A lack of feeling wasn't anything new to Oni, his normal fighting style put his body through the ringer. Of course that wasn't apparent by his body, no scars or marks could be seen anywhere on Oni's body even though he had a lack of concern for his body. But as his nerves began to become pinched in his abdomen and legs Oni found himself in a very precarious position. He could still move his arms, and still had hold of a weapon but that would only allow for so much offense and defense before even that would be taken away from him. "Well now, it seems you may have passed the test......" As Oni spoke his voice lost it's usual calm and level headed demeanor and became far more sadistic, and almost evil. "...but I'm not ready for this to end. Let's see how long the two of you can last when I stop holding back. You have already become Generals, let's see if you can prove that you deserve more. It's time for you to face The Immortal Summoner!"

As Oni said that last sentence the shards in his body would be expelled as black striped white fur burst forth all over Oni's body. The bones in Oni's arm would be healed from this transformation as well to adjust for the adjustments from a human arm to a tiger arm. Of course as a tiger he didn't have opposable thumbs and would be forced to drop the weapon he held, but that was of no consequence to Oni. He had tested the newest recruits, now it was time for him to have his fun. "Come at me with all you have, and I will do the same. But do not fear death for no matter what injuries you sustain against me will be gone when we finish, I will see to it myself."

The test was over, but the real challenge had just begun. Oni has transformed and become nothing more than a bloodthirsty monster. How would Avery and Kain deal with the sudden change of their leader?

They had achieved the rank of generals, but now Oni wanted to test them even further. Possibly to see just how far they could go, or maybe he just wanted an actual match. Kain couldn't really tell at this point in time, but it was evident that Oni's personality had changed a great deal since when they first started the match. Oni promised to make sure that no matter how bad the injuries, he would make sure they would be taken care of. If that was the case, then they didn't have anything to lose. Not to mention they could earn higher ranks, and become more favored by Oni. This was all a win-win situation, wasn't it?

As Oni transformed, Kain would bring all the shards to him, and also all the orbs - including the ones on his right hand and the two holding down the scythe. Once they all gathered around him, and floated around him, he would redeploy the two probes to hang around Oni, meanwhile the shards would start to compact again. Holding both his hands around the shards, he would focus all his efforts on the shards to force them back into the shape of an orb, and from there forcing the orb to become even more compact. The crystal sphere would become more compact until roughly the size of a golf ball.

By the time Kain got it to this size, Oni was done transforming, and Avery was finally by Kain's side. Kain had never seen a transformation before, or at least not one to this extent. Needless to say, it put him on edge, especially since Oni was now some sort of tiger, and would most likely have the attributes of one - including the speed. Avery was the fast and experienced warrior, but Kain was practically the opposite. Everything he did took time, and because of his age and size, he would most likely not be able to stand up very well in a fight. Especially not against a beast with powers.

"Avery, keep him distracted while I prepare myself, please. I'm assuming that since my shards were ejected from his body, and he calls himself 'immortal', that his body is probably a lot stronger than it was before. Please try to isolate any kind of weakness. Oh, and don't die."

As Kain finished his statement, Avery would start making his way towards Oni in a cautious walk. He was going to have to get accustomed to a whole new enemy, and a beast form that he had never seen before. However, Oni was going to get to see what he wanted to see from earlier on in the fight. With his belt off, which turned out to be Colada, his Urumi, Avery began to unbutton his jacket. Letting it fall to the ground, it would reveal that Avery wore a silver suit underneath. Finally, he took off his mask to reveal that...he had no face? [Combat]

A golden wheel like design would materialize behind his head, along with a bunch of gold rings. They all matched the gold crest which was on his chest, but the finale was the fact that instead of a face, he had a metallic sphere that hovered between a metallic skull cap, and a lower jaw. This was the true form of Avery, the Noumenon Phantasma.

Meanwhile, Kain would continue inputting more energies into the Renzoken orb, using a process of charging, compressing, charging, compressing. The sphere would grow in size with the crystals growing like wild fire, and then would be compressed and compacted once again. This was going to take time, but hopefully it would be worth it by the time it finished. Once again, Kain found himself obsolete and out of the combat zone, but soon enough that would all change.

Chuckling himself at Ki's enthusiasm, Wyndom would receive the high 5, which left his hand stinging nicely. The ground around Wyndom would dent slightly, but Wyndom himself wouldn't budge, as he had time to prepare himself. Ki had certainly grown much stronger! Hopefully Wyndom had done the same...

