Agreed, I mean even the annual ball is suffering. This year the room I worked in had almost no guests because no one wanted to enjoy a solid roleplaying event...

It seems that Gaia is getting increasingly worse in both debating and role-playing quality by the year, right?

Yes. Which is sad because I thought it was bad when I started on here. I was in sixth grade and another roleplayer asked what year in college I was in because of my writing skill. And I was failing English at the time.. >.<

Shouldn't the overall quality be skyrocketing upward, rather than the other way around?
What gives that the other way around is the norm?

Texting... Twitter. Places where full sentences are meaningless. The fact that schools are failing.

Combine that with the rapid amounts of high-end illiteracy rates that have already infected gaia online's populations alone and have begun to rapidly spread all over the Outskirts Battledome and even factpile.com, and it basically goes to just serve to make matters all that much worse? gonk

It is horrible and honestly I have decided against becoming a teacher because of all the illiteracy on the internet. This is where the intelligent people were known to collect...

And since the Intelligent people are suffering a major decline as of late, the Internet is paying for it in terms of dropping IQ scores all over the place, right?

I might know of a forum site that happens to be one of the last remaining vestiges of literacy rates, if it helps, but we don't have enough of a population to make it work as it stands.
If the dropping IQ scores issue wasn't a part of the problem, would we have been stuck with 50 Shades of Grey + its sequels instead of actually having meaningfully tasteful Potter-world vs dot hack discussions?
Would TokyoPop had been lost before all the Manga they were bringing to the U.S get liscensed by other publishing companies?

Would we be in the predicament of our literate membership in decline, for that matter?
I should think not. gonk

50 Shades of Grey is just Twilight fan fiction gone bad, by the way...
Parents stop caring about education soon so do the kids and everyone suffers.

Which makes it worse, bad enough we never gotten the chance to discuss any Potter-world vs dot hack matches like the Ministry of Magic vs the CyberConnect(CC) Corporation(dot hack universe) in public without fear of illiterate nutjobs roaming around, this is just yet another multiplier monkey wrench to worry about. gonk
No wonder why the 2nd half of the last decade went horrid and we're just trying to recover from all that, Illiteracy rates were rampant in 2008-2012, lately!

Yes, that and music is getting worse. So is TV. In general culture just is proving education and literacy are not important.

Apparently neither is Common Sense, as that's meant to be tossed out of the window.
The fact we are not acting like a united front against this rampant surge in stupidity is proving to be too obvious, lately. =_='

So any luck with new Torchwood agents or new Whovians?

Well, unfortunately I have little common sense, but then again I am very good with numbers, patterns, and science... But figuring out how to do ordinary things... I am so bad at...

None yet... But I still have more people I can PM.

I sure hope that while this thread hasn't been posted in in three years, there's still some Whovians in this guild, that was the whole reason I joined-. I can play a fairly good Clara, though I'm pretty new to her, and I could probably manage a decent 10 if you can't find anyone else, though I know someone who plays a wonderful 12!
