I'm looking to gauge interest in trying some live Gaia/Ghistalt-based D&D/Pathfinder. I'd DM, and have only a single plot arc planned out. Depending on how things go, it'd take around 10-15 2-3 hour sessions.
To elaborate;
It'd be LIVE, meaning we'd have active sessions, not a post-when-you-can type RP. We'd figure out a time that works the best for the most people, and play for several hours, all at once, each week or every other week. This would be a combination of Discord for voice chat, and roll20 for a virtual tabletop.
It'd be Gaia-based, meaning you'd be playing as your Avatar OC, as opposed to creating a new OC just for the campaign. We'll use avatars essentially as miniatures. They'd be used for NPCs and enemies, as well. Pick a weapon or two for your character to carry. You wouldn't have to keep that avatar equipped the whole time, just use it and submit it for use. The idea behind it is to establish some Clan-canon. Clanon.
We'd use the Pathfinder system as a base, since that's what I know best. I'd work with each person to develop a (somewhat) balanced representation of each person's OC. Custom spells, skills, etc would be 100% okay and even encouraged, but your magical 10,000 year old katana that can cut through anything and kills anyone with a single touch will have story reasons for not being allowed on this particular adventure. Of course, if you have some reason you need your super OP weapon, because it contains your character's very soul and he can't put it down or he'll die, we'll work something out.
Plot Preview:
Emyre's been missing without a word for several weeks. Reyla set out to find him, and after a couple of weeks you finally hear from her. In the Ghistalt Clan Hall, you find a note from her; she's found a lead on Emyre's whereabouts, but needs some help to scour the city where she thinks he could be. Anyone who can help gathers at dock 7 in the city of Charter, where Reyla's prepared a boat to take them off to the floating city of Magitha, Emyre's hometown, and current source of a massive pillar of light.
