The Newford mining colony was created when the Dwarves of the northern mountains migrated to Elyris. In appreciation for being provided their own bit of land to the north, the Dwarves carved mines into the base of the mountains and use the stone and resources to make their own little civilization which had quickly become a thriving city. The buildings themselves are made of the very stone from the mountains as well as the sturdy wood from the surrounding forests. The lord's building isn't a massive castle, but a large hut that mimics the rest of the houses. To this day, Newford is well-known for immaculate masonry and masterwork weaponry.
This is where you will find most Dwarves. Their culture is outstanding and the people are proud. In Newford, the ruler takes on the role of overseeing every aspect of the city as well as personally going into battle if the commander is not present. Because of this, Newford's army almost doubles most others in terms of number, but the soldiers aren't as well trained.
Characters that are listed as NPC's are controlled by admins whenever they are needed for RP reasons. Placings such as but are not limited to Royal Guard, Economical Advisor or Commander may be taken by any character so long as they are empty or held by an NPC (contact the admin for permission). If the placing in question is held by another player, contact the ruler in-character and they may decide to accept you immediately, deny you, put it up for debate, or consider it for later. Placings with a number in parentheses means that multiple people may be in this placing, up to the number indicated.
