Katiera tried cutting the wood with the axe, but it was crystal clear to both of them that she wasn't very skilled with it. She'd hacked her bundle of wood so much that she ended up with only half as much as she could have brought back.
Aradom gave her a stern look upon her return to camp, and she wondered what he was thinking. Did he think he was wasting his time with her? Maybe he doubted he could fix her. She knew she would have to try a lot harder to gain his approval.

[[its alright. I thought i had the same thing happened, except i burned the ram drive, i didnt get a virus lolso I had to update the computer .. but It looks like i need a external Hard drive so i dont burn up anything else.]]

Aradom got up and took his axe, and brought it to the nearest tree. "Ok, There is several way to use an axe. One of them is to cut fire wood. Another, and has so many ways, I cant count id fighting. You have to figure that style out on your own, If you want to use an axe. But to use it on wood," He said, as ge hand sawed a line in the wood. "You want to try and hit the same area. So create a target. After that, If it is thick, you want to cut a V into it. If it is not thick, then it dont matter. Let me show you.

Aradom spent the next 30 minutes, showing her different ways to cut wood, With a one handed cut to get rid of small branches, to a two handed swing to cut a tree or branch down, to swinging both sides at the tree, making the cut an x then a v, on both side of the tree. This made getting rid of the tree faster, but more energry consuming.

Aradom thought for a moment, then nodded. "Ok, that should work. If you want, you can practice cutting, or sparring with me with a weapon of choise." He said to her, as he went back to the firepit, and started to create one by hand.

Katiera watched as he showed her all the ways to cut the wood. For hacking at trees he did it with surprising grace. After he returned to camp and started making the firepit, she tried cutting some herself.
She found an average sized branch, picked up the axe and swung at the branch. After about 15 minutes, she'd managed to cut a few stumps, though not clearly as clean-cut as Aradoms, but it was an improvement. Though it was only a small step towards what Aradom would consider good, it brought a smile to her face, knowing she was making progress. She made a couple of trips back to take the stumps back to camp. Once she had them all, she dropped one by the fire, clearly it had not taken him long to build it. She sat down on the stump and sighed. It was the first time today she'd actually relaxed.

Aradom was impressed by the progress, but still needed work. He went over to the side of him, and started to work on two peics of wood. he tried to shapre them and strengthen them. After he did that, he threw one of the peces of wood at her. "Get ready, Im going to show you how to fight with a sword." he said, as he got up and stood at his ready. He then watched her how she stood, and then corrected her. "Stand so you can be ready for anything, stand so you can dodge anywhere you want. You also want to stand where you can see here and there. You also want to make sure your arms are relaxed, and have the sword go across your body. Make sure your defensive, and defletls off the sword, not strike the sword directly."

Katiera tried to keep up. He sure knew what he was talking about. It seemed that everything she did was wrong, as he had to keep correcting her. She took in everything he said, determined to prove she could do this.
He continued to demonstrate for another 15 - 20 minutes, as she followed.
