South Downtown is an area to the south and west of Downtown meaning that it also borders the South End and Warehouse district. The area itself is still fairly crowded like downtown but more sprawling rather than built up like the downtown area itself. In part this is because it's an older part of the city. Many of New Brockton's residents live in this area among the apartment complexes or "brown stone" houses.

                                                    • The walk from the Boardwalk to the south side of the downtown had been a long one. One of him just listening to his thoughts and thinkings over. In honest perspective... things felt different, for once maybe his life was in his hands. Not that his life had never been, but with a grand in his pocket, it felt different. As if he didn't have to truly rely on anyone anymore if he just kept doing what he did today. Lincoln knew in the back of his head that he was only fooling himself. The false pretense that being a street performer could guarantee him a stable living and possibly a home where he could just depend on himself. In times like this, the young parahuman wished his grandparents were alive and he could just go home to see them one more time. To taste his grandmother's famous apple pie one last time.

Perhaps, this could be a start of a new life. A year had passed since his grandparents passing, his trigger event, and things were finally coming back into perspective. Lincoln pulled out his phone and started to catch up on some current events. Whilst, he wasn't too sure if he truly wanted to be in the world of capes. Whether he liked it or not, he had to be aware of things that occurred in that world. It was ingrained in everything: the media, lifestyle, hell even education. As Lincoln's eyes scanned the small screen of his phone, there was apparently a ton of stuff going on. Especially in New York but not just there, in New Brockton as well. There was a bounty on some parahuman that killed some family in the suburb. Catching his breath, Lincoln felt himself going back to grandparents, he couldn't relive that. He took a quick glance at his photo but stopped really focusing on it as he heard spray paint.

His blue eyes glanced down the alleyway of two buildings to find a woman in scrubs and some troubled youth. Usually, he would keep walking but something about caught his attention. "I know we're supposed to be all about expressing ourselves but aren't you a little too old for the whole rebellion by street art?" Plus, it was the Undersiders' territory which could go a number of ways depending on who saw it. He knew they could be capes trying to get some street cred, but was this really the best way to do it? "Not that it's any of my business."

Solomon Radha. The man the, the legend, jk. A well known cape amongst the teens of this age. He had became quite well known because of his model work and his looks, it was not the real reason he had moved here, he wanted to help the world with his powers but for now all he could do was get smiles out of kids in hospitals, it was a something to be proud of at least, smiles never came easy with how things are turning out. Leaving his hotel wearing a grey hoodie and some sweatpants, he did not really want be recognized right now, he just wanted to have a run with himself and music.

Not very long after he started jogging he heard voices shouting his name behind him, his first reaction was to start sprinting like he had not notice a single thing, maybe they would just think it was a mistake. So wrong he was, fans seemed to be pouring out of the walls chasing him. Solomon started taking turn into every alley he could find to see if he could lose them, at this moment he wished he had gained powers to fly or move super fast, it would for sure help him keep his mind cleared instead of running all over the place.

Looking back towards where the fans were coming from to his surprise there was no one behind him, turning forward again to notice there was someone in front of him, Solomon was in no state to be able to stop his run right now, bumping straight into the female and falling straight on his a**, the hoodie on his head falling revealing his golden white hair. "Ouch." He would say with a slight pained look then quickly turning towards the person he had just hit. "Are you ok, miss?" Solomon would ask with the warmest smile ever, hopefully he had not hurt anyone. Quickly looking up at the two male, the girl and the situation he had ran into to, only notice the people around him were spraying a wall? Hopefully Solomon had not ran into some gang meetup, that would have been very unlucky for him

                                      • Lincoln eyed the two for a brief second, taking in their reactions. Had he scared the woman? No, it seemed she wasn't scared. More along the lines of bothered from the look of it. His eyes narrowed as he analyzed the situation. The guy had also jumped but unlike the female, he was tense. Lincoln pushed the thoughts to the side since he had no reason to worry about it. However, there was something about the guy that nagged at him.

Distracted by the nagging sensation, Lincoln nearly let the can hit him before catching it. It seemed as if age was a really sensitive topic for this one. "You sure you aren't already there? You sound like my gra-." It was too soon. The thought of his grandmother still pained him pretty hard. The fact he had taken his time to get home. He pushed the thought out of his head and shook the spray can and sprayed a decorative pattern onto the wall. The fumes were pretty strong, so he just threw the can aside as he started coughing. Why had he even bother, he was a little too old himself for peer pressure. Not that he had experienced a whole bunch of it.

