((I think it might be the difference in the post window and the preview window, 4 preview lines takes up six lines in the post window, so you have to check preview to see how many lines the post will have when it is submitted))

To Caria, though the world was veiled in an unnatural darkness, the planet seems still, filled with an uncanny quiet that made even her bones want to scream in protest. When she burst through the sky, she was automatically able to sense the closest malevolent presence. It felt neither demon, angel, or human, but somehow a mix of all three. The feeling of it sickened her and drover her to the ground like a bullet, clutching her pounding head and attempting to keep herself from vomitting.

After a few moments, she managed to compose herself and tried to sense if there were any angels near the presence. She started to try to match them with the unique powers they gave off. . .Gambit. . .Yuna. . .Vincent. . .Jack. . .and a few others not too much further away. They all seemed to be drawn to the presence. Yuna was the closest, with her Seer, Brian. They could not take this creature alone. The power radiating from the beast scared even her.

She took flight again and flew toward them as quickly as her wings allowed, finally landing harsly some ten feet behind the beast. He seemed comically demonic. Cliche. But there was no mistaking the power and malice coming from him. He wanted to kill them all.

Noah kept his eyes on the strane being in front them, but he also noticed another form with his eyes. The aura was so strong it was definately no normal angel guardian he saw, but something even stronger That aura, that light, could this be the true form of Caria, I know I've only studied her appearance in the little tomes and books, but she's everything and more that they described Noah looked backa t Jack and wondered what the guardian was feeling, afterall she was the leader of the angels, the very enemey of of his guardian and all demons I hope nothing happens, I think we might have to call the battle off for now and stopped this thing here?

Yuna could feel others coming into their area, drawn to the presence of the creature. It steadied and comforted her while also frightening her more. She was glad for their coming. . .glad that she and her Seer might be saved, but also afraid for them. This was not something they could take on alone, nor something they could take on even with the help of others.

She started to pull Brian back. They were much too close, and she could see him still trembling. He tried to shrug her off and tensed, ready for a fight. Yuna cursed under her breath. She could feel him going into the same battle craze he had slipped into that one day in the park. He had managed to control it during the other minor battles they had had since that day, but today, it seemed, it was coming back.

Brian could feel the clouded veil starting to fall over his mind, and he did not try to suppress it. He knew Yuna was afraid for him, but without the state of rage, he would not be able to fight uninhibited. He would be. . .much weaker. Despite the threat it would pose to himself (and maybe others. . .), they needed all they power they could get.

Two familiar cards flew at the beast and struck him in the chest, exploding and knocking him to the ground. He screamed in pain and rage as he writhed on the concrete clawing at his chest, but it was not enough to keep him down. He staggered up, all of his malice revealed in his eyes that were shrouded before in fallacy.

Yuna stared into the sky, looking for Gambit. She could not see him, but she could feel him nearby. Maybe help would come before Brian went under . . . but when she turned her gaze back to her Seer, she knew it already was too late.

His head jerked, and he closed his eyes as pain shot through his head. Here it co-- He did not even have time to complete his thought before he lost himself. His eyes flew open, he shook his right hand, and a crackling, wild sphere of electricity formed in his palm. Raising his hand in front of him like a weapon, he rushed the creature, while Yuna made a frantic grab at the back of his shirt. Her fingers closed over air, though, and she stumbled forward.

She righted herself and quickly glanced up to see what had happened to Brian. The creature had stopped him with a single hand, and he now had his right fist (the electricity ball was gone) enclosed in one of the beast's red-skinned hands. He snarled, gripped Brian's hand tighter with a sickening crunch, and spun around, lifting Brian from the ground and slamming him against a nearby wall like a ragdoll.

Yuna ran toward her Seer, but the beast back-handed her with his free hand. She pushed herself up to see Brian limply standing, still deep in the craze, his fist (now with a red of another shade streaming down his arm) still in the beast's tight grip.

Yuna gasped as she felt another presence coming toward them. Strong. Safe. Sound.

"Caria," she breathed.

Glancing over in the direction Gambit motioned towards, Blade then nodded at his angel, then sprinted off in that direction. There was definitely something in the area that he couldn't quite recoize, but it didn't feel like it was something that was on their side.

That must be the trouble Gambit mentioned... but what's this?

He soon sensed another presence, though one a lot more familiar. It had to be Caria. No one else he had met felt so filled with light or power, or whatever she was filled with.

Gritting his teeth, he soon came to a halt as he saw the strange creature before them. On the other side, he saw Yuna, as well as Brian. The latter didn't seem to be doing so will, with his fist all red and his body all limp.

His fingers twitched, as he began to feel strange. It made him highly uncomfortable, and he had a feeling that demon-looking creature was the cause of it. Narrowing his eyes, he glanced up at his guardian momentarily before drawing out his sword and darting forth. A few feet away, he jumped up into the air and stabbed down at the thing.

The blade of his weapon was ignited, but he wasn't too sure if any of this would help. All he knew was that he needed to at least try to distract the creature so he could release Brian.

And with both seers so close to the creature now, Gambit had no choice but to hold back his cards, lest he wanted to get the humans caught up in their blasts.

Vincent snapped out of his trance, momentarily caught up in strange feelings that had suddenly hit him. Whatever it was looked like a demon, but it sure didn't feel like one. And it certaintly wasn't there just for decoration.

He grimaced as he saw the creature smash the man against a wall. They need help, that's for sure...he thought. He picked up a quick movement out of the corner of his eye, and watched as another man made to attack the creature. Vincent's eyes narrowed. That's not going to be enough... I need to step in.

But what about Akio? He's alone on that street... what if there's more of those demon creatures lurking about? His breath hitched in his throat as he whirled around in midair, red eyes darting frantically for the little figure. There! Sitting on the sidewalk...The streets apparently empty... Safe, for now...

Vincent turned once more towards the commotion. No more time to think. He began flying swiftly towards them, his uncertain mood seemingly evaporating with each passing second as a familiar feeling of security washed over him. Hm, must be Caria...

Akio sighed, watching the white fog of his breath disperse into the air. Was Vincent alright? What made him leave like that? He must be in trouble, the boy concluded. That's why he's not returning as fast as he usually does. He got up and began making his way down the street, feeling a bit guilty for not keeping his word.

Noah looked back and forth of the strange being and his books "If it's a mixture of both then it might be immune to either one's weakness, but what about a combination of the two?" He sighed and knew he wasn't much a fighter, he was only good at outsmarting his opponents if needed, never actually using his own strength, if he even had any "Every shear has thier own power, but where's mine?"

The small guardian looked around, grinning sometimes and smiling with his sharp teeth while his pumpkin cap slid over one side of his face sometimes, pushing it back up with his shadowy hands or claws, it was hard to tell since most demons were more human like at this stage, and not many were orange either "Candy, I want candy" He cried as he opened his mouth, but he was too young to really worry about the thing in front of him
