Clover chuckled a little the thought of the exchange idea and felt her cheeks warm a little at his time statement. "Well that sounds like an interesting proposition." She said thoughtfully. "I think that my parents might be open to it. Maybe a little more if I do the learning experience bit."
Clover chuckled a little, "We do enough desk work now," she agreed. "Making a difference is a good goal, You know the best way to do that, is figure out what you can do. What is it you want to change?" she asked though she did it to get him to think she didn't expect an answer. "When you have it figured out you can see a better goal." She said with a smile.
"Yeah, but we always knew I wasn't like other girls." She winked jokingly
She smiled at his amazingly gentle touch on her cheek. She closed her eyes putting her own hand over his sandwiching it against her cheek.

Dorian was hopeful that if they could come up with a learning experience that her parents felt was a good use of Clover's time that they'd agree to her spending the summer with him. He felt rather excited about the prospect of spending the summer with Clover. Until she had brought up the idea of him coming to the farm; he had thought that his summer was going to start out rather boring. Now it sounded like he was going to have a much more eventful summer.
He thought that her advice about finding something that he wanted to change was rather good advice. He'd have to think of what needed to change the most and then make it his goal to try and fix it.
"Which is a great thing," He told her not joking in the slightest. "I like you for who you are and there's nothing about you that I would want to change."
They continued kissing for several moments before Dorian pulled away to catch his breath. He smiled at her before moving to lay next to her. "We should probably head in shortly." He said with a sigh. "Would you like to work on letters later? I think we have some to write to our parents."

Clover thought it might be rather easy to think of an idea for a learning easy idea. Even more if they went to a land that they need muggle power to get to because of the distance. She had only been to in the UK, though up till school had started it had been mostly Ireland and England.
She felt her heart flutter at his kind words "Well that's good because I've never been all that grate with pretending to be someone I'm not. I wouldn't change you ether."
After a wile of the kissing her mind was overly fuzzy. She took a deep breath when he pulled away and it took a little bit for her to find where her thoughts. She looked over at him as he spoke. "Yeah, I guess we would need to sooner or later." She said finding she wanted to kiss some more. "At least your family name is well known."

Dorian couldn't help but feel happy that Clover liked him for who he was. Though he did realize there were things about him that he had yet to really share with her. He was also certain that there were things about himself that he had yet to discover just yet. He hoped that did come up that Clover would still want to be with him. He was pretty sure that Clover would accept him though and not be the type to push him away.
He smiled at her, seeing that she wasn't quite ready to go in just yet. "Well, we don't have to go in just yet. We do have the rest of the afternoon to spend together," He told her. "Sometimes having a well-known family can be a detriment though, especially when people assume things about you." He pointed out. "Though I try not to pay any attention to what people say, it can be irritating."
He turned over on his back to glance back up at the clouds going over the blue sky. He chewed on his bottom lip for a moment and then stole a glance over at her. "Do you feel like you want to kiss some more?" He asked hopefully. There was just something so wonderful about kissing Clover's sweet lips. He was finding it hard to resist them.

She giggled a little, "It is a nice day," she agreed, "We can defnently enjoy it."
She blushed a little embarrassed, "Yeah..." she murmured remembering that she thought he'd be in an arranged marriage. She wasn't exactly a fan of that but she also knew that some of the "higher ranked" families did still do that. She had glanced over at the castle and another thought came to her, "Expectations that are before you is probably more then a lesser known family name, The expectations parents have for their kids, teacher's have for their students. Everyone has those, but expectation for someone because of their status not who they are but who they're born to. Like royals, they have to be molded from birth for those expectations. I guess it must be the same for you."
She blushed a little more at his question, wondering a little if her face said something about it. "I wouldn't be against it." she admitted.

