She laughed lightly as he spoke of his fear of commitment. "I hope that my ship would be the lucky one as to pick up a man dressed as you are." She grinned. "If only I were truely that lucky." she gazed at him.
her grin widened to a smile as he started to net her with his hair and pull her to him. She didn't resist until she was practically in his arms. She placed her hands on his chest and playfully pulled away from him.
"Oh i would certianly throw it back." she said with a laugh shaking her head, as she let him pull her in once more from swimming away. "For a human.. you have exceptionally long hair and lung capacity." she smirked and traced her fingers along his face... Her skin glowed gently and she smiled.
"you are of fey blood aren't you." she said pushing herself against him creating a tight line of her body against his and smiling at the warmth and glow they created. "Even half." she breathed with her arms wrapped around him and his hair wrapped around her. "Explains your utter perfection."
Adonis watched from the ship as the two played. They were just under the surface as he could see the black cloud of hair fill the water. He sighed gently and shook his head.
"that silly girl doesn't see it." he said honestly "Oh well We'lll just have to play some interference!!!" He grinned mischeviously rubbng his hands together. "
He paused and looked in the mirror. "Oh lordy I'm getting as bad as she" he laughed and shook his head as he decided to practice being large. He dressed in some of the clothes alex had bought him and walked out of the captian's cabin to "help" some of the crew.
In fact it was mainly to get the skinny on their new crew...

Blushing, slightly as her rather blatant, yet true, statement as to his lack of covering was brought to the fore, Draven managed a flirtatious, nearly seductive slow smile.
"Ah, yes, well, you see, in my haste to depart, I seem to have forgotten to bring a few essentials... And, I never was one to do things part-way, and if I were going to run off and not bring a few things I would need, I am the sort who would run off and bring nothing at all. Perhaps a less all or nothing approach would be yearned for, but I always was a bit gung ho."
Grinning as she played the part of the captured fish trying for freedom, he made claim, "Throw it back?! Nay! Never! For this is the catch of a lifetime! To throw it back would be to tempt the Gods to strike you down for denying what so obviously would be their one gift as they turn their eyes on you and place such a wonder in your grasp!"
As her touch placed itself along his face, Draven's skin very nearly caught fire as desire sought to fight it's way free through his very being. As she pressed her body against his, animalistic instinct overpowered reason and responded as nature intended, placing a barrier between them. His heart quickened with her proximity.
"Fey? Perhaps..", a slow, secret smile crept across his face as the sun creeps below the horizon allowing night to slowly take form. An aura rose about him and left them in an air pocket below the waves, an ellipse of a bubble leaving him dry, even as his hair continued flowing through the currents.
"I may have... a few traces of the lineage, but I have mastered that which I chose to master, he pulled her closer to him, capturing her with his eyes. Care to have me explain my way? Or... do you fear?"
His head lowered, hooding his eyes as heheld her in his gaze, a semi-sinister appearance as his raven-black hair swept around the two of them.

Alex laughed at his witty retorts and cunning remarks. She laughed as it reminded her of some of the court lords and ladies. She shook her head as he pulled her against her as best he could that is. "You are too sweet draven. Who would have known that such a quiet fellow would have a tongue as wicked as yours." she laughed.
Alex was modest enough to blush as things brushed against her. Despite herself a seductive smile curled to her lips as he looked down at her shielding his eyes from her gaze.
"your way?" she asked softly. "Please enlighten me. I would love nothing else." After a moment she grinned. "The Captian of the Reaper's Den fears nothing."

At Alex's blush, Draven realized what she was blushing over and blushed himself, he hadn't meant to press such things against her. He was flirting, but by no means had he meant to be that forward.
"My tong- Who have you been talking to!?", Draven's playful smile quirked at the corners of his mouth giving lie to the apparent anger he showed at his vehement question.
"Yes, something told me that I wouldn't be able to frighten you away from anything, even with the looming threat of Fey blood held over your head like a fat man with mistletoe. Unfortunately, I am not exactly the most powerful of those holding a smattering of Faerie geneology. I can, however..."
The area surrounding Draven seemed.. happier. Brighter. His appearance became utterly beautiful, his aura so strong, it was palpable, it held her in place and made her as entranced as men were by her. For a few fleeting moments it reminded her of someone in her past, of something she should remember, but, as most memories you strive for, slipped away like a water droplet skittering across a hot pan. The sensation didn't last long before it flickered and died. Draven was left shaking and breathing hard.
"Well, that's about all I can do for you. I'm not exactly a master of Fae Arts. Just enough to show it... and die for my efforts if shown to the wrong people. I hope you realize how much trust I'm placing in you, Cap'n. We should probably be heading back, now. We've been out here a while."
Looking up, Draven obviously spoke the truth, it was already past noon.
"Shall we away, ma'am?"
He calmly awaited his captain's orders, placing her in the control and leadership position she had earned. It was, after all, her ship, and he was her crewman.

