[Tiny Battle] Silver But no Fish (Seren x Milo)

"Gotta wonder if the smell would be awful if we tried, ya?" Milo couldn't help but wonder out loud, Koume still present and resting against his shoulders as he surveyed the carnage they had created. It wasn't like he knew much about burning bugs or anything but at their current small size and how burning dead things did often smell horrible, it seemed like a worthy inquiry.

Either way, he turned back to Seren with a quirked eyebrow. "Aa, you have one of the lower rooms?" Though it stilled a bit of a risk even with the adventure it could hold; puncturing a bottle also seemed to hold the problem of a flood but not as much as the pipes like she mentioned. Still, "not like ruin the plumbing, ya. Would be horrible in the long run I think," he laughed, "but figure out a way to get it to work. I dunno," now he shrugged with a goofy sort of grin, "not always much of a thinker, more of a you point and I go." Sometimes he had ideas, couldn't say he had many now aside from what was in front of him. (Like taking out the bugs, which had been tackled).

It was then as if she said some magic words, making his eyes widen just briefly and the distance closed between them as he clasped a firm hand on her shoulder. "Do like that attitude though. Teamwork, ya!"

"I have no idea but the stink of rotting bug bits might be pretty horrible too." Seren sighed and shrugged, in an uncertain way. "Well, either way, there is not much we can do about that, so it is what it is."

She blinked as he asked about lower rooms, then flushed and shook her head, at the misunderstanding. "No... I meant climbing to get to faucets and things, not stairs. I've been avoiding the stairs so far, thank goodness. The idea of having to go down them right now is scary as ********, pardon my English." She closed her eyes for a moment, trying not to think about the horror that getting off of the bed she and Rhys shared had been. Than she opened them again. "No, Rhys and I share a room up here on the first floor. I was lucky, one was open. My brother is stuck BELOW, but he's made it up and is staying with us temporarily. It's amazing how much space a dorm can feel like it has, at this height."

And than he moved towards her, surprising her and making her freeze, her face going slightly white and her posture, for just a moment, one that screamed 'FEAR RESPONSE' but she managed to cover it up fairly quickly, especially when he made it clear he was just please. "Yeah. Teamwork is important, I've been noticing. Not something I was involved in much before, but it's definitely something I like."

She raised a few more good points about the remains of the bugs, "can always just walk away from it for now, ya?" Immediate action was always nice but in this situation maybe they could just leave it for later. Or, maybe if luck was on their side (hahaha) they wouldn't have to deal with it for a while when their size issue wasn't a problem anymore.

Besides, he had a misunderstanding to clear up. Milo released his hand from her shoulder and waved it about, "oh, yeah, I meant this floor," his hand moved to circle his head to indicate where they were. "Trying to get up from down there," now his thumb shot behind him in a vague sense of where the basements were, "was a bit of a trial, ya. Though, Noemi-chan came to my rescue~" Oh how pleased and impressed he sounded as he spoke of his girlfriend (still not used to it).

"It's very important," the Sun almost had that gleam in his eye, like trying to emphasize, "glad you're getting the hang of it. Sometimes its hard, like when most Ranger teams come together." Was he babbling? Maybe a little, she got him on a topic that he could go on about, "they don't realize it at first but they learn it along the way like we do here." Then he blinked, "aawee, did you say your brother is here?" Huh.

"Yeah, I just wonder how bad it'll be over the next week or so... or however long it is we're stuck this insanely tiny." She shrugged and sighed, eyeing the pile of Dead Bug Bits, before shaking her head, and looking back at Milo, her eyes focused on her friend's boyfriend.

"Oh, okay. I was not sure... I was thinking lower meant bottom floor. I think of these as ground floor. But yeah, neither Rhys or I are full Hunters yet, so we're down her." She had no idea that she had just accidentally lied. Rhys had not told her he had promoted, and had kept the secret very well. "And yeah, I have to imagine. They're what, like almost 4 times our current height, each single STAIR? It musta been like mountain climbing." She paused, then arched a brow at him, her expression clearly curious as to why he needed rescue but being polite and not pressing. "And good for her. Noemi is a wonderful girl."

Seren's expression went confused as Milo talked about Ranger teams, an expression that held a hint of complete incomprehension. "Ranger... teams?" She had no clue what he was talking about. "Are... Rangers a specialization that you can take when you hit full hunter, or something?" She was so confused, and uncertain, but she did not want to sound stupid and ignorant. Awkward.

Then he asked about her brother. "Yeah. My brother is here, too. Woke up in November, like... RIGHT after I made Intermediate. It was a serious shock."

That's ok, Seren has no clue either. She didn't get to really watch TV at home, for reasons of horrible parents, and thus does not really know about the Power Rangers, or anything similar. She's heard of them, once or twice, and that's about it.
