamiliarity that surrounded them. "Do you know what is going on over there?" the komodo added when he saw the smaller do break away and race over to where a few other rosen were crouched down around something.
As if to answer his own question, the large reptile made his shuffeling way over to the smaller group. Absentmindely he scratched at his arms and another large patch of scales came off and floated slowly to the ground. Yukiko, quietly followed Ora into the other room, curious himself as to what was going on but too shy to move there on his own. He plucked at the hem of his dress, his pink eyes were becoming more acustomed to the dark making it easier to make things out. At least there was that small comfort. "I think so..." The gila answered, following the other two. "Beside the man over there. He doesn't look so well... I know him but... I can't remember his name..." Akoni seemed almost sad. He was trying hard to remember but it was like if the information simply wouldn't come out.
