[ Prompt Response | Chris Reinhart ]Moving along, Chris took to the air again running another part of the course. Coming around sharply, turning sharp, blades catching the gleam of the afternoon sunlight he came down wrong. Slicing at the titans nape too early, he lost his balance, the blades doing nothing.. not slowing down at all as he slammed into a tree nearest to the dummy. The pain brought out a sharp sound from the teen as he winced in discomfort. Chris dropped his blades by accident as well during impact. Grasping for his right shoulder, he swore as he grit his teeth profoundly. He remained hanging there for a moment in stunned awe. Lowering himself to the ground he reached down to pick up his swords...realizing it too hurt. Gritting his teeth he forced himself to grip the blades breathing past the pain. He needed to finish pain or not, he wasn't a weakling. Successful Rolls: [1] [2] [3] [4]

[ Prompt Response | Chris Reinhart ]Taking to the air, and trees again he moved himself into striking range, managing to score his first hit..and by the time he went to swing with his other arm the pain of his previous run reminded him just how much it ached. Biting his lip he barely managed to land on a large branch, crouching down as he gazed down at the targets...assessing the situation trying to remain calm. Successful Rolls: [1] [2] [3] [4]

[ Prompt Response | Chris Reinhart ]Instead of putting all his swinging force and might he would instead reallocate it with speed. A quick percise hit while not as flashy, it didn't matter. As long as the "titan" was neutralized. If he didn't have the power to swing he could simply use his injured side as the point of entry. As he ducked and weaved around a low hanging branch he used that to swing himself forward faster than he'd been traveling at before. With the motion he ended it. With the wind resistance he fired another grapple as he finished the kill to carry himself to safety. "HA! Take that." he made a sour face at the crude dummy, lowering himself to the ground and going to stand with the rest of those who had completed the exercise. Rubbing occasionally at his tender shoulder brooding all the while about why his friend had been so distant. had he missed something was the other not feeling well? He'd have to find out later, for now he relaxed having finished the exercise luckily without further injury. Successful Rolls: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

It was finally over. The four weeks of toiling, learning, hurting, and aching had concluded. Those who remained stood before Baldy, who walked slowly, and with great exaggeration with each step. Arms folded behind his back firmly, those intense, unwavering eyes would lock with the students that'd managed to get through each challenge thrown their way. Behind his pacing self was Gazelle, who resumed her usual uninterested, and empty demeanor, stationed beside a table that was neatly lined with 3DMG. There was enough for each pupil to receive one, for they had successfully passed the tests. All that was left was the unceremonious...ceremony!
Well, it'd be sure to have some pizzazz and flare with Mr. Baldy around.
Abruptly, the titan of a man stopped in his tracks, heels snapping together, chest puffing out like a roosters. All attention faced towards the trainees lined before him, an extended silence awkwardly hanging between in the air. It was swiftly snapped though with that usual booming voice the veteran instructor possessed
"Looks like you've done it!" he began, chin lifting and lips curling inwards... as though withholding some sort of emotion; good or bad, who knows. "I'm sure you'd all like to be congratulated, huh? Well that's too bad!" his exclamations crescendoed with passion, and drama, eyes seeming to strain as they darted from one trainees face to the next. "This is only the first step in a long line of tests you must complete in order to become a full fledged member of the military! So don't go getting cocky, and letting your pride swell those puny, pathetic egos!" a very.... terrifying smile peeled across his face as he died down to a rumbling chuckle, "However!! You somehow were able to get by... and so you will receive your 3DMG!" With an about face turn, one of his strong arms jutted out in gesture to the gear that was on the table. "All of you have been issued a set, be sure to know which one is yours at all times! Or you will suffer grace consequences... surely a couple of grape heads like yourself can manage something as simple as that!"
As the trainees made their way cautiously to the table, under the hawk like gaze from Baldy, Gazelle assisted them to taking note of which was theirs by the code etched on the toasters rectangle metal sheaths. Once everyone had been assigned their 3DMG, they were given a lethargic "Congratulations" from the woman, before being set on their way.

November 3DMG testing
It was a truly beautiful day. The sky was a vibrant rich blue, tattered with clouds streaming across it, providing shade from the unyielding sun every once in awhile. What better day than today to start the first week of 3D maneuver gear testing?
Registered trainees were summoned to the field for their first day, the greenhorns lined up and lightly muttering to themselves as their teacher Gazelle stood stoically before them all, arms crossed behind her back. Behind her lay multiple contraptions, suitably dubbed "swings" and used for practicing balancing off the ground. It would aid in one gaining control of their body and weight when airborne, flipping and zipping about on their most useful gear.
Without any sort of prompting, Gazelle begins her speech, voice as monotonous as ever to match her flat demeanor.
"You will each practice using the swings in order to understand how it will feel using your 3D maneuver gear, and adapting to being off the ground. Focus on centering yourself, and controlling both your upper and lower body. While you do not want to be stiff, you will need to find a balance that allows you to react at a moments notice. You may try as many times as you'd like, but please be sure to let everyone have a chance. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to consult with me."
And with that, the trainees are given the go ahead to begin their practice!