He calmly awaited his captain's orders, placing her in the control and leadership position she had earned. It was, after all, her ship, and he was her crewman. As Draven revealed a little more of himself, she bit her lip and pressed against him further... The magic he made her see and feel brought back a flood of emotions from years ago. "Elyas." she breathed softly against his neck.. Suddenly the high was gone and she pulled back and looked at him as he addressed her as captian. "Oh.. uh." she looked surprised as he suddenly spoke of them getting back to the ship. "go." she said softly pushing away from him suddenly withdrawing from him.. "I'll be there in a moment." she said sinking slowly under the water disappointed that things weren't exactly headed to where she thought.. "I'll be there in a moment." she looked around as if dazed or searching for something.. It looked as if she were on the verge of tears when she turned from him and swam a few strokes away from him.

It had been weeks since they took their little swim about the ship. Nothing changed and it made Alex wonder if that even occured. Alex slipped back into her quiet reserved self. She barely showed her face through the journies they were taking only instructing those that needed it to know where they were going.
Along the way they obtained the Tomb of Faerie. She needed to know more of what she was dealing with. She spend days in her cabin reading it's pages to learn more about the fae and all it's culture.
'Anything interesting Alex?" Adonis smiled sitting next to her in human sized form. "You seem distracted."
"Oh.. no it's just.. I'm fey blood." she laughed lightly. "Syrens are of faerie. of course not avalon but another sect it seems."
"Well that's great! It explains your odd powers." he laughed.
"Yeah.. but, I know nothing of who I was born from or anything of the sort. However it seems as though the Syren's Kingdom resides outside of Avalon."
"Perhaps we should gather a few more pieces and then go to see if they know anything about you. There must be other's like you." Adonis added in.
"Yeah. I guess so."
"You haven't gone for a swim in a long time. Perhaps you should go?"
"No. It's..." she paused and looked out the window. "I don't feel like it."
"Is it because of Draven? That was the last time you went out for a dip. What happened?"
"We had a connection for a few moments and it was proabably the happiest i've been in such a long time, but suddenly he pushed me away and left. I don't know what to think. He's almost completely ignored me since then unless I ordered him to do something."
"Well, Maybe he's just hard at expressing himself?"
"I don't know. He made it pretty clear he enjoyed me.. well my body any way..."
"As him in for dinner to discuss his time on the ship and if it is to be permenant."
"I think that is best. Please invite him for me."
Adonis smiled and walked out of the cabin, folding his wings to fit through the door. He walked down to the lower deck and smiled as he saw Draven sitting looking out an open porthole.
"You've been invited to the captian's cabin for dinner. Please besure to be prompt."
-----------------------------
Alex sat in her chair with a large goblet of rum half filled. It was clear she was bothered but sat up as Draven was let in by Killian. Adonis was in miniature fashion behind her chair sitting on one of the statues about the room. Killian smiled and nodded as he left the cabin.
"Draven please sit." she said softly. "I would like to discuss with you your time on this ship. I would like an answer if you are to join the crew full time."
Draven opened his mouth to speak and she stood up slightly aggitated. "I've given you weeks to think on it. I want an answer now!" she hissed as she tossed her empty rum goblet to the table.
"I cannot stand this. You aggrivate me so!"
"Ma'am.. I'm sorry." he breathed gently as he looked down.
"STOP IT! It's Alex! It feels so wrong for you to call me that. I cannot think around you. Your presence invades my very thoughts. I'd say it was from your trick but I know better. I cannot stand this. I need to know why you simply left that day when we swam. You wanted to do more but you pushed me away why?" she looked at him putting her hands on the table to look at him.
"Why do you haunt me so much that I can do nothing but think of you?"
She turned and shook her head. "No.. Not always of you.. Elyas." she breathed softly. "I think of him. My first true love. The one I had always wished could be more but never could be. I thought he would be long dead by now but it seems he may have been from fey blood... You.. You remind me so much of him it makes my heart ache to simply see you but I couldn't imagine not seeing you every day...
I need to know, Draven. Are you to stay upon this ship or not?"

