Hello everyone! You can all call me Bella since BelladonnaLee is a little long. smile

I've been reading romance novels since I was a young teenager who happened upon Harlequin books in the library one summer. Once a week I'd ride my bike for close to an hour to get a brand new batch of them and usually devour them well before my next trip. Now I'm over 40 and order them off the internet, even though I certainly could use some exercise on my bike.

My current favorite writer is Nora Roberts, mostly because I know I can count on her to pump out a new book on a fairly regular basis. Others that I enjoy are Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Maggie Shayne, Laurell K. Hamilton, Linda Howard, Linda Lael Miller, Karen Marie Moning and MaryJanice Davidson. I suppose it's fairly obvious by the authors I like that I enjoy supernatural/vampire romance themes.

Hi, I'm Akamurasaki (Joanna)! When I was young I hated to read and that continued for the longest time. When I graduated from high school, I had a lot of free time that summer waiting for college to start, so I went to the library with my sister and checked a couple of books out. The first book I read out of my pile happened to be a Christian romance by Lori Wick called The Princess (which happens to be one of my favorite books). I'm not sure how I ended up with a passion for historical romances, but when I start reading them I totally lose myself (I giggle, cry, get mad lol - bascially embarrass myself sweatdrop ), the time, everything (I've ended up missing a couple of classes for reading too much >_<). I no longer have to present my library card because I check out my six books every week lol. I've about read all the historical romances my small town library has. And I'm starting to obtain a nice collection myself (mostly due to buying 5 books for a $1 at the libraries around here lol).

My ultimate favorite author is Johanna Lindsey (I am actually now the proud owner of all her books)! A few others that I like (though they aren't all historical authors) are: Karen Marie Moning, Lynn Kurland, Georgina Gentry, Kristen Heitzmann, and several others that I can't think of at the moment... smile

Hi, I'm luvinamyst and I too think that romance novels are like fairytales for adults. I am glad that I finally find someone who understands. I have been reading romance novels since 12 and have gone through many authors such as Jayne Ann Krentz (Amanda Quick), Christina Dodd, Leigh Micheal, Deborah Simmons, Johanna Lindsey, Lewis Thompson, Karen Marie Moning, Jane Feather, Nora Roberts, Jude Deveraux, and Elizabeth Lowell. My current favorite is Sherrilyn Kenyon. Romance novels have been a comforting past time for me for many years and like no other genre, romance novels have taken my imagination to the past, the present, and the unusual. It is a little haven in paperback binding.

Well hi! my names babyjay0018 (Just Jay if it makes it easier 3nodding ) i've been a hopeless romantic since before i can even remember with my grandma always telling me stories about the time i was two and explaining to her how a guy should treat a woman...
i"m in love with historical romances and read a lot of garwood, lindsey and Mcnaught. i'm a helpless romantic to the core and have found that dating is hard for me because of it (a lot of the guys i go for seem to think saying i love you and buying a occasional flower for me to be un-manly or don't want to cuddle and i LOVE to cuddle crying )

wow! some of you guys started young... sweatdrop
well*cough* hi there I'm Aukima but you can go ahead and call me cheryl. I started reading romance novels when I was, hmmm about 13 or 14. My first romance novel I picked up on accident. It looked good, and I got it from the youth room, next thing I know I'm hooked. The book was, the highjacker by susan wiggs. My mom owns a lot of Christian romance novels but I don't read hers much, thoughI do love christian romance, I also love supernatural, Contemp.,and Historical.OHhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah Historical. lolz. I got into reading books based in 14th-16th century Scotland, england. I absolutely fell in love with the characters of the wallflower series, these misfit wallflowers think no man will go near them, but as it turns out they all have adventures of their own. It starts with Secrets of a summer night by Lisa Kleypas. shortly after somone recommended Karen Marie monging's highlander series. And,woo, there's a steamy romance.. haha. When I'm reading a good book you usually tell because I giggle a lot and kick my leggs (I usually read in my room...I don't think my parent's would like the fact I read romance books...one or two a week). My friend teases me but then I just tease her back for watching Soaps rofl I'm really nutty. haha, nice to meet y'all