Soon enough, the conversation turned onto a more serious note, as Lucas updated the comrades on Heavens current situation, and the shocking progression of time on earth.

"Hhmm."

This was a serious matter, and diving right into it might be necessary, but could very easily prove deadly. One thing that was very important to discuss was the speed time was going itself.

"Light...if time is still going that fast on earth, how are we supposed to cope? I figure for every day in Heaven, 2-3 YEARS go by on earth. While that gives Ki and I no time restrictions on our espionage, as we will likely return mere minutes from when we leave, I think the rupture in the flow of time might be more pressing?"

The more Wyndom thought about the situation, the worse it seemed to get. He worried that they might have something even bigger going on then just the person or persons Lucas mentioned who wiped out Cruxis! Perhaps this was one of those situations where you could only deal with one thing at a time. Wyndom was sure Lucas had already thought of that...perhaps he was just being overly pessimistic, but he would keep the thoughts in the back of his mind, and make a mental note to look into it himself.
Wyndom didn't really like high status positions, nor did he particularly enjoy the whole chain of command, having to wait for permission to do this or that...but this was Lucas, things would work out, and it wasn't like he was going to hamper Wyndom unless he felt it necessary. For now though, he would attempt to assist Lucas in lightening up the mood.

"Vanguards, eh? And for Heavens leader to boot! I accept!
Really though, I am honored, Light. I will gladly help you through this, as your Vanguard, but mostly as a friend."

[Ooc: Aww, corny ending! blaugh
Anyway...peace ya'll, I'll see you when I see you.

Raven Kanzaki
Raven collapsed against a wall, sinking to seat herself. Prespiration beaded her forehead, and she panted heavily from effort. Steam rose from her shoulders, her inky black hair singed. The air would have been stale, but Oxygen was needed to fuel the raging fire of the Forge. Metal, Water, and heat swirled together, a rich Orchestra that served as the heart of the hard labor Raven had come to appreciate full circle. Black smudges of dirt along her cheeks, the Evanescent Princess had undertaken the task of forging her own suited armor.

"That's 'nough for t'day." The gruff Blacksmith grunted; he had not yet warmed to the idea of some woman waltzing in, but her moxy had impressed him, and she was quick to learn. Raven realized she was still firmly gripping the Hardy she had been cutting with tightly. Cautious pulling herself to her feet, she unraveled from the cocoon of intense thoughts overcoming her. He was getting impatient with her; she had not told him anything about what her true reason for being there was. But he had trusted her for two years. His wavering thoughts nauseated her. Regaining her composure, the woman set to cleaning the area. The chest plate resting before her as she approached the table seemed harmless enough,"Yes, sir. I'll clean up here for the day. Same time to--"

The older man overtook her, pushing her to the side. He silently began collecting the tools, toting them away, "Tomorrow." He grunted, disappearing around the corner of the Smithy.

---

St. Anne seemed so much more familiar. There were familiar faces, and Raven would smile warmly to them or wave; here, Raven was reminded of home. Of her connection and birthright. The leather brace, dark brown against her pale skin, constricted, sheathing the flesh from wound. The stiff, metal plates underneath to serving as her guard. It seemed well in place, compared to the simple white cotton dress she chose to wear, a cord ran from the right shoulder across her chest to her waist where the familar weight of her Naginata hung. A Leather sheath encased the queer-angled blade, which jutted upwards from her shoulder. Formalities aside, Raven had chosen long ago not to settle into the comfort of Royal lineage. She was equal in nearly every situation, and rarely superior or inferior otherwise. She had taken to training recruits of the Guild, correcting posture, offering criticism and advice. Her outlook had been that fighting was no different than dancing, and every man, woman, and child could dance. She favored helping younger recruits to choose their weapon. The Naginata had a personal history with her, and she used this history to benefit others. To see the Guild flourish--to see St. Anne flourish--warmed her very soul.

She with her dancer's lithe slipped along the wall way, her hair braided and draped over her left shoulder. Casting a wary glance at the rosters, scanning for familiar names and ranks, Raven glanced around the corner and peered inside the Arena. Her eyes immediately locked onto the trainees, mentally calculating their forms. Like a satellite, she gravitated inward towards them. She would step carefully, hovering around the fighters like a ghost before she would interrupt and grasp a wrist tightly gripping a wooden staff, "Do not grip so firmly, Tomas. You will wear your muscles down. Eyes ahead--peripherals. Keep your toes pointed ahead." She quietly instructed the fighter; She could feel the weight of his emotions at the gentle touch, the wavering doubt. She smiled encouragingly before she turned to another group. "Jesalyn, keep your form opposing his. Jacoby--don't slouch, it will cost you reaction time--and an arm."

