Krynn blinked, her wide boa eyes watching as Rajin looked over her and.. apologized? Well, that was nice to hear. The snake was almost a little flattered, but the apology was quickly followed by a request for help. She rubbed her eyes of the sleepiness and gave a small yawn but nodded to the genie. Krynn stood slowly and moved around the couch slowly, still a little groggy but coherent to what her husband requested. Normally, she might have scolded him playfully for falling asleep that way.. well, maybe not normally. Before, when they were on better terms, when they would drink together and watch movies or go out or - Krynn attempted to push these thoughts away, but they persisted and she gave a little laugh as she took Rajin's head and neck into her hands, "You know," She began, giving his head a small jerk and being rewarded with cracks and pops, "If you didn't drink so much," Now to the other side, perhaps painful and relaxing all at once, "You wouldn't fall asleep so uncomfortably," She set his head upright and released him.. though not before giving a few gentle squeezes to his neck and shoulders, her fingers lingering as she walked around the couch to be able to face him once more. Krynn crossed her arms in front of her once more, "Now you can help me. You still have any of my clothes?" Perhaps some of the things she left behind were taken with Rajin when he moved. She doubted it, considering his many escapades with ladies.. but it was worth a shot.

The second Rajin's neck snapped back into its proper place, the ifrit felt an unbearable sting followed by relief. The genie softly whined in pain before letting it subside. Rajin rubbed the back of his neck feeling any knotted muscles. He wanted to make so kind of comeback to the lamia's comment on where he fell asleep, but just couldn't find the right words or focus through the sharp pain. When the pain was gone, Krynn stood in front of the ifrit. Rajin looked up at the lamia, taking in her sight with sober eyes. Long ivory hair and snow white skin. A dignified lady she was. The casual look of jeans and a simple gave her a certain authority. While it most likely wasn't on purpose, the ifrit was a little turned on by the lamia's slightly pouty look. The crossed arms over her breasts that squished together. The sight almost made Rajin forget his hangover. When asked he still had any of Krynn's clothes, the ifrit pointed to the door that lead to his expansive sleeping quarters. "Black trunk. In the closet." He said massaging his head.
He was just itching to say something back, to give some clever remark to be able to keep going back and forth - but he didn't, and Krynn smiled at this. Maybe the hungover genie would just let it be, but she watched as he appraised her form and stood a little straighter - though, she wasn't slouching much to begin with, her pose upright and confident despite covering herself from Rajin's eyes. She noticed the way he didn't exactly meet her eyes when he pointed to the other room and answered her question, but she smiled all the same and went into the room to find something of her's to wear around her husband. The room was extravagant, but the snake paid little mind to his bedroom and instead focused on finding the black trunk that held her belongings. She sifted through the clothes he had of her's, but most would be ill-fitting and inappropriate to wear around Rajin anymore. Krynn managed to find an old dress that, when put on, was a tad shorter than she remembered it being - her fingertips long past the hem of the outfit and the fabric not as sturdy as something she would wear nowadays. It was a dark red color with long sleeves and an A-line skirt, giving her hips the illusion of looker broader, but cleavage was nowhere to be found and for that, Krynn was glad. Pulling her hair from the braid and running her fingers through it, the snake exited the room and spoke up to the ifrit, "We should go somewhere," Oh, right.. she forgot to mention that Zetaya cleared the day for her. She should call her soon.

When Krynn left the room, Rajin turned on his side laid down on plush red couch. Finally, his body could relax from sitting up all night. The fire genie took a pillow and put it over his face to block out the incoming light. Everything was just so bright and he hated it. The ifrit groaned as his head thumped. Why did he think drowning himself in liquor was a good idea? As far as Rajin could tell, the only good that came out of it was somehow convincing Krynn to stay around.
When the lamia came back, Rajin felt a little pang in his head when she talked. Her voice wasn't loud, but it still her the sensitive ifrit. He moaned as the effects of his hangover worsened. Krynn wanted to go out. In order to do that, Rajin would need to rid himself of the bloody death-craving headache he had. The ifrit groaned and waved his free hand around erratically. "Phone..." Rajin moaned in overly dramatic pain.
When Krynn came around the couch once more and saw the pitiful ifrit groaning and whining beneath a pillow, she rolled her eyes but gave a quiet laugh, "You should know better than to consume so much," Said the woman, a hand to her hip as she scanned the couch she where she tossed the phone the night before. Picking it up, the snake held it in her hands as she sat next to Rajin. While one hand held the phone, the closest one began gently rubbing the genie's arm, "You need some water at the very least. We can stay in if you're that sick," Perhaps she was being too kind, taking her mind back to when they were younger. Always back to when things were better, when they were just kids in this world that couldn't wait to live their lives together despite their beginnings. She wanted to bring up his confession, to talk about the way she found herself craving his warmth when she was alone on a trip - which was, actually, most of the time.. though she might not admit to that. But she just continued to rub his arm and reminisce on the past and scenarios of the future.
However, the snake did grin and speak up about his phone, "But no phone calls either way. No deals today," Maybe Rajin would get angry, but today didn't need to be messed up by her husband's "work" or heated phone calls. The only exception she could think of would be Zetaya, but she didn't suspect he would willingly call her. Krynn was a sneaky one, even holding his phone far out of his reach as she turned it off while still being gentle with her actions. If today was going to go well, on the town or in the penthouse, she couldn't have it mucked up by sleazy business or angry threats being yelled into a phone - or, her mind flashed, another woman calling to follow up with the genie. She tried not to think too much of what it meant that she stayed, she would be gone before they knew it and off to the next destination.. but she could at least have this time with him, right? They could return to their lives as usual and nothing would change.

