I had no real emotional/musical connection to the guy...but still...he's been in conversation since I was a child.... And now he's dead all of a sudden. It's just unreal....

I know it. He's been kinda dead to most of the world since he started acting crazy, but he's always been a topic of conversation. It's strange that someone who's been around since I can remember is so suddenly out of the picture. I did like little Michael. Thriller, Beat it, etc. He was a cute little kid.

It's not something one can't believe. He's dead and that wills top him from making new music. Of course he will still be mentioned in the media and his songs wills till be played. After all Bach is still talked about, in some areas. I never understood the fan thing, where you cry over a man who played music. Like when the Swedish politician for foreign affairs(Utrikes minister) was murdered and people was seen on TV crying all over for a woman they never met, spoken to or anything. I just don't get it. I did cry a while when my grandfather had his burial.

People develop different attachments for different reasons. I mean, if Maynard James Keenan died, I would probably cry. But that's because his music is invaluable to me and I would hate to lose the perpetual generation of that talent. It'd be sad to think that I'd never hear another new song of his.

No, I don't understand the crying over it thing either. It seems silly to me to cry over someone who you never had any personal relationship with. Maybe people who get emotional about it are just exaggerating the effect that the person had on their lives. It's sad when anyone dies, but some people take it to a place that it doesn't need to go to.
I guess my disbelief mostly comes from surprise that it happened so suddenly, and he's been around for so long. It's certainly not going to affect my everyday life, though.
[edit: Now, if they're making new music that's good, I can understand crying. Because that means no more new music, and it's sad, especially if it's good music and speaks to you.]

Maybe so, I could understand your view since you told me, just up there a few post before this one ^___^ Yet now we move on to my life and Sabaton plays on in my speaker thanks to Spotify.

Yes, thank you for that, love. Becayse MJK's music really DOES speak to me. And I'm sure that Michael Jackson had people who were greatly inspired by his music too.... And then there are some creepy over-obsesive, unhealthy weirdos who just cry for no real reason....

Weirdos, I dislike them for they disturb my faith of smart people. Know what MTV also disturbs me with picking stupid people and putting them in a god forsaken spot and then they do idiotic stuff. Well many TV-shows does that. I loose faith of people all the time. Also I have a friend who always hate when an USA:er talks to me in a stupid matter for he has been trying to build up my faith in USA people.
Now of course I never tend to meet any stupid people. Like you guys, smart behaving and intellectual. Well now all of you are most likely not from USA but I guess at least one of you are.

I'm from the USA, but I take great pride in not putting myself at the base intelligence of the country's pop culture. It makes me really angry how many idiots are in this nation, making the few intelligent people look bad. *shakes head* Terrible....

Haha, you've got that right. Weirdos creep me out. Every time I venture out into General Discussion or a number of other areas on the internet I start losing faith in mankind. Some people are just... Jerks for no reason, or stupid beyond anything I've ever encountered.
I'm from the USA, so count: 1, at least. . biggrin
