狐熊の殺し屋 Family Echo ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ The herd known as "The Kitsunekuma" are contracted killers, otherwise known as assassins or hitmen. Their name literally means fox-bear (----> 狐熊) because they have the paws of bears but the tail and the wit of a fox. (Pronounced: Ki-tsu-ne-ku-ma)
They can be cruel, they can be hospitable, they can be anything you like but it's rare that you would meet them and they would give you their real name and not lie to your face. It's part of of how they protect their identity and their herd. They don't want to be tracked or traced. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Basic Rules ⅰ Stay with in the soquili guidelines and Gaia's TOS. ⅱ Be nice to each other. ⅲ Have fun. Herd Guidelines ⅰ The Dam ( Inari ) makes the main decisions with The Sire ( Yuuta ), but other members do have input in suggestions and voting. ( Inari's brother's will always have some part of the decision making. ) ⅱ Be respectful to each other ( that goes for respecting the other owners and their characters within the group) ⅲ The Kitsunekuma are generally intelligent killers who usually intend to kill efficiently with little to no traces left behind. Not all characters in the herd may be so bright in the future, so those who are not so bright are not required to stay under cover ( but it doesn't mean they should get caught, if they are on jobs ). ⅳ Tradition is important IC. OOC not so much but they still musn't go blabbing secrets. ⅴ If a soquili in the group wants to go on a personal quest, then it is on them and not the group ( this kill should also not effect the group unless plotted to do so, however there would be consequences for your character ). ⅵ They really do care only about each other ( as of this moment, it can change once they mix with others ) and see each other as very valuable people in their lives. After so many years of training they'd rather not replace you or lose you. ⅶ Stay away from Skinwalkers, only go near them if you have to and if you do go near them, have backup. ⅷ Once you learn the secrets of the group, it's very hard to leave, alive ( they wouldn't want anything getting out ). ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

FAQ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Can I join? Anyone can join as long as you stick around to plot and sometimes RP for group events. All breeds of soquili are fine, except for Skinwalkers because of breed restrictions (they're not group animals and wouldn't stand for being around other people, they would rather slaughter the group than join them). Do I have to custom in to join? Nope! I want this to be open to other soquili, some who may not have found their path yet possibly. Are they evil / bad? Some could call them such because they kill other creatures, but I don't think they feel like they are evil. Are they for hire? Of course! Performance gigs - Dance performances for all occasions~! Ceremonial gigs - Lifematings, funerals, blessings, etc Hits - ( if it's agreed upon with the owner of the soquili who is the target, then yes that's fine.) It's rare that they don't succeed in killing when they intend to kill. If you want your soquili mauled or mangled up though (without the intention of them dying) just find a way to threaten them, piss them off or get in their way on a bad day and job's a good 'un. Can they take days off to wander, go on a small adventure or have their own interests? Of course they can! Where do they live? Where are their territories? They are a traveling herd, they move from place to place and never stay around too long to become well known by the locals. They may end up in your soquili's territory, usually they are minding their own business, usually. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Beliefs ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Sprits and Spiritual Essence The original 6 members are firm believers in Animism, they believe that all natural non-soquili entities and inanimate objects have some form of spiritual essence. This includes everything from trees to rocks, bats to birds and everything in between.
They believe that their bodies are just vessels for their spirit and that life does not end when they are killed but they may never again live the life they live right now.
They do not impose their beliefs on others outside of the herd. Death ✿ Dying in action is seen as a burden to the herd, it would mean having to train another member to be in their place (and that's not easy).
✿ Dying from old age is not seen as a burden as such because they should have had enough time to train up a replacement and life will not have been cut short. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Clothing ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Clothing and Accessories The Kitsunekuma all have ceremonial "clothing and accessories" as well as day to day wear.
On jobs however, they may not choose to wear their day to day clothes but instead they may wear disguises or not wear anything at all.
(Ceremonial clothing is pictured in "clothed" uncerts. Day to day clothing can be without clothes / accessories or an extra obi of their choice, often not as ornate as the ceremonial clothing.)
Fetlock binding- soquili with long fetlocks will often wrap up their fetlocks so they don't get snagged on anything during missions or chores. The fetlocks are unwrapped when they are relaxing or during ceremonies. Think of it like loose wrapped bandages. The binding never crosses joints of a soquili's legs so it does not hinder their movement. Dressing and Binding Process (For the sake of RP and knowing how it all works.)
Ceremonial Clothing: can take 2 to 3 pawed/ hooved soquili or 1 or 2 clawed soquili to help tie the obi, the fabrics are special so a lot of care must be aken.
Fetlock binding: can take one or two other soquili to help them bind the fetlocks.