Lincoln started to hear a challenging tone from her which was cut short by someone bumping into her. With the hoodie off his head, he knew right away who the mystery man was and why it trigger the flight response in the wayward youth. The platinum blond man went by the name of Mr. Sandman, a well-known cape. Personally, he thought he was fake and it was only a matter of time before he showed it. Girls, hell even guys were obsessed with him and it kind of made him frustrated at how easily capes could influence their world.

Though, now that he returned his attention to his environment and not the appearance of some... cape. Which made Lincoln realize that the wayward kid had once again taken off. Not that the kid was gone, it made him realize that that the thing that been nagging him was the kid. He was the kid that had the bounty on him. Lincoln's blue eyes widen and started searching the alley for a hint. Then he saw it, the thing he had been spray on the wall. Misdeamoner. "s**t." He muttered to himself as he pulled out his phone to verify that it was true. "That was Misdeamoner." Lincoln didn't expect the other two to pick on what he was talking about, but it was something going on the news. He wasn't that dangerous of a cape in the term of powers, but he had a rather blatant disregard for human life. His powers caused people to become misdirected when not focusing on him. The more you focused on him the less potent his powers were. But at the end of the day, he was a murderer.

Solomon would quickly pick himself up from the floor and dust himself off, scratching the back of his head all flustered. "I'm... Totally sorry about that... I was running and lost myself." In those eyes? No. Solomon should not say that to a complete stranger after accidentally tackling them like he was trying out for a football game. Scratching the back of his head. he would keep smiling. It seemed that the girl knew who he was? "We should get that checked out at the hospital if you want... It's my fault for not watching where was going." It actually was hundred percent his fault for bumping into her. "I do spend a good amount of time in the hospital, the smiles from the kids always give me comfort... Do you happen to work there?" He indeed had been visiting the hospital a lot theses past few years, it was something he could do to help those that needed extra hope in their life. Solomon's accent was still quite strong, some found it charming and some found it annoying, honestly it was just a trait that proved that he was an outsider.

Looking around once more Solomon would notice that the forth member from the group had simply vanished like it was looney tunes cartoon, kinda strange really. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything too major here." From what it looked like. The one who had left them did not want too much attention, Solomon had no idea why though but he was damn sure the reason were not pure. Looking towards the other male as he swore and spoke after looking at his phone. "You were searching for that young gentleman?" From his reaction beforehand it showed that he wanted something from the street artist, Solomon was hoping that it wasn't something bad but regardless of the situation he would offer his help, it was his fault that escape happened in the first place. "The name is Solomon Radha... I will offer all the help I can." Solomon would give a slight bow towards the two in a apologetic way more than anything. Offering to help was not the most sound decision he could make right now but soon enough he was sure to find out what the intentions behind all of this was. For now he was doing his job, helping those in need.

Cleric walked halfway down the bustling street before approaching a somewhat rundown apartment building. This looks like the place, all the money in the world, and they ain't able to rent out a better building? Typical. Cleric pulled out his cellphone, checked the address sent to him only a few minutes before. This was definitely the place. He'd taken the last of his supply, had about 7 hours before he'd need more. That'd be an issue if heroes were out tonight, or if the trade here wasn't that great. Those were issues for later though, for now he needed to rearm and get details on that job he'd heard about. Cleric put his mask on, and ascended the stairs. Nobody on the street would notice unless they were watching him specifically, and if that were the case it was too late already.

Cleric knocked 3 times, paused then a fourth. Operator knock, got you in at any time, even in broad daylight. The door opened immediately, clearing a path for him to enter. The poor guy who's job it was to man the door didn't make eye contact when Cleric looked his way. What'd he do to deserve this? Only people that'd royally f*cked up got door duty. Eh, not his problem. Cleric continued through the safehouse. He got much the same reaction from everyone in the building, people avoided his gaze like it was the plague. Operators were some of the most deadly people in Black Gate, it made sense for people to be afraid, but he didn't like it. Cleric continued upstairs into the weapon storage room. He felt his power hum, crackling on the edge of his conscious. Ever since a few weeks ago, he'd developed a natural understanding of ballistic weaponry, and how they'd worked, he could also create ammo for said weaponry outta thin air. The things his power told him were things he'd known before, but now he could recall them with perfect accuracy, something that he might not have been able to do before. If he was a cape, he wasn't any big shot, maybe a 2 at best, probably a 1. Cleric approached the man sitting at the desk in front of the gun racks.