Now she approached another group--one far too familiar. Despite the dirt and grime that caked her, there was no better group to behold than her favorite men all in one spot, "What no-girls-allowed nonsense is going on over here, hm?"

"You're Wyn, the issue with Earth is far more dire a situation. However it's too risky to jump in and try to fix things. We don't even know anything yet. At least we have some clues about Cruxis. I'm also going to gamble that if we can find any of their members alive that they'll be able to fill in some blanks for us about the irregular time flow on Earth."

Lucas looked past Wyndom as yet another person would approach him from the Arena. He'd smile to Raven quickly before looking back to Wyn, " At any rate, I'm glad you'll accept the position as one of my Vanguards. You've always had the potential to go far, Wyndom."

Lucas would leave Wyndom with those words and greet Raven with a rather amused smile. It had been a while since he had seen her face to face like this but he still believed her to be doing well for herself.

"Haha, Raven, I must have forgot to put up the sign. No girls allowed here, but for you I'll make an exception."

Giving her a little wink, Lucas looked his friend over, easily noticing that she had been hard to work with something. "Speaking of exceptions, you're just the girl I wished to see. I'm sure you saw Ki bolt off and I just got done speaking to Wyndom about it but I could use your help once more."

His smile faded as he looked at Raven, his demeanor growing stern again.

"Heaven is in a bit of trouble."

A steel-enforced white leather arm guard replaced the older brown one that was there moments before upon her left arm. The jagged scar that traveled from the left wrist to the shoulder reflected in the light as she gripped the familiar dual-shaft of the Lunar Scythe, the rune symbols along the shaft glowing a milky white. The weight of the Armor forced Raven to stand more dignified, her shoulders back and her focus serious.

"Tell me what I must do and it will be done."

Kain was right, now that Oni had transformed into his first tiger form all of his attributes had been doubled. But the difference in Oni's mind set was what really caused him to become dangerous. Normal opponents would have been thrown off by Avery's new form, but Oni didn't even care. Fear, pain, confusion, doubt. None of these things meant anything to Oni anymore. He was nothing more than a bloodthirsty beast that wanted to feel flesh and bone rip and break in his claws. As Kain retreated a slight smirk would spread over Oni's face, he wasn't going to let him sit back and prepare.

Oni would slide his left foot underneath the pole arm at his feet and quickly lift his leg keeping his foot still to launch the weapon into the air. Oni would spin around and as soon as he was facing to the right of his previous position he would kick his still lifted left leg out kicking the falling weapon with great force. This would send the weapon flying towards Avery, of course Oni was far from done. He would quickly slam his foot to the ground and take off in a dead sprint behind the weapon. As he neared Avery he would leap off to Avery's left keeping his sprint while on all fours. Oni's target this time around was Kain, he didn't plan on letting him just sit back and prepare this time around.

If Oni managed to make it past Avery like he was trying once he was three feet away from Kain, assuming he could make it that close, he would jump into the air and swipe his right claw at Kain's face. His razor sharp claws would easily slice through Kain if the boy didn't do something, but it was the power behind the swipe that should be more concerning. Oni could probably rip the poor boys head off with his claw, and this still wasn't Oni's strongest form. Far from it actually, but Oni didn't want to completely overwhelm them this quickly. He wanted to enjoy this fight, that was the reason he had still yet to summon any of his spirits to battle. Just how well would his generals handle the rabid beast that was their leader?

Avery would watch as Oni launched the polearm at him, and then began to charge behind it. He was impressed that Oni could manage that in his tiger form, but wasn't stunned or awestruck. Avery would quickly grab two of the straps of cloth hanging off his suit with each a gold ring, and flung one at the polearm. Once the polearm would enter the ring, Avery would whip the cloth down - ring and polearm following suit.

With the immediate danger out of the way, Avery would launch the second ring at Oni, but by the time he managed the strike Oni had already circled about and was going after Kain. Unfortunately, by the time Avery had realized this it was too late to react.

s**t! Kain would think as all he could do was lift up his left arm, which was still covered in the Renzoken plate mail from earlier, and take the heat. Oni would make contact, and Kain would immediately be pulled to the ground from the force which nearly ripped his arm off. Though the plate mail wouldn't be broken, and he wouldn't get any flesh wounds, his arm got dislocated from the strength of the attack. Something that he couldn't fix on the battle field.

