Vesresh

Vesresh laughed awkwardly as his sister's green, Xibath shoved her head under his hand. “H-hi.” he said to her, petting her awkwardly.

She's soft... he thought: dragon skin had such an interesting feel to it. He found himself petting her more than he probably should, though he would stop if the dragon objected, of course. She wasn't his dragon- she was his sister's dragon, and for the time being having the big creature close was enough to calm him down a little.

He waved, shyly, at his sisters as they noticed him. “Uhh... So.” he said to the dragon, though he wasn't sure if he wanted her to respond in his head, “Should I go... over.. or...” He trailed off, blanching as someone went over, clearly asking for a dance.

Vesresh had never asked a girl out before, for anything, but the thought of it made his stomach do thirty-seven backflips and go cold, so he was pretty sure that Ceirrys was doing that: something about him was reminiscent of that feeling.

And he was talking to Esre's sisters. “Guess not.” he said, turning to Xibath a ridiculous idea forming. “Can you dance?” he asked the dragon, not sure how it would work, but he couldn't just watch. “I don't know if I can...”

Kyrieko

Jikkiri and Lagoneth

Lagoneth huffed as the music changed, though he remained, listening intensely.

he commented to Jikkiri, closing his eyes to listen – the movement of the harper's hands and the sudden erratic movement of all the people and dragons around him was irritating.

Jikkiri didn't mind this music. “I'm Jikkiri!” he said, “Nice to meet you Av'ina!” It was such an odd thing, these funny rider names. What would his be? Jik'ri? He had no idea. Either way she was shy and Jikkiri thought that was cute.

He laughed suddenly. “Oh!” he said, pointing to the wiggling blues, “Look at them!” he cooed. “Isn't that just the sweetest?”

Langoneth opened one eye – blue flecked with annoyed and firey colors – and closed it again, reassured of his rider's safety. He folded his wings tighly to his sides, an attempt to avoid any others around him: He certainly wouldn't do that... waggling thing. Not ever.

Zen and Fafneeth

Zen had been near the back of the weyrling pack when Onyal introduced them, but had been detained outside of the feast as she and Fafneeth continued an argument that apparently had been going on for some time judging by the stubborn looks on both partners faces.

"Well as I said! He's already here. He was here before you. He's stuck up here just as much as you are and you're just going to have to DEAL WITH IT!" She jammed her finger forcefully to her temple then folded her arms over her chest and stared down at the brown hatchling in front of her.

Fafneeth bared his teeth as his eyes glowed yellow. That thing is not better than me or more important than me! I don't want it anywhere near me!

Zen sighed and pursed her lips. "Look. You're gonna have to figure out how to get along. I don't care if you like him. Now or ever. But you're going to have to tolerate him. I won't be having this argument with you every time he comes around. If you don't want him near you fine. Tell him so. But he's still MY flit and that's not going to change anytime soon." Both rider and dragon reached out for a quick touch of affection, a wordless and stubborn agreement at the stalemate and the acknowledgement that yes, this argument wasn't over in the slightest.

Food, drink, and music was already swirling about in a festive chaos when Zen and Fafneeth finally made it to the feast.

Rokar and Wodeth

Rokar didn't want to be here, he wanted to be back in their bunk, reading more on how to take care of an aytpical hatchling, he had ZERO experience or training when it came to Dragons, he'd been expecting to train as a Wherhandler, not suddenly becoming a dragonrider but now he had a dragon he was shaffing well going to learn what he could, especially with Wodeth being weaker, for the moment, than most other hatchlings, at least he was bigger than the other Black clutched, the Crimson hadn't appeared too badly off either, though he'd not had much of a chance to see those two, he'd only had eyes for Wodeth when those two had hatched.

Wodeth demanded they at least make an appearance, as much as he preferred to be alone he knew when it was appropriate to show your faces in public, how were they going to do anything useful if they stayed away from everyone all the time? He'd argued with Rokar over it and as a result they were pretty late to the 'party' "They wouldn't have thrown a party if it had been a Wher hatching, for the politics of the thing, why are they throwing one for dragons" Rokar had grumped to Wodeth but Wodeth had been adamant, they HAD thrown a party so the WERE going to show. However the arguing had taken it's toll on Wodeth and he'd needed a rest and a feed before they could attend, yet another reason Rokar wanted to not bother but Wodeth wouldn't be swayed.

Rokar had brought next to nothing with him, simply a couple of changes of useful clothing, his slate and a bunch of charcoal, all of which he'd left behind in the shared bunk with another weyrling, he'd been reluctant to leave the slate behind but Wodeth had reasoned that he would speak for him should he need to. So, dressed in smart, but again, useful, clothing that he'd been given for now being a Weyrling, something that annoyed him slightly as he'd done nothing to earn it but the others hadn't been smart enough for this, or so Wodeth had decided.

They strode in, late, very late, it seemed it as already well underway, the other dragons having made an effort to socialise as well as their riders it seemed. Rokar shrugged off the claustraphobic feeling, not sure where it had come from, it was momentrarily anyway. "Right, since we're here i'm going to get some food, will you be ok for the moment?" he asked Wodeth who, after making the walk, seemed slightly out of breath but perfectly fine otherwise "i will be fine, you have been taking care of me but not yourself, eat, i will wait right here for you, we are not so far from the tables that you can't see me Rokar" informed Wodeth, who then turned his head, looking at the other dragons, not making the effort to make contact but keeping his posture one that was willing to talk, should another wish to.