"I need 2 of those handguns there, 3 magazines for each, to renew my doctors subscription for this month, and my pay for last month, if I may?" It wasn't really a question, just basic decency.
"Yessir, just sign here, here, and here." the man at the desk slid a clipboard with a set of papers on it, where Cleric needed to sign was highlighted in yellow.

After finishing all that up, Cleric started for the door. Newly equipped and payed, he took his mask off before stepping back outside and assimilating with the busy street traffic.

                                      • A hint of annoyance could be caught in Lincoln's blue eyes. He knew it wasn't Solomon's fault, but God if he could punch him in his perfect jaw he would. That was the problem with heroes they did what they had to do to be good, righteous, and increase their fame in the public's eye, but the real s**t. They paid no attention to. Lincoln could feel the frustration boiling in him like a kettle getting ready to blow, but he stopped and sighed. There was a reason why he kept to himself. He didn't want to be a hero nor a villain, but at times he wished he could make a difference. There a was a good possibility Mr. Sandman had his heart in the right place, but ******** him and his perfect jaw.

For a brief moment, Lincoln could have sworn to himself and with God as his witness that these people were complete idiots. They probably were, but as it was. He was extremely tilted or as some would say, he had his panties in a bunch. "Well if I wanted to be cheeky I'd go to the park or something." Despite his frustration that would lead to a storm off in a normal situation, he needed them. With a deep breath, he took a deep breath and exhaled.

I probably should talk to somebody. I think I have so anger ******** issues. Holy crap. Jeezus. He shoved his hands into his pocket and realized he didn't have his mask on. Which mean he couldn't use his powers or do anything that would allow Solomon to identify who he was later. He needed to figure it out he was going to apprehend Misdeamoner, but also to protect himself as well. "I don't... lead the way." There was a hint of defeat in his voice, but so were the ways of the world.

Solomon couldn't help but be surprised at the mention of Poppy doing a double shift, in a way he respected her way more now that he knew she worked at a hospital, sadly from his past knowledge he knew that those people were the true heroes, unappreciated heroes. They were there for the good and the bad, through pain and death. Solomon had visited the hospital enough to appreciate the works a lot, they were the true grays in the black and white spectrum that was hero and villains. Solomon couldn't help but smile. "I stay out of my peers business so the hospital is where I go to help people." For the most part that was true, he was known to be a hero but not known for his flashy fights, for stopping villains or saving the world, he was known for his charisma and looks, sadly the poster boy for the wards.

"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Fields. I would love to offer a good cup of coffee for the both of you after.... Wait? Misdemeanor?" I guess the cup of coffee that Poppy deserved would have to wait for a little longer. Even Solomon who had not kept up with small crimes had heard that name before, if this kid had been after someone like it could only mean the had some kind of ability or that he was insane enough, those two were the most probable scenarios. I guess they were indeed about to find out. "Please do lead the way." Solomon would say with a courteous movement of his arms, by now they both probably knew who he was and an outfit was not gonna change anything at all, the running attire would have to suffice. Solomon was not really happy with what they were about to do, he always thought that his powers were very... Situational. He never really pictured himself using them in combat very effectively, that being one of the reasons he had stayed out of cape work until now.

It was interesting to see how the other two were, both with hands in their pockets and not friendly looking, somewhat the same but different, the girl worked at the hospital which meant she still cared at least a little bit. In the other hand, the kid seemed... Angry? Solomon wasn't about to judge someone he had just met, people were raised in different circumstances and had different lives overall, that was one of the many beauties of meeting people in big cities like this, if you tried hard enough you could learn many great things just by observing how others treat one another from small interactions like a handshake to bigger and more intimate interactions, a great big world, sadly not everyone could see it that way.

There wasn't much to be done today besides just lounging about after a hard day's work of coercing money out of other people in a manner that probably would make the Wards shake their head. Annette had spent the majority of the day on a laptop inside of one of those shitty little coffee shops where the art grads hung out and talked about their dreams while the scent of coffee was heavy in the air. I wouldn't need to come here, but it beats the hell out of the apartment's wifi. She thought to herself while scrolling through a page dedicated to shopping online. Her order of some furnishings for her barren living quarters had been paid in full and she even had enough money to spare for some shitty hot chocolate that was sitting in the open for a few hours or so. A win-win situation. Looking over her computer to gaze at the daywalkers, she wondered what was out there doing today, looking down at her covered arm while giving it a scratch. Those fancy powers of hers came in heavy when it came to paper cuts and other things. The screaming was a bit of a buzzkill along with the mess though. "Wonder if anything will drop my way soon." She mumbled to herself and opened a new tab while browsing her social media for something interesting. "Nothing but clickbait and people I don't remember."