It was true. The mighty ifrit seemed to be reduced to a petty prima donna whining about a hangover. The genie continued to hold out his hand, waiting for his cellphone to simply plop down into his hand. It didn't happen though. As soon as Rajin heard that his wife would not give him the phone, the genie curled his fingers and gave a nasty low growl. "I'm calling for medicine." Rajin muffled underneath his pillow. Perhaps he was just being a crybaby. The ifrit had been through worse pain and this was nothing compared. "I just need the phone to call for some pills. After that we can get some breakfast or something." Rajin was probably a lousy negotiator, but a,lot of people probably would be too if they weren't able to suppress the amount of pain he felt.
"Nope," Grinned the snake, watching him make a fist and listening as he growled over his needs. "If you can't get it from a convenience store, you don't need it," He probably wanted something a lot stronger than some Tylenol, but if she gave in now it would set the course for the day. Krynn scrunched up her nose some and stood, straightening out the skirt and then unceremoniously putting the genie's phone in her bra - which, without cleavage, would be a feat to retrieve - before she went behind the bar. She searched about for a moment and found a glass that she filled with water, returning to Rajin and delicately moving the pillow from his frustrated face. "Drink up," Krynn held a hand out for him to take, never faltering in her cheery demeanor and gentle care of the ifrit. Perhaps it would come across as too false or too strong.. but there was a rather large part of the snake that wanted today to feel the way it used to. The lamia woman found herself - for maybe the first time on this trip - internally thanking Zetaya for sending her here.

The nasty feeling ifrit snarled again. There was no convincing the lamia. He wouldn't be getting his hangover medication to bail him out this time. Instead, he'd be going commando. Rajin braced himself for the light of day as he pulled the pillow off from his eyes. The burning brightness was like staring into the sun up close. Despite all of this, the genie simply looked like someone who had just been staring at a computer screen for way too long. His eyes bloodshot and burning, head throbbing, and jaws clenched shut. Yet, he didn't take any of it out on Krynn. He made no eye contact with the lamia, but took the glass of water she handed to him and dumped it onto his face. The cold water was a bit of a harsh wake up, but it was refreshing nonetheless. Soothing his burning eyes and cooling his hot head. The ifrit slowly rose up and sat with his back hunched over. His black matted hair clinging to his brow and snarling maw. "Ok." The ifrit muttered in a pained growl. "Let's go get some pancakes or something. Just please, for the love of the sands, let me get a Bloody Mary or something."
Krynn watched on as Rajin squinted against the sun and clenched his jaw so tightly she worried he might break a tooth. The snake shifted her stance only slightly, but there was a defense to it - she expected anger from him, suspected that her stubbornness was perhaps a little too much, maybe she should let up a little.. but then he simply took the drink and poured it over his face. Grinning and visibly relaxing, the Zmeya offered a hand to her grumpy husband. Even as the genie spoke, Krynn gave a shrug and kept her hand out, "Whatever you want," Still smiling, her eyes gave off a little gleam as she spoke again, "Except the phone," This was more firm, her brows furrowed a little for emphasis. When he hadn't seen her hand yet, she crouched and put the hand to his cheek, looking up to him now with her round eyes. Pouting some to Rajin, Krynn spoke with a softness that differed from her tones before, "Come on, cheer up. It can't be so bad to spend the day with me."
( I am so sorry for the amount of time it has taken me to post here again. I just found my charger a few days ago since the move and have been working so much it was hard to find time. Sorry again !! emotion_bigheart )

Rajin tightened his jaw like a pair of bolt cutters around a rusted chains as he stood up taking his wife's hand for extra support, expecting a rush of pain. He was right, but it wasn't as bad as it should have been for a normal human. An ordinary man probably would have died from the amount of alcohol last night. Rajin lived only because of efreeti bloodline and the boones that came from such lineage.
The casino CEO pushed his matted wet hair hair back and clicked it behind his ears. "Ok. I'm up. Now let's go get something to eat." He commented wryly. Truth be told, any other time, and history aside, Rajin probably would have been quite excited to spend a day with his estranged wife. "I could use some waffles or pancakes. What do you want?" Rajin asked as he made his way for the elevator to go the ground floor of his mighty casino. The ifrit wondered if Krynn still had a sweet tooth for corn dogs and other fast food confectionery.
( oh my gosh I must not have gotten the quote since I changed my username!! I'm so sorry ugh )
The snake welcomed the warmth of his hand, helping him up without issue.. though he did move a little slow and still seemed unwelcoming of the day ahead, Krynn decided not to let that bother her and beamed at him. With a gleaming smile, she watched him slick back his hair and suggest they get going - but her eyes lit up when he mentioned sweet breakfast foods. Krynn followed after Rajin towards the elevator, speaking in a voice that edged with just a little bit of excitement - maybe it was the idea of sweets with Rajin once again, maybe it was just the sweets, but it was there - "I would kill for a funnel cake," She laughed a little after saying so, but there might have been some truth to it. The snake wasn't one for really spoiling herself anymore, sticking primarily to a healthy diet and routine excersize. Snacks and treats were never too tempting once she settled into her lifestyle, but being around the fireball was bringing out something in her that she couldn't place.. and that she didn't mind.
Once in the elevator, Krynn found herself standing closer to Rajin than she was required to.