Day to day clothing: One other soquili to help them dress or none. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Basic ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Stance and Balance Practice ✿ This is generally practiced by children and soquili who are new to the group. ✿ This is the starting point for both Dance and Combat. Basic Distraction Distraction is classified by acting and non-acting distractions. ✿ Acting: A distraction or diversion which requires a soquili to put on a persona, act or dance is classed as an acting distraction. ✿ Non-acting: Non-acting distraction skills are done by the use of sounds, movement or simply kicking sand in someone's eyes (this move is obviously a last resort). Basic Numerical This is used for trading and bartering when it comes to discussing a job with a client. They have to be able to count so they can know that they're not getting ripped off. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Dance ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Dance is used as a means of exercise, entertainment and tradition. Dances of importance and techniques are listed below: Kodomo Dance ✿ One of the first dances a child will learn, it's simple but it is good for practicing balance and strengthening the legs. Coming of Age Dance Only performed once or twice in a lifetime of a soquili. ✿ Performed by a child and their mother ( sometimes they can perform with their siblings, often they will start one by one, in order of which was birthed first ). ✿ If a child is without a mother then the leader of the group (or the highest ranking soquili present) will dance with them in place of the mother. ✿ The dance starts with the mother and ends with the child. ✿ The dance is done to show strength and coordination, there are set moves that a soquili must learn to show that they are fully in control, there is also a moment of freestyle if the soquili wants to impress. ✿ Without completing this a member of the herd is not considered an adult. ✿ This must be witnessed by atleast 2 soquili in the group (who are not dancing) but is usually done in the evening before a feast. ✿ At this feast the new adult is congratulated and they are now allowed to take on jobs. Kabuki Only males can perform Kabuki as it is tradition. ✿ Often they perform Kabuki to other herds or small groups of soquili for a trade of some sort. ✿ Kabuki shows are often about folklore. Notes on Dance Role-Plays Dance lesson RPs are done with a random number generator (only the student uses this, not the teacher) unless it's agreed upon that your soquili is perfect and doesn't make mistakes. Mistakes are okay, it's how we all learn. These dances can be easier to plot if you cannot get all the participants you need that's completely fine, RNG will be used for this, but it will only be rolled once. (Roll an even number and it's a pass. Roll and odd number and it's a fail.) If you do want to RP then it must be by random number generator. Some soquili will be lucky and they will pass first time, some will not be so lucky and will have to try again, a soquili is allowed 3 attempts at this dance. If they don't get it right they will be told to practice for another month or so before trying again. ( 3 attempts per RP. Roll and even number it's a pass, they have completed all the moves correctly. Roll an odd number and it's a fail, they may have stumbled or had odd placement of the legs.) ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Acting ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Character and Emotive Acting Not all but most soquili on the job might end up being in a position where they have to act or take on a persona which is not them so they don't get caught or suspected, it can also be used to get close to the target or the target's family. Character acting involves being able to keep a story together, once you tell your white lie you must remember it. Foals from the herd will sometimes practice this on other foals they meet, they may give a false name. If an adult soquili is around it's essential to not mess up. Soquili may also be required to observe other soquili, the way they talk, the way they walk, their personality. Are they chatty? Are they reserved? This is also another key to how they work. Persuasion All soquili in the group are taught techniques to persuade people into doing things, this is usually used for no more than bartering and trading though. They are also taught to recognize when someone is trying to do the same thing or pull a "fast one" on them. Notes on RP You can self RP or ask the owner of another soquili if they can have their soquili observed. You can observe up close by talking to them or from afar by stalking them. Be creative with this, learn other soquili's story so your own can add it to their library of personalities. Make sure your soquili gets practice of this skill when meeting soquili they probably won't see again. Practicing this skill ensures that your soquili can recover from mistakes at more crucial moments. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Combat ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ All soquili born into the herd or apprentice foxes (a.k.a the others) are taught combat once they have completed basic stance and balance training. Type of combat is broken down into the attributes of a soquili ✿ Whether they have horns / antlers / spikes or not (how to use them) ✿ Tail type and how to use them (not often used because they are not as strong as the legs) ✿ Wing / Appendage coordination Types of Training ✿ Close combat (close up combat techniques) ✿ Ranged combat (this is normally throwing things or using projectiles in a strategic way and occasionally jabbing people with a pointy stick) ✿ Defense techniques ✿ Modified techniques for different soquili (taller soq, short soq, slow soq, faster soq, etc.) ✿ Stamina / Endurance practice ✿ Agility practice ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Expectation ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ No soquili in the group are made to or expected to have lifemates / lovemates, but may choose to do so if they feel like it. Flings are not looked down upon but to them all life is sacred so it must be something done with careful consideration as there is potential to create a life. Diversity in the group is not seen as a bad thing (in fact it can be quite good) and all children will be celebrated and accepted into the tradition (when possible, if they are skinwalkers, it is very unlikely to be accepted due to their nature, they cannot be group animals). What they are expected to do is stay with the mother of the children during pregnancy to protect her or have someone else protect her until the foals are born. They are expected to try to keep as many of their offspring in the herd as they can handle, if they can (atleast one) but this is not always possible. Notes on Breedings Flings - a foal born of someone in this herd does not automatically make them a herd member. The parent (from the herd) has to want them to be part of the herd. The herd is very tight knit so if a herd member doesn't want them to be there it could cause friction. Talk to the owner of the soquili who is a member of the herd about this prior to breeding if possible (it may not always be possible because of twisted tunnel of love events and fermented fruit drunken mixers so keep that in mind). Even send me a PM if you have any concerns, I will be happy to help. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Friendship ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ It's possible to become friends with members of the herd, but due to their use of false personalities, names and covers, who knows if it would be real or maybe it would all be lies? The herd members are encouraged to interact with other people to learn about different kinds of soquili they may encounter at any time in their lives and they deal with other soquili when they must but are told not to trust people outside of the herd with their secrets or get too close to them or else the offending herd member and the person they are spilling the beans to would both have to endure the consequences. Persistence for some might be key, for others, persistence might push them away. They're complex folk so your soquili might want to not push it too much. If a soquili joins the herd however, they have time to gain the trust of the rest of the herd and in time will have them loosen up a little and warm up to them. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯✿⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Romance and Family ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Sexuality and Preference None of the herd care whether your character is heterosexual, homosexual, bi-sexual, pansexual, poly-sexual (,etc), monogamous or polyamorous, it doesn't really matter to them because it shouldn't have an effect on the job you're doing. Pregnancy They group doesn't tend to wait around and they move where they are needed. Arrangements can be made however for the group to split off and meet back up with the family once the foals have come out of their baskets and ready to move. (The reason for this is that it is difficult for soquili to transport more than one basket at a time, especially over long distance and they are seen as a weakness because they can be stolen by those hoping to take their revenge.) Basket Snatching If a soquilli in the group wants to snatch a basket away, then they can but it is their own responsibility to move and carry. (This is a good plot point for getting your basket into the group if you would like that.) Prohibitions Members of the group are not allowed to have real relationships with the targets unless used it is used as a temporary lure. The herd tend to like to be more efficient. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Basic Info ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ✿ Roles are usually taken on by the adults, the foals won't have roles other than learning and having fun. ✿ Roles are not something you are born into however, you have the choice to try out for different roles. ✿ It's generally accepted by the group that a soquili can identify themselves as whatever gender they feel they are. ✿ This can be male, female, neither, and so on. ✿ Click this link in order to see who is part of what role. Sire and Dam ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Yuuta the Sire and Inari the Dam The sire and the dam are the leaders of the group, they may not be related to some soquili, they might not even be their biological mother/father but the Sire and the Dam are the mother and father figures of the group. They are equals but do not need to be lovers or even related. They are the main decision makers so they need to have compassion for the group, but they also need to be rational individuals. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Pre Existing ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ -The kitsunekuma are not exclusive to pawed soquili only, they will take on other breeds and non-mutants as each breed has its uses and traits. -Training will be altered according to your soquili's breed type. Baskets The herd will always sought to make their herd stronger through basket snatching. They have no problem with this at all. They think of it as putting the child on a better path in life. They rarely abandon baskets they have snatched, once they've taken a basket in, they are part of the herd and every member has some responsibility in helping the foal once they come out, whether that's feeding them, laying with them, keeping them company or teaching them to dance. Foals Sometimes the herd will take in lost foals, but often they are still very wary of foals because they know that they could potentially tell other soquili about their secrets or true way of life. Often they attempt to find the foals parents before thinking of keeping them in the herd. It's always a possibility that the foal was never lost in the first place but they'll treat them like they are. Adults Adults have it tough. If they want to join they have to be very persistent and show their dedication through being helpful and doing chores. They don't often learn any of the herds secrets in their first year of being with them but over time they are given chances to learn. Often the herd will provide for the soquili, they will bring them food, keep them company and eventually teach them new skills, the soquili in question just has to be very determined, persistent, monodist and open to new ideas. They are taught to stand before they are taught to walk, dance, fall or even kill. It's a long journey but very rewarding to be considered a fox. Often adult soquili will have to shadow others and become an apprentice in a specialty which interests them, if they can convince a member to take them on the already existing member will always be known to them as their older brother / older sister (even if they are the same age or younger) until they are initiated as a fox. Then they just simply become their brother / sister. Kitsune (foxes) is the term for someone who has joined the herd and has learned their way of life, often they are still learning new things about soquili and life, as are the rest of the herd every day. Kitsune will be provided with their own special ceremonial clothes and performance clothes, often they will perform along side other members as if they were in the herd their whole life and are then treated as such. ようこそ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ The clan gathered in a small circle, talking in hushed whispers and small grunts ( mostly from Yuuta ). Eventually, they all agreed, and it seemed to be decided just who and what their new brother would be. The Sire and Dam stopped when they got close enough, glancing at each other for a brief moment, before looking back toward the third brother. "About time you got here, Shiro.