"We should try and do this more often," Dorian said with a happy sigh. He could tell that the break from studying was doing him a lot of good. He imagined that it was helping CLover too. Getting downtime from all the brain-numbing studying was a welcome change.
Dorian glanced over at her reply and saw the redness on her cheeks. "That was true until everything that happened with my mother. My dad decided that he didn't want to saddle me with the type of expectations that he had from his own parents. So I guess there is something good that came out of all that mess." He said with a sigh. "I can't recall but I think I did tell you about everything that happened with my mom and her breaking down and going into St. Mungo's long-term care right? If not you probably should know."
Dorian couldn't help but smile at Clover's reaction. "Well... I guess we need to be closer if we want to kiss again." He said moving in a bit closer to her and pressed a soft kiss to the side of her mouth. "If you want to kiss me I wouldn't mind at all."

Clover nodded "Yeah, It is nice to be able to just relax some." she agreed. "Being out in this weather is nice."
Clover couldn't help but feel bad for Dorian. It seemed like his childhood must have gone from one hell to another. It seems that once his mother got ill, his father shut down, more or less. She was a little stunned when he wanted to talk more about his mother, that it made her sit up some. "Well you've told me she's there, that she's not getting out any time soon, so I figured it's most likely that she had a bad spell hit her. And just learned that it seems like your grooming had stopped because of it, at least by your dad. But other than that, I knew it was a hard subject for you so I didn't ask for too much more than that. Not to mention it wasn't really right of me to try to do so since it really wasn't my place to know more."
She couldn't help but smile a little at his playful ploy. It was kind of attractive, "Good thing badgers are immune to snake venom. Because with such honey in those words I'd hate to be hurt too." She said rather flirtatiously. She looked into his light green eyes before giving him a light peck of her own

Dorian smiled back at her. "And it's supposed to be nice all weekend too. No rain, can you imagine that?"
He found himself somewhat relaxing at Clover's telling him what she recalled hearing. "Well, she wasn't hit by a bad spell. SHe tried to obliviate certain memories and wiped too many out. She sometimes remembers me, but very rarely. That's partly why my father doesn't make me see her more often. It's kind of like she went through Alzheimers and has forgotten that she had a kid, or was even married at times." He explained.
"It's hardest on my father because all he wants to do is comfort her and she starts freaking out and reacts badly. What's worse is sometimes she recalls magic and tries to do spells, which don't always work out correctly. So she has to be kept in a separate room with special wards up. To think my dad was trying to watch her and make sure nothing happened for years before trying to get help says a lot."
"I don't mind you knowing, it actually helps to have someone to talk to." He added. "That is if talking about it doesn't bother you at all."
Dorian raised an eyebrow at her words and couldn't help but grin. "It is a good thing, " He agreed with a grin. "Well honey is tastier," He whispered back before she pecked him on the lips. "Though I could use a lot more than a pinch." He teased.

"Yeah, too bad they didn't have a trip into town planned for it." she agreed.
Clover listened sympathetically, she having both her parents and one and a half sets of grandparents, she couldn't feel how hard it had to be for him with a mother that was a shell of her former self. The closest he could get was Emma's mom but she knew that it still wasn't the same thing. "I'm sorry that happened to you. If it helps you feel better, I don't mind." she said when he was done.
She giggled a little and wrapped her arms around his neck, "That is true." she agreed before letting her lips press against his as if they were pulled in by some kind of gravity of their own.

Dorian thought he heard an almost wistful sound in Clover's voice. "Well, we could go to Hogsmeade tomorrow if you want. We probably just have to let our head of houses know so that someone knows where we are. I'm pretty sure we can go without it being an official trip the school has planned. We are old enough to be responsible for ourselves."
Dorian was rather glad that Clover wasn't too overwhelmed at what he told her about his mother. He'd only ever shared it with his close friends before, most of whom had gone through some pretty tough things before. "Thanks for saying that. I appreciate it a great deal. Not too many people want to listen to that sort of thing. They prefer to just talk about light-hearted and fun things."
Dorian couldn't help but wrap his arms around Clover, smiling at her giggle and the feel of her arms around his neck. He lost himself once more in the softness of her lips, pressing his own a bit harder to her own.
They made out until they were a bit breathless and finally pulled apart to catch their breaths again. Dorian felt a bit chilled when the breeze ran over him and realized it had gotten rather late and the sun was starting to go down. "Well..we should probably go in now, it's starting to get rather cool out here. The last thing I want is for you to catch a cold." He said getting up and starting to pack everything up.
"I had a lot of fun on our date, I hope we can do this again soon." He told Clover with a happy grin

