Weaknesses:
✦ Curiosity - Iniko has been trained to obey her superiors without hesitation. However, her curiosity may sometimes get the better of her, leading her to stray from her orders or come across information that could endanger her.
✦ Being human - Iniko was often in danger of being traded and, in some cases, kidnapped by higher races who wanted her to work for them. When she was a child, Iniko was an appealing prospective servant as she could be trained accordingly. Iniko is consistently viewed as a weak and easy target for the malice of others as a result of her petite stature and being human.
✦ Lack of training with a weapon. Iniko had a knife for a while, but swinging it wildly is the extent of her combative knowledge. Her main tactic is to slip away from an enemy and flee, not to incapacitate or kill.

Bio: Iniko was born in Ryumin. At age 4, she was sold to a human merchant. The merchant gave her the name Iniko, meaning “born in troubled times”. Iniko was raised by this merchant until she was 9. During this time, Iniko traveled with the merchant and helped him sell and trade everything from books and clothes to antiques and jewels (some stolen, some traded). Iniko had learned a great deal about other races as she traveled and became quite good at trading. Until the merchant met a warlock who bargained, not for any items on the market, but for Iniko herself.
For fear of the warlock’s power, it didn’t take much convincing for Iniko to be handed off from the merchant to the warlock. Iniko worked for him for four years, helping him mix potions and gather ingredients. The warlock was a fearsome man who practiced temporal magic.
Iniko found his experimental relationship with time itself to be horrific. A man who attempted to bend time to his will was simply asking for trouble. And the man himself was none too kind in public, nor in his use of magic.
Iniko was 13 she ran away from him. She'd waited for nightfall when her master slept, and took what food, money and clothing she could carry before she left. Iniko hadn't seen him since, but she always feared he would find her and exact some sort of vengeance.
Iniko spent the next few years alone, avoiding long term employment. She stowed away with travelers, traded, pickpocketed and stole in order to acquire food and money.
Iniko could count on one hand the times she’d been well fed. Even when she had food, she wouldn’t eat, opting to go just one more day or one more hour to conserve as much food as possible.
She loved dancing and it usually made decent wages. But she only did so once a week, for lack of energy. She slept in shady corners, unnoticed, during the day and stole at night when all was quiet. This went on for five years and the strain and exhaustion showed on her.
Iniko’s lack of nourishment had stunted her growth. Even now as she approaches young adulthood, she is short and wiry.
While her petite frame helped her go unnoticed in crowds, it was also a disadvantage. Less than a year ago, Iniko was mistaken for a child by a small group of bandits. They tried to kidnap her in hopes of selling her off. Iniko fought to break free, but outnumbered and outmatched, she was nearly overtaken. Until strange woman Iniko had never seen intercepted without fear, offering a deal to the bandits.
The woman took Iniko and the four men who tried to sell her to an inn that evening and Iniko slept through the night for the first time in years. The next morning, the woman, quickly known to Iniko as a vampire named Camilla Blanc, came to collect her. Iniko wasn’t stupid. She knew why the men had been directed to an inn, but Camilla looked no more disheveled than she had upon meeting them. That morning, Camilla offered Iniko a job as a food source and servant. And in return, Iniko would be provided with a steady source of food, clothing and shelter.
Iniko only knew to fear vampires and she wasn’t too keen on having her blood regularly syphoned away from her. But this woman, who saved her life and was the reason Iniko had slept on a soft bed for 8 hours, was giving her a choice. Iniko readily accepted and now spends her days by Lady Camilla’s side, obeying her every word.
Personality: Iniko’s first priority at all times is to survive. This priority has shaped almost every other aspect of her personality.
Iniko becomes anxious around strangers and large crowds. She is very aware of her physical weaknesses and does her best to avoid those who might use her. Iniko is grateful to Camilla Blanc, the vampire who saved her life and continues to sustain it by housing her. Therefore, Iniko will do anything that Lady Camilla asks of her. This includes allowing Lady Camilla to feed on her blood regularly.
Aside from her desire to stay alive, Iniko is terribly curious. Her thirst for knowledge drives her. Not to mention, it pays to be educated. By books or otherwise.
Likes:
✦ Food - Iniko isn’t a picky eater. She’s always hungry.
✦ Reading - Iniko loves to learn and does not want to take her literacy for granted.
✦ Cloudy/Rainy Weather - The less the sun is out, the more Iniko can go outside with Lady Camilla. On such days when Lady Camilla has little need for Iniko, she can read in peace.
✦ Dancing - Iniko doesn’t have many opportunities to dance. But she once danced in the streets to make money for a few short years. It made those bleak years a little bit brighter. Sometimes she even believed she had a reason to dance that couldn’t be explained by the change in her pockets.
Dislikes:
✦ Complete Isolation - Iniko grew up alone. Those years of loneliness never fully left her.
✦ Large crowds - Crowded settings cause Iniko anxiety, as she could easily be lost or even snatched up.
✦ Demons - Iniko has yet to meet a demon but she’s heard enough stories to know she never wants to.
✦ Cold Weather - It’s easier to get rid of clothes in the summer heat than it is to procure clothes and blankets in the winter.