He looked about and spotted the golden bulk of the Queen dragon, "Greetings Banshideth, mother of mine, i trust you are well, is everyone behaving properly?" he asked of her, even now wanting to make sure no one was doing anything wrong.

Vosin and Killakeeth

She laughed as Ves informed her Xibath had found their brother. "That's good. Hopefully he'll mingle. Is Xibath going to keep an eye on him for us?" Vos made quick selections of the food, before popping a bite-sized treat into her mouth. "Mmmm these are as good as they smelled." She didn't bother finding a seat as she ate.

Killa chirped at Ceirrys for the introduction. It's nice to meet you, Ceirrys. Vosin and I plan to go over and enjoy the harpers as soon as she is finished eating. The young dragon looked approvingly on hers. Food was delicious. She knew. I am Killakeeth, she said after a moment.

It hadn’t taken long before she was licking her fingers clean. Vos eyed the empty plate and debated a second round. Before she could make up her mind though, Ceirrys returned. Vos grinned at his question. She glanced toward Ves, “if you don’t, I wouldn’t mind.”

Dance? What is dance Vosin? The young dragon asked eagerly. She mulled it over as she got a mental image from her rider. That looks like fun. Can I join? Killa picked up on Leszyth’s comment to the others. She strolled over to join the. I wish to dance too! Who will be my partner?

”Dunno why not Killa. Just stay on the outskirts, so you don’t get in anyone’s way.” With that, she offered her hand to Ceirrys. “Shall we?” Vos waved to Esre as she went off to dance.

Kalendol and Green Kynigoth

Kalendol maneuvered her way through the throng of people, a happy dragonet trailing at her side, bouncing towards those who'd come forth with renewed vigor. <Oh mine, all the secrets to glean from wandering eyes and thoughts! The information is marvelous, yes?> Kynigoth churred up at her rider as she moved alongside her, bumping casually into things as though she hadn't a care in the world.

'I would agree, if it wasn't rude to intrude on others' secrets, sweet.' Kalendol laughed and looked down at the pale green creature. She still couldn't believe how complete she now felt with Kynigoth at her side. As they made their way to the buffet, she found herself listening readily to the music, a new sway entering her rounded hips. <Mine, oho, you call that dancing? Nay!> Kynigoth chirped and then sprang into action, waggling and acting a fool.

This naturally caused Kalendol's eyes to widen and then a raucous laugh poured from her neatly parted lips, causing her to bunch over as tears streamed from her eyes. 'You look ridiculous mine, please stop!' She begged the young dragon, smiling all the while as happiness streamed through her mind. Kynigoth, put out a little by her rider's laughter, gave a delicate huff and shook her head. <I find I am a terrific dancer. I don't see why you laugh.> She sniffed disdainfully and glanced around her slowly. <Grab some of that delicious smelling meat won't you, mine? And, Kalendol?>

'Mmm?' Kalendol glanced away from the plate she was piling food onto and down at the dragon. <Find Jamarin. Atibonth's conversations always give me the best fuel for secret hunting. Let's investigate our new comrades, yes?> Kynigoth hummed easily, gently taking a tidbit from her rider as she did so. Kalendol sighed, rolling her hazel eyes but idly nodded her head, 'Whatever you desire, Kynigoth.' She chuckled.

The pale green scanned the surrounding areas once more, casually passing her glance over her clutch mate; the keep out brown from before, Lagoneth. <Hello to you, Lagoneth, and a warm hello to yours where ever he may be. Have you secrets to share with me, brothermine?> The intrusive creature beamed a warm greeting towards the brown as she gave her green scales a little shiver of delight.

Even still she admired the other dragonets gathered with their riders, offering little snippets of conversation to idle through their minds. It was rude and invasive, but she received said name for a reason. As Kynigoth blinked her golden eyes she cast them upon the crimson Leananth. <You seem the type who has stimulating secrets to share, sistermine. Perhaps you'd spare the time to tell me something?> Kynigoth directed with a soft, trickling purr.

But then, gold Killakeeth burst into her golden sights and the green felt a prickle of unease course through her. She was a gold after all. <Killakeeth, good evening. It's a pleasure to see you and yours.> Her inner voice was respectful as she waddled beside her rider, her thoughts trained on those on the outskirts.

Kalendol sighed and then situated herself at a table, watching the gathering with hawk-like eyes. She did not want to miss anything. As she glanced around the tables, she became aware that she was beginning to search for Jamarin once more. 'He seems on my mind frequently today. Should I ask him to dance?'

<I think it's wise.> Kynigoth responded curtly, causing Kalendol to sigh even further.

Leananth sat up and looked around before spotting Kynigoth.

Laenara felt uncomfortable and no one had yet to take Nan up on her offer. Which was fine with her. She wanted nothing more than to eat a decent meal and head back to their rooms. There were a couple of weyr brats she recognized but none that she had the urge to go up to and start conversation with just because they had been in the same hold together.

Leananth huffed.

"My wall keeps me safe. I like where it is and I have no plans on moving it any time soon." Lae snorted as she offered her crimson another choice piece of meat.

Naree

Kynigoth tilted her head a little at this secret of her sisters. It was confusing. <Your secret is a desire to rule over us? Intriguing notion since we've just hatched. But an impressive thought all the same.> She smiled slowly, mentally as her faceted eyes beamed to her rider.

The pair went down the tables and then came to Laenara and Crimson Leananth. "Hello, you're Laenara right? Do you mind if my Kynigoth and I join you?" The girl asked, tilting her head carefully to the side.