Clover smiled a little, "I still have a painting I need to finish for my art class, and since I started it this morning I should probably spend some more time on it. But luckily thanks to you I've gotten the rest of my boring classes homework finished for the weekend. So as nice as that sounds it's probably better not to."
Clover nodded, "Of coarse, It's easy to talk about things that make you happy. " She agreed. "Besides you know what I'm scared of, so I know it's hard to.... talk about things that don't make you too happy." She admitted "I know li..lightning.... isn't quite a good comparison for the hardships you've had as a child, but if it helps you, then I don't mind." she added though she really had to force herself to even say the word lightning.
She couldn't help but feel safe in Dorian's arms, Though he seemed to have some more passion in this kiss then that of the one before. It made her heart pound with excitement, yet she hoped he didn't hear it pounding.
When they parted to breath she let out a soft contented sigh, "Alright," She said, "Time does fly when you're having a good time." she said glancing around some. "It is Autumn so it would defnently be getting colder and darker quicker." She agreed. "It was really nice. And unexpected." she added kissing his cheek "Maybe next time, I'll look a little more presentable and not have paint in my hair... or face." she smiled. "It was a nice surprise though." She said getting both of their brooms from their practice earlier that day as he did the picnic stuff. "Wonderful really," She smiled, "I really don't know the standards for first dates, but to me, the only thing that could have made it more perfect, was if I had checked a mirror for paint. I can't wait for our next one."

Dorian nodded, understanding that she had other plans and things she wanted to finish that weekend. "Well maybe once you finish it you'll show me tomorrow. If you finish early, maybe we could go for a walk around the lake. You'll be needed some fresh air I imagine." He said smiling at her.
He couldn't agree with Clover more when she replied. He rather liked that she was someone he could trust and talk to about anything and everything. He knew it had been hard for her to trust him with her own secret fear. "I don't think it really matters in the long run. As long as we are comfortable with confiding and sharing with one another that's all that really matters. I'm glad I have you in my life Clover." He told her quite seriously.
Dorian smiled at her when soft sigh and moved a hand up to brush some stray hairs back from her face before they pulled away. "Yeah, we'll have to make the most of the nice weather while we can. " He agreed. He felt his face flush slightly at the kiss she placed on his cheek. "I don't really care about the paint, I think you're beautiful with or without it." He told her seriously.
He couldn't help but smile happily at her as he picked up the basket and the blanket and moved to take her hand with his free one. "Well next time, I'll try and plan it out with you ahead of time. Though..if you feel like surprising me I wouldn't mind." He said as they slowly walked back to the castle.

Clover smiled, "I like that idea," she said, it would be a nice way to end the day if she got done before dinner that was.
Clover smiled and nodded some. "Yeah you're right, if we weren't willing to talk about the hard stuff, I guess it would be kind of silly to be dating. But I'm glad to have you in mine as well."
She blushed a little at his complement. "Thank you," was all she could get out. She still wasn't use to being called beautiful. She knew her room mates were just itching to give her a make over, not that she didn't know how to put on make up, she just didn't see the need for it every day.
Since he took her hand she decided to hold on to both brooms half slung over her shoulder and tucked in her arm. "Well I might have to ask for help if I'm going to do a surprise date." She admitted. "If I can't think of anything that is." she added as they walked slowly into the castle she really didn't want to part ways but once they reached the point where they had to part ways, she kissed his cheek again before handing him his broom, and double checking if it was the right one, since they both bought the same one back in summer. "Bye" she said before going into Hufflepuff House to finish her paintings for her classes.