After Draven entered and ordered to sit, Alex began her questioning. His eyes saddened as she spoke of this love that was never to be. Inside however his heart lightened at the fact that she still thought of him so dearly.
"Captian, While it saddens me that it is not me you long for.." he lied. "I am however please that I can make your heart flutter by simply being." His smile widened ever so slightly as she turned from him to look out the window.
"Perhaps it was because I reminded you of another I left." he smiled and stood. "I know of no man that would want to only be in your heart simply because of reminding you of another." He walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Alexandria." he breathed softly into her hair as his arm slid around her shoulders pressing her back against him. "I will stay on your ship as long as you'd have me."
Alex froze under his touch as he pulled her back against him. "I should always wish you to be here." She smiled softly looking at his reflection in the window. She turned in his grasp to look up at him as he smiled down at her.
"I left that day because if I stayed as close to you as I did... I wouldn't have been able to control myself. I think I would have fallen so in love with you... I was unsure if you even wished me to be aboard at all.."
Alex looked up at him to speak but said nothing and dropped her gaze from him.
"I know now how you truely feel." He smiled and leaned forward pressing his lips against her sweetly and gently. "I have to get back on duty." he smiled. "Killian is not to be triffled with." he joked as he kissed her cheek and turned walking from the cabin.
Alex was so caught up in the moment she didn't react to any of it, With exception of blushing.
Adonis smiled and took her from behind in a giant hug. "Well did you have any worry?" He grinned, but the grin didn't reach his eyes.
"Well, yes." she said simply and rested her head against his chest. "Thank you." she whispered.
"That's my job." he kissed her forehead and pushed her away. "Go for a swim. You'll enjoy it."
"Yeah. I think I will." She smiled and stripped before jumping off the small terrace just outside of her cabin.
Adonis watched her naked body slip under water and trail a soft glow behind her. He leaned on the rail and sighed. Part of him happy for her progress in becoming happy, Part of him saddened that he wasn't the one to please this girl so.
He told her that he was her conscience, that was far from the truth. He simply was an angel sent down to help her. Little did he know he'd fall for her too. He laughed and shook his head as he looked up into the night sky.
"I think I need a break too." he said jumping off the balcony and letting his wings stretch out and pump him further into the air.

Adonis didn't know why he'd need the fly to clear his head. He wondered really why he wasn't happier for her. She was getting nicer and finding love in her life again. He landed on the top of the main mast and sat silently in the night. The moon reflected off his wings giving him the look of a fallen angel.
Perhaps that was it.. As long as she was happy and she found love... he'd have no need to stay. His job would be done and he would be gone. he sighed looking down at the little orange glow from all the lanterns on the ship.
he'd miss all of the crew and the nights in port. The fierce winds against his face... where he came from there was nothing like this. He leaned back looking up to the stars. he'd miss those... The warm baths, the drinking... He laughed and shook his head.
He could feel that Alex thought differently of him now that he was human-sized. She was attracted to him. She felt comfort in his arms. He knew she enjoyed sleeping with him because he could make her feel safe enough to do so. Otherwise she needed to stay up until she passed out. he looked out over the ocean and saw a soft glow. This glow was no doubt Alex as he continued to watch more glowing areas swam quickly towards her. They were moving fast very fast.
Something was happening and it wasn't good, the men started shouting for weapons to ready. Whatever was happening was going to be big.
He hopped off the mast and glided down to the deck just in time for alex to jump over the deck railing.
"They've caught up to me.. The Syren Guard has come for me." she said looking to Adonis. "Get the weapons ready. Prepare to be boarded."
Alex walked around screaming at her crew to be at arms.
"Alex please calm down put on some clothes." Adonis followed trying to get her to calm down and put on some clothes as she was running around naked.
"Adonis SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF THE WAY! I cannot use your methods now! understand. you think you're love and compassion is going to get me through this.. well your sadly mistaken. Now why don't you try picking up something useful for a change." she pulled the shirt out of his hands that he was following her around with and shoved a cutlass at him. "Do what is useful and fight." she turned and walked toward her cabin slipping on the shirt. She pulled on her boots and strapped a sword to her side. The shirt covered everything that was considered indecent to show. She looked over the bow and saw the group moving closer. her heart raced as the thrill of battle rushed over her.
A epic battle was coming.. and she was eagerly awaiting.