`Tainted Love

Yey~, acceptance. ^-^

I'm `Tainted Love, as it should say above my pixel-person. I don't remember when I first came upon Romance novels, but since I've read them, I've loved them. I do know that my love for them started some time after my grandmother offered to buy me books, even if it was porn, to get me to read. Up until forth grade, I hated reading. I watched the movie for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers[sp?] Stone, and decided to read the series. After reading what was out, I started with fan-factions. That, eventually, wasn't enough, and my parents were getting angry at me for being online 18 hours a day. (That's only an estimate. sweatdrop )

Currently, my favorite author is Keri Arther. I'm keeping track of her newer series Full Moon Rising; A Riley Jenson Guardian Novel. I'm on the second book she's written. Kissing Sin. It's just as good as the first. whee

I love fantasy which is one reason I turned to Fan-fictions. The fantasies, drama, and love make me feel all fuzzy inside.

I'll read just about anything, but if it doesn't appeal to me, I'll normally stop reading it.

hey. Name's Roxxi Shiagami. I started reading romance novels when I read a fanfiction that integrated a favorite anime into one. (Ie. Crossover) I picked up the book because I was curious about the original characters and loved the book. It was Dara Joy and her Familiar trilogy. That was in high school. I'm now completing my junior year in college and am the proud owner of a lot of romance novels. I think the last count was approximately 230. sweatdrop Though it's probably grown because I picked up a couple more books. I have a few favorite authors: Cherry Adair, Christine Feehan, and Christina Skye to name a few. Right now, I'm reading a book by Winstead-Jones. (For the life of me, I can't think of her first name. I think it's Linda) Anyway. It's her Prince of Fire.

Hi, my name's UniWingdFox, Wingd for short. I don't really know what got me into reading romance novels. sweatdrop It just sorta happened while I was reading fanfics online. Got a killer craving for a good book, and the first one I found was romance. Now I can't get enough. Out of the authors I've read so far, Diana Palmer is my favorite. Johanna Lindsey comes in at a close second though. Hope I can get some good suggestions here. --Wingd

Hi! My name is pri_glam. Call me Pri. I started reading romance at the adg of 14. I stumbled upon the book Devil's Honor by Cebra Dier at a second hand book store. I mistook the book for a paranormal series but soon found out that it wasn't. A couple of my friend's in school borrowed the book afterwards due to curiosity and later my mother hid it when she found out what kind of book it was.
Although most romance reader's look at the book as a work of art/imagination, some people like my mother don't.
After that, i didn't read much romance until i was 17. I began to borrow books in college and i still do. I read at least one entire book a day. I just can't stop reading. I've finished reading all the books by Amanda Quick and am curently reading a book in her other pen name Jayne Ann Krentz.

Hi, I'm FaerieChic_09 and I just joined this guild. I just started reading romance novels my freshman year, so that's about 3 years. My mom got me into them actually. When I was little I actually hated to read, but that all changed when my mom got me to read Harry Potter. Now I've always got atleast 2 books in my purse at all times.
My favorite romance authors are, Johanna Lindsey (my absolute favorite, I just re-read The Present, I love the Malorys!!), Judith McNaught, Julie Garwood, and a couple of other authors as well. It's pretty much just whatever seems interesting at the time when I read the back cover. I also only really like historical romance novels, if it starts to get to modern I won't read it, I'm a history lover as well as a romance lover.
I am a huge romantic, I believe that there is such a thing as having a soul mate, not necessarily love at first sight because I think that you have to know someone before you can love them, so it can't be love at first sight.

Hello, I'm TripleJays and could be something else later because I change my username alot w/o paying taxes. Anyway, I've been a romance addict since the age of fourteen/fifteen. I have to say, all the thanks go to a good friend of mine. If it wasn't for her to introduce me to reading a great romance story from online by many many great stories tellers, I wouldn't know how to write my own stories. I started cracking a novel a year later and getting book crazed until now. To be honest, I sometimes don't finish the whole thing because you know what it can do to you. Once I got so addicted, I started being picky. My first novel I feel in love with was FIRESTORM by Iris Johansen. It got everything packed in for me! Romance/Thriller/Mystery. Fantastic. Anyway, I'll be on often!