Amidst Kain's groans of pain, Avery grabbed the ornate wheel, and hopefully before Oni could act any further, Avery threw it with all his might - the now apparent weapon sailing through the air like a sail blade.

As Kain went to the ground Oni took a step towards him going to finish him off, in this case he would have only gone to knock him out, but before he would get the chance Avery would throw yet another object at Oni. But the same thing that happened last time would happen this time as well. The enhanced hearing of the summoner would pick up the sound of it cutting through the air pulling his attention away from Kain and back towards Avery, and the wheel flying towards him. Oni didn't pay much attention to the wheel when he jumped past Avery earlier, so he didn't know if it had any sharp edges and he couldn't really make out anything with the speed it was moving.

Oni would put his right paw up in an attempt to catch this wheel while lowering his body as a precautionary act in case it was able to slice through his hand, his chest wouldn't be behind it. Oni was met with a sharp and sudden pain as the wheel impacted with his paw, or more accurately, through his paw. One of the spikes was now jutting through his paw, but from Oni's reaction it was as if he didn't even feel it. Closing his eyes would advance his transformation into his second tiger form. The only difference between his first and second tiger forms would be the opposable thumbs return, allowing Oni the privilege of once again being able to grab hold of objects.

Now that Oni could, he would grab hold of the edge of the wheel and pull it free from his hand, blood pouring to the ground as he did so. But even through all of this Oni would not flinch or even make a sound. The summoner would casually toss the ring aside and turn his attention back to Kain. If he was still on the ground Oni would aim one swift kick towards the ribs of him. The armor would absorb the brunt of the attack, and even fracture the bones in Oni's shin but Kain would be risking a few cracked ribs as well as a loss of breath. This shot could even knock the boy unconscious if he wasn't used to taking a beating.

As Oni began to transform again, Avery took this chance to quickly run out to Kain, putting Colada back around his waist, and picking up his polearm along the way. With as much speed as he could muster, Avery would dash to Kain; a hand outstretched to scoop at Kain's clothing. Once he felt Kain's clothing in his hand, he would dive forward in a roll - the momentum helping him pull Kain's body up and to his chest before rolling back onto his feet and continuing his sprint for a few more feet before ultimately turning about face to watch Oni. That was, of course, time permitting.

Should Avery be able to collect Kain in time, Avery would place him against his back, and using some of the free cloth straps, would tie Kain against himself. This, unfortunately, would limit his mobility. He was going to have to buy Kain time, but time was something they might not have. Should Oni still throw the 'wheel', it would rise up and levitate back to Oni, and hover behind his head once more.

Stabbing Gae Bulg into the ground beside him, and whipping out Colada once more, it was once again Oni's move, and all Avery could do was wait.

[Location: Ragnarok City, Mjollnir]

At the southern most edge of the city lied the most well known building in Hell, Mjollnir. Black marble floors were offset by the white marble table tops. The walls made of dark mahogany adorned with all sorts of pictures of the bars owner, Kal, with different people. The bar itself was in the back left corner of the first floor. The bar stools made of a metal that was extremely hard to come by since they were made by a steel demon, the tops covered in a fine velvet. The bar itself was just as nice as the stools, made of the same mahogany as the walls, but had an inlay of gold tribal designs. The bar top was white marble, which provided a great surface for unruly demons to have a lesson taught to them.

The right wall of the first floor had a stage for the house band, which was currently off duty due to the time of day. The most sophisticated of equipment rested on the stage waiting for the band later that night. Each wall had booths lining them, each with the same soft velvet seat covers, and white marble table tops.

Next to the bar were the stairs leading to the second story, the housing part of the bar. Couldn't very well let the demons leave drunk so they could pick fights now can we?

From the looks of things, it was just your average high dollar bar, but to those that know the right things to say it was a completely different place. Kal had his hand in almost every pie in Hell. He held information on everything based around Hell, even the exact location of Oni at all points in times. In the back room of the bar was nothing more than a set of stairs that led down. Only those accompanied by Kal could proceed down those stairs and any that ever spoke a word of what was down there disappeared as did who they told.

Kal stood behind the bar staring at a picture on the wall. It was a picture of Negi, Oni, Arc, and himself back in the old days before they cared about the war. After the last war Kal had lost contact with both Arc and Negi. He knew what Negi was doing but had been putting in every effort to find out anything about Arc, and Cruxis.

