"You know Ida? She's a lovely girl, isn't she? A very good person to know, as well. Ah. Well. Guardian Cats are actually creatures called Mauvians, and they look like earth cats but... can talk. And have the ability to awaken Senshi. They are very important, because they can help guide a senshi and deliver all the important, first awakening information they need. And of course, they keep the White Moon numbers up with the ever expanding soldiers of the Negaverse."
He smiled, knowing that it sounded ridiculous out loud, but that did not make it any less true. They really did have magical cats that gave them super powers. Knights just had their own way of awakening.
Really, he was a little jealous, if only because he absolutely adored animals, and always turned into a softie when he saw guardian cats.
"This is a he, I think. Though to be honest, I'm not sure. He's never gotten mad at me for calling him that, anyway, so I suppose that's the best I've got to go off of. And go ahead! He's very gentle."
It was true. Kilgharrah tended to act like a large dog more than anything else, though Camelot was sure the dragon was capable of fighting if it wanted to. He stood nearby just in case, resting his hand on the dragon's neck as Kilgharrah stretched its head toward Hyperborea's outstretched hand. It nudged her with a surprisingly gentle bump, emitting a low, rumbling sound as it did so.

Hyperborea's happily petted the dragon's head. "Aww you're such beauty aren't you. C'est mígnon!" She gently hugged the dragon.
"Yeah I met Ida a little while ago. She was very sweet and she helped me alot. Wow I want to meet one of these Mauvians, a talking kitty sounds so cute." She turned her attention back to Kilgharrah.
"So does every knight get a cutie like him or is Kilgharrah something special to Camelot?" Hyperborea asked hopeful that she might have a friend waiting for her somewhere on her wonder.

Kilgharrah nuzzled her hand contentedly, very happy to be petted, even though it had thick scales and it was dubious if he could actually feel her touches or not. It seemed like he could, and that was the important thing. At the very least, the dragon liked the thought of it.
Even dragons just wanted to be loved.
"I do believe that all knights can summon a creature of some nature. I had to find this sheath here in my Wonder before I was connected with Kilgharrah, but from my experience, what is true for one knight seems to be true for others. I don't believe they are all dragons, of course."
He just happened to have a Wonder tied to dragons. It only made sense for him to have one.
"Exploring your Wonder is just something you'll have to do. There is so much it has to offer you, and so many things none of us have even found yet. I could not begin to predict the kinds of things you might discover there."

"I can't wait till I find my own." she said wistfully. She couldn't wait till she was able to return to her wonder to explore it some more maybe she would find cool stuff like Camelot did.
"Oh yeah we were going to that crystal cave weren't we. I'm really interested to hear about it and see it." She remembered the cave Camelot had mentioned as she was petting Kilgharrah.
"I wonder if there will ever be a way to return people to the wonders, I mean besides the knights. Maybe there's a way to allow other people to travel to wonders freely so that places like this or Hyperborea might someday be repopulated." She thought out loud remembering how Theseus had described Hyperborea as a once vibrant and happy city.

"Oh yes, of course. The Crystal Cave is not too far from here. It was one of the first places I ever found when I came to my wonder. God, that feels like a very long time ago now. I've made myself feel old... uh... well. Anyway."
he laughed. He had been suffering jokes about his age since he started in this war, and that was some years ago now. He was used to being one of the oldest faces in the fight, but at least now he had a position that lent itself to age. It made him seem wiser, he hoped.
And not just... old.
"I'm not sure about that," he said, shaking his head. "It would be interesting, wouldn't it? Building communities in these places. Potentially safe from the Negaverse. Who knows, maybe some day we could."
He led the way into the forest. It was not a long walk before they came across a large cave that, once they went inside, sloped downwards. Following the narrow path for some distance, it opened up into a larger cavern, which was lit up by stones imbedded in the wall that emitted a soft glow. It was incredibly beautiful, and Camelot paused as he looked around at all the gems. He had not visited this place in a while.

Hyperborea chuckled "You're not that old, you look like you're my Papa's age. Though I suppose you do walk more like my Pépé." Hyperborea innocently teased.
Hyperborea was awestruck by the beauty of the cave. "Its so wonderful. Like a place out of some fairy tale." She admired the glowing gems.
She let out tired yawn. "As much as I hate to leave this beautiful place maybe we should head back soon. I need to be awake enough to get back home after all." She gave him a sleepy smile.

Camelot frowned at her, but it was mostly in jest. He even huffed a bit and shook his head, putting his arms over his chest.
"Ah, that's true. I could lose a lot of time here if I let myself, but I wouldn't want to get you in trouble or ruin your sleep. Come on, I'll take us back." He offered her his hand, since it was simple enough to get back, without having to walk all the way back to where they started.
Once she took his hand, he brought them back from the Wonder, to the library. Every time he returned here, he felt a little hollow. It was a step back, and not quite as beautiful as the flowing green hills and glimmering caves.
Though he did love the rows of books, it was just not the same any more.
"Well," he said, with a breath of air, relaxing a bit from the travel, "thank you for accompanying me, it's always nice to bring someone else along. I hope I didn't talk too much."

"No thank you for taking me, you've made one of my dreams come true!" She said with a smile and another gentle hug as she powered down. "And you definitely didn't talk to much, I learned alot. You're really wise."
She started to make her way home turning to wave goodbye. "Au revoir!"

Camelot smiled and watched her as she headed off, feeling warm from the little hug. He could not help but attach himself to all the young knights and senshi he met. He just wanted to take care of them all, maybe play parent for them, in his way. They were just kids, after all.
Most of them anyway.
He waved and let her go, then sighed and decided he probably should be heading back toward his home, too. They had been in Camelot for a while, and he was feeling the wear of the day. It was a good kind of tired, but tired nonetheless.
