Ultima228 Violet the Maestro Well, if you want characters from there to be involved, I'd actually say wait until the Ball actually starts up. We're just starting to get into the really deep, complicated planning. I mean it's not that hard, but it's a lot of work. Most of the characters that the members of this guild are going to be using are going to come from Classic Literature. Basically, any work that we can use without any worries of copyright issues works. For example, I am going to play Prince Prospero from Edgar Allen Poe's The Masque of the Red Death. If you want to be an official character, try applying to be a co-host in a room. The hosts are all pretty awesome. You can apply in multiple rooms, but only work in one (trust me, it's better this way, you don't go as crazy). Hopefully I've answered your questions. Just ask if you've got any more. Kind of, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "Official Character" since all the characters that I would be introducing would be OC's (Original Characters) So I'm just a little bit confused The Annual Ball doesn't work like most roleplays that you're familiar with. For one weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) each summer, we have a massive 72 hour roleplaying extravaganza in a special forum that the Gaia admins and devs make for us each year. We have two host and about four co-host (cast members) in each room, and those people basically help steer the course of the plot for the room. We have tons of guests who come in characters that they made or simply as themselves, and participate in our story with us on a ridiculously huge scale. We also have games, contests, and prizes for the guests to enter. It takes so much work that the staffers spend a whole year planning and raising funds for the event. This guild is basically our planning guild where we write plots, come up with creative contests, get artwork done, get graphics done, etc to get ready launch the event. You're more than welcome to help us plan it, but I'm afraid you'll be disappointed if you're hoping to RP in this guild. However, if you would like to get your guild involved, we would be thrilled if you invited everyone who is not interested in planning to join us as guests for the actual event itself. biggrin Did that answer your question any better?

Yes, that DID answer my question. I've already posted an affiliation with this guild in my own, and I will defiantly be giving my guild a heads up when it comes around. I'm just interested to see what I can help do, kind of why I signed up ^^

I sent out an announcement a minute ago letting everyone know that it's time to apply, and I've also linked an FAQ about being a co-host to the announcement. You can learn as you go along. I had no idea what the ball was when I first joined it. biggrin

Well, I know which room I'll be heading off to, and I'll just need to talk to Robayn on which character I'll be brining.

LilChibiusa mouseycou LilChibiusa No one has posted anything yet? That's weird. Anyway, each room is going to take over a certain certain of the town, so don't worry about being stuck in the library. That would be too much like the 7th Annual Ball, so we decided to scrap it. Actually, we decided on a set-up more similar to the 8th Annual Ball, where great characters of lore are thrown together to work out their issues while entertaining guests. biggrin But the 7th Ball was a lot of fun xd Yeah, but what's the fun in doing the same thing twice? blaugh
Shh, they'd never know wink