Oni wasn't focused on Avery at all so when his kicked failed to connect the tiger would let out a small growl. He wouldn't go running after them just yet, he would give them a chance to catch their breath. But not a very long chance. As he released the wheel and it floated back up Oni knew he would need to take a bit bigger action to dispose of it. Holding out his right arm, the summoner would face his palm back towards his scythe. The scythe in the wall would shake furiously before flying to his hand, the force seemingly causing Oni to spin. In actuality Oni would spin on his own just as the scythe met his paw.

As Oni spun he would spin the scythe around so that it was facing the way he needed. Once he was facing the wheel he would quickly swing downward aiming the blade of the scythe for the hole in the center of the wheel. If the scythe blade managed to slip into the hole of the wheel Oni would continue his swing downward embedding his scythe into the ground. Once the blade of his scythe was in the ground Oni would release his weapon and jump up landing on the long staff like hilt of his scythe using both his weight and power to push most of the weapon into the ground. If all of this was successful the wheel would now be effectively pinned to the ground keeping it out of Oni's fur.

With all of that done Oni would turn to face Avery who now had Kain strapped to his back. Did he really think that he would be able to handle Oni with that dead weight on his back? They would soon find out as Oni began a slow, but steady stride towards the two of them.

With one of his better weapons forced into the ground by Oni, and the lack of mobility, Avery was going to have to bring up his game to a whole new level.

The lesser summon from earlier - the Enmity - had been making it's way around the arena out of sight and out of mind of all the battling, but as it traveled it had left black hairs across the arena floor. These hairs had grown deep into the soil, and were all now moving back and forth. Though they weren't near Oni, they were all over the arena, and even right behind Avery. This was most likely going to be the best he could do while immobile, and he could only hope it would keep Oni at bay long enough.

Letting out an ear popping screech, all of the small hairs would begin to rapidly shake and shudder, the very earth beneath Avery and Oni shaking as the strands became longer, and longer, seeming to grow from the ground. In reality, the hairs had been growing and growing underneath the ground, and with Avery's call they were finally rising up into practically stalks - soon enough Avery and Kain would be encompassed by the massive walls of hair surrounding Oni.

Almost as soon as they all sprouted up, they would begin to reach for Oni, attempting to grab and cover Oni in their many strands of hair. Meanwhile, the Enmity itself would begin it's rather slow journey towards Oni - hopefully while distracted, in order to get in a bite, which would possibly end the battle.

Using all the hair as cover, Avery moved as far back as he possibly could before ultimately running into the arena wall. Releasing Kain from the cloths, he would sit him up against the wall. He had to at least wake Kain up enough to encompass his body in a shell of Renzoken - that way Oni wouldn't be able to get to him and Avery could finally fight again. Avery began to tap Kain's cheeks, turning more into slapping as his patience wore thin. Kain was bound to wake up, wasn't he?

PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 4:07 pm
As the ear popping screech went off Oni would stop moving and watch as the hairs began sprouting up out of the ground. Oni had gone against someone that enjoyed altering the battlefield to the advantage on many occasions and decided now was the time to change his style slightly. Crouching down Oni would push off the ground with all the power he could muster two dragon wings ripping their way from his back as he entered the air.

The brown scales shone in the sun light as Oni hovered out of reach of the stalks of hair, and the enmity. His only problem was he had lost sight of Avery and Kain during all of this. Oni was now slightly annoyed and decided do start using his powers, at least one version of his powers. Holding both of his arms out to his sides two glowing orbs would slowly take shape in his hands. One was an aqua blue while the other a shimmering yellow. These two baseball sized orbs were two energy cannons, of course they had been weakened immensely so he wouldn't kill Avery, Kain, or anyone in the crowd. Although these two orbs held enough power for what Oni wanted to do.

Aiming both of his hands downward Oni would fire off both orbs at the same time aiming for the area of the arena he leapt from. As the orbs collided with the ground an earthshaking explosion would occur. If the hair could be destroyed, then this was surely enough power to wipe out the majority of them, as well as the enmity. When the blast subsided the second effect of the energy cannon would kick in. A small layer of water would spread over the floor of the arena, this was caused by the aqua colored orb made from the energy of Oni's water spirit. Immediately following the water were multiple jolts of lightning, brought forth by the yellow orb which held the power of Oni's lightning spirit.

The mixing of water and lightning was a very simple combination. Even if Oni could not see Avery if he remained in the water he would be shocked as would Kain, but that was far from the worst. The lightning was actually causing electrolysis to take place. This is the process of using lightning to separate the hydrogen and oxygen molecules of water. And with that much water that meant there was a lot of hydrogen in the air for the lightning to ignite causing a second, larger explosion.

Walking around in the City of Ragnarok, Negi would wander threw the city until he came upon a bar. The bars name was, Mjollnir. On the outside of the bar it looked really nice for something that was in hell, but the summoner knows that even though they are in hell doesn't mean people can't have some nice stuff. He would walk into the bar, and would be shocked at what he would see. The bar was nice on the inside just like on the outside, but that wasn't what shocked him. It was the man standing behind the bar. It was Kal, a Energy Vampire that Negi knew pretty well.

As he walked up to the counter he would say to the Vampire, "Get me a glass of some of your good stuff old friend." He said this with a smirk, for it had been a long time since he had seen the man for what had seemed like ages because he was on earth most of the time.

((Sorry for such a short post Walter I kinda have some writers block after a long time of not posting XD.))

Raven Kanzaki
"That does not surprise me."

The aura that naturally swirled around her began to glow, revealing itself. Over the past five years, Raven had trained the use of her aura to equip the necessary outfits that she needed for any occasion. Now she called upon the new-found ability to transform her attire, summoning the decorative ensemble she wore in honor of St. Anne's victory.

The aura consumed the dress, constricting around Raven and dimming down; The Blue and Silver filigree glinted in the light of the Arena, with intricate and whimsical lines that vaguely resembled clouds. The sleeveless chest plate cut off, leaving her abs exposed before the Armored skirt took it's place, the tiered metal plates sharpened to a point. The white leather boots rose just before her knees, plated in steel and tiny Sapphire drops.

"You'll be accompanying Ki, Wyndom, and myself to Hell. We're going to try and cooperate with them to find the members of Cruxis. Long story shortened, for the past five years here, five thousand years have passed on Earth. Religion has been snuffed out, resulting in Heaven and most likely Hell to weaken. I suppose it's safe to say, if no one believes in us this realm will collapse on us. Rather ironic I must say, however it's a crisis I'd rather avoid. And to do that we'll need to know just what happened on Earth. For that we need to find any members of Cruxis."

Lucas sighed as he felt the weight of Heaven's dilemma multiply over his shoulders. The more he repeated the issue the more concerned he became. He'd watch Raven manipulate her clothing, shifting her attire to something Lucas was more familiar with. With that, Lucas' worries eased as he was proud to recruit Raven to his side once again.

"Also, with this mission you'll be promoted to my personal Vanguard. You've proven to me and to Heaven itself that your skills are very formidable. I expect to see great things from you in the future."

Lucas smiled to her for a moment before looking down to the warriors of the Guild. He'd clasp the journal in his hands tightly and start his descent to the exit.

"You can all prepare yourself at the Palace. With your new titles you're allowed to move freely through my domain. You've also gained access to our armory and any other services I have available there."

Avery looked up into the air, and through the many, many strands of hairs he could faintly see that Oni was now in the air, hovering above the whole arena, and preparing an attack. Perhaps this was as far as he could go? Was it time for him to forfeit the battle? Maybe this was their limit at the moment. After all this, and he might throw in the towel just because Kain had gotten knocked out.

No. If there is a will, there is a way! Still out of sight of Oni, Avery would grab Kain's left hand covered in Renzoken crystal, and place his left hand on Kain's shoulder guard. There was still a way, still an option, and he was going to take it! As soon as the attack landed, it would wipe out the Enmity and even the hairs around them, but the attack produced enough energy for the Renzoken crystal to grow like wildfire. Absorbing surrounding spiritual energy, and even the rather vast amounts of energy produced by Oni's attack. The small amounts of strands left of the hair would no longer be enough to hide Avery and Kain any longer, but of them, all Oni would see would be a massive misshapen block of dark purple crystal

As the water moved about the arena floor, the electricity joining in, all energies would begin to be absorbed rapidly by the Renzoken crystal, which rapidly began to grow out across the arena, devouring the energy produced by anything and everything within it's path. Should the energy run out, it would cease to grow, but so long as there was energy being produced it would continue to grow. Even in the miniscule of amounts. As Oni was bound to realize, he had just opened up a whole new can of worms, and somewhere within it all Avery and Kain were inside of all this crystal, which prevented not only direct line of sight, but kept from any physical contact between them and Oni.

If the electricity was not introduced, however, the original block created by the initial attack would remain still and silent. When in reality, hard to see from the eye, it was growing ever so slightly.
